After years of being neglected and forgotten about, and also being put into terrible mortal peril each time, Kevin is finally done with Christmas. So Krampus shows up to do his thing, only to be met with a kid who knows how to booby trap.

Really disappointed that everyone went to hell in the end. In folklore Krampus was suppose to punish the wicked while Santa rewards the good. It should’ve at least spared the baby.

He didn’t send them to hell, they were all spared. This was confirmed by the tie in comic and the director. It was foreshadowed by Omi. Krampus watches them and if they fuck up again there isn’t any second chances. The Krampus in this movie universe does an extreme form of beyond scared straight basically. All the families he visits are reformed with almost 100% success rate.

I wonder how Krampus presence and dark magic has affected the other people living in the neighbourhood? I mean did Krampus teleported the family to some other dimension? The other people had nothing to do with the family dysfunctional situation so it's kinda unfair for them to live in a very cold night, other houses being empty etc. I would lile the idea of that burning lava pit was the exit of that dimension to their home and that the cold night time was the actual underworld but Krampus was playing games with them.
