I think that if Thor had survived he and kratos would have shared a bunch of old war stories. Which would have been therapeutic for kratos somebody that could understand what kind of monster he once was
I don’t think Thor would be a guy who calls people brother considering how he seemed to despise his biological brothers. I feel like Kratos and mimir would say it so much that he would eventually start to though.
@@dionjaywoollaston1349 I believe it was the Romans: Graecia was the Roman term for that land. They named them after a group of hellenic settlers who arrived in Southern Italy in the region they called "Magna Graecia," and they took that name to refer to the entire Greek people and region. The Greeks knew their own land as something along the lines of "Hellas," which is where our term Hellenic comes from. (Note that Hellas is anglicized version of Ἑλλάς) Modern day Greeks refer to their own country as "Ellinikí Dimokratía," or Hellenic Republic, and the modern version of Hellas "Ελλάδα" (Ellada) for short.
@@semillakan6 Oh he does why do you think he kept trying to keep Kratos off his back. He tried to avoid him at all costs but Atreus kept pushing his buttons.
I feel like he doesn't say it often because not only was it not a proud period of his life but it also gives away how much of a fucking menace he was The most interesting part is that he has not mentioned that he has died on multiple occasions then killed his way back out of the underworld. The fact death can't stop him is valuable info that he keeps close to his chest (Haven't seen the full story so pls don't give any spoilers on if this changes in ragnarok or stuff)
@@semillakan6 considering odin's first response is to broker peace when he meets kratos as opposed to just killing him should tell you everything, literally every other threat odin either takes care of or just curses, but he did not wanna fuck with kratos whatsoever.
I love Kratos being asked about his feats, being told they’re surely a bit exaggerated and then he just goes “nah, I did that shit. It’s all real.” in the most nonchalant way possible. Their reactions are hilarious, too.
Even disregarding his blunt way of speaking, these aren't exactly memories he'd parade around as funny stories, so it makes sense he's so calm about it. It's not a pretty memory in the slightest.
@@bababooey5402 Yeah pretty much, a lot of people say he was offended but when he repeats back “exaggerated?” I think it’s just him being curious about what they’ve heard, at this point of the story he would give them any answers to most of his past if they asked. He doesn’t lie about his battles or feats and would probably tell them if something actually was exaggerated or completely made up.

@@adamthompson4072 this just made me realise that in god of war 2, he was a fucking mortal for all of the shit he did! He was tricked by Zeus to putt ALL of his godly energies into the blade.
They know; they just didn’t believe it was possible for someone who mess them up like Kratos did. It’s why they’re shocked when Kratos states he, in fact, did do all that shit: if the Greek Gods were mega badasses like the Asgardians, and Kratos wrecked their shit, then the Asgardians are all the more scared cause that same Kratos is now being a dad in THEIR home. It’s not some bed time story. The dude is real, his actions were real and he’s gonna mess you up just as badly. It’s awesome.
@@yellowcard8100 baldur or heimdall alone could probably beat at least half the pantheon, especially the likes of hermes, helios, hercules, perseus. The greek pantheon is stronger not bc of the individuals apart from zues, poseidon and hades, but because they just have that many more characters
@@Ralphotron *World. The greek pantheon's "World" is Flat with Underworld beneath and Heaven above meanwhile The Norse one has Yggdrasil with its 9 realms sits on its branches, completely different how their supposedly "world" works
Wouldn’t have fixed anything honestly. Kratos would still have his rage at what happened initially. If he went back and saved them he would still be a pawn of Ares and the gods, which in theory could led to something worse for his wife and daughter. Fate isn’t a simple concept. Kratos changing his own fate is one thing. He had the power to do that. But changing his families is unfortunately a other issue.
That's the thing about Greek Kratos- He chose violence and revenge over letting go of his rage and saving his family. Or even if he had time traveled and went back to his family, the Greek Kratos still wouldn't have let go of his rage so easily

Nah bruh, the funny part is when you’re on the boat in Vanaheim she says, “You know I could’ve killed you right?… But Atreus was there. You wanna go again?” Or sum like that and I’m like she trippin. These Nordic Gods don’t understand how chaotic Kratos truly can be.

Lmao when you put it lack that. I did laugh Freya backed out of the fight with kratos fairly sharpish after he informed her he managed to single handedly kill all the gods in Olympus
I can just imagine Kratos having a full on "This how it happened" to Mimir and Freya and they both agree not to tell Atreus cause he'll freak the F out
Why would Atreus? This is Ragnarok; by now he knows his dad is the Ghost of Sparta; heck, he even asks about it on travels, to which Kratos no longer hesitates to answer. Chances are, he's probably heard this one before, at least away from Mimir.

This made me think, ina all out war between pantheons (hypothetically speaking) would the Greek beat the Norse? This scene made me think that. The Norns used accurate predictions to guess peoples fate. The Greek literally had a whole ass system of fate. And in convos it’s hinted that the Greek were more powerful. Plus I can’t wrap my head that an enraged Thor lost too a calm kratos unless this is the case
@@masonwright7700 No, they are certainly not. The Norse gods were depicted as stronger, faster and wiser than your fellow man, but they didn't possess any extraordinary elemental abilities, save a few (Thor could summon lightning with Mjollnir). Whereas every Olympian god was blessed with control over a certain element (Zeus=Lightning, Hades=Souls, Poseidon=Water, Helios=Sun, Fire, etc). Compared to the Olympians, the Norse gods were little above enhanced humans.
Man I'm so glad they nailed Freya's character to. Whether it was on accident or not the deliveries of the main cast are spot on. I think thrudd was the only one that sounded off to me
