@@TheStraightestWhitest Really? i always felt that the gods in souls series were rather weak, you know, how even mundane weapons are able to hurt them an so fort. Maybe they leave that impression because they dont have so much spectacle as the fights on God of War.
@@hesstarr2 ''you know, how even mundane weapons are able to hurt them an so fort.'' First off, that's Souls, not Elden Ring. Dark Souls caps around planetary. Bloodborne even lower. Elden Ring caps at beyond the conceptual level. Someone like Radahn could literally flick the planet Dark Souls takes place on out of existence, and he's nowhere near the strongest being in Elden Ring. So they're not really comparable. Furthermore, that's gameplay mechanics. Lore wise a God in Elden Ring cannot be slain by anything other than a weapon enhanced by a master smith using the scales of Placidusax, a dragon deity that transcends space and time. And as for spectacle, I think if you fight Starscourge Radahn, it's more spectacular and a greater display of power than just about anything in God of War. Look at how Heimdall or Odin or Zeus fight, and then look at Radahn (either version) or Maliketh or Placidusax or Malenia or Bayle. There's not much comparison. The former three fight like mildly enhanced humans with a few magical tricks and spells, while the latter all fly around and actually fight like gods with insane speed, abilities, movement, etc. I think Poseidon is the most impressive God from GOW if we're talking spectacle, but even he is passive as fuck and mostly just looks cool while his sea crab legs do everything for him. But if we're talking lore wise, Kratos nearly blew his back out flipping Tyr's Temple, which has a confirmed weight of 1.7 million tons (hill level weight), and he died to a single headshot from Mjolnir wielded by Thor, Thor who just in the previous game was quoted as such by Mimir: ''Not even Thor with Mjolnir in hand could get through that much ice.'' About a 20ft or so sheet of ice. So yeah. We got a guy whose strength caps around mountain level and whose durability isn't even equal to that of really thick ice, against a guy who holds a universe in stasis for shits and giggles using his mind, who tanked an explosion from an Outer God that if not for the actions of him and his Redmanes would've terraformed the entire planet, who's so fast he makes light move slow and can move in places without time or gravity, and who's physically strong enough to contend with beings that make earthquakes and split continents with their hands. It's not very close. Having played every GOW game as far back as the PSP, I love the series and its protagonist (minus Ascension and Ragnarok), but think Kratos is insanely overrated in terms of strength. There's a 3 hour scaling video done on the guy that puts him exactly where I've always thought he was, which is in the mountain level range. Rant over, lol.
@@TheStraightestWhitest i know right? the lore is pretty crazy, yet, poor bastard, i still kill him with a scimitar, twice, even if a 6ft fall ends my foolish ambitions. Gameplay did him dirty i guess, am i right?
@@hesstarr2 Yeah the gameplay limitations are being pushed, but it's hilarious how they still make a mockery of what lore wise is just indescribably cool. It's like in AC Valhalla, you can literally play as Odin, but jump too high without landing in a haystack and you're cooked. Same in Elden Ring. 0-19m you're okay. 20m is instant death. Meanwhile Kratos can't even jump at all anymore unless it's for a very scripted setpiece. Ahh, the ancient gameplay VS lore conundrum.
Is Radahn the Demi-god of War? Makes sense since he is a demi-god that became something close to a god with Miquella. If Kratos, well, he's not a demigod, dude's been a full-blown god since GoW III
Well, depends on the timeline. Radagon is a closer fit IMO, but the true Outer God of war, is the Fell God. After all Radagon himself has ties with the Fell God, although it's pretty obscure archeology, not the thing you'll find in a Vaati video.
@@loneshinobi2682 I can see that happening lol😅 but there were times where Kratos did not wish to fight. But sadly did not have a choice. I'm revering to Hercules btw
@@Hired_Merc oh for sure! Kratos would have been happy to let Hercules be but unfortunately his arrogance cost him his life. The fact Kratos even called him “brother” definitely spoke volumes to me anyway. He viewed Hercules as much a victim of the gods manipulations as he did himself
@@loneshinobi2682Arrogance can blind a man, and it cost him his life. Hercules knew challenging Kratos would be a dangerous move. But like i said Arrogance can blind a man to the truth. Atleast Kratos got the most fun weapon in GOW 3 lmao love them knuckles. Forgot the name of them
Kratos: So you are the strongest god that resides in this world? Mark my words, and mark them well! I am Kratos the God of War and you will not see the end of this day. All Gods must be destroyed. For i am, The God Killer
If you're porting characters into Elden Ring, may I suggest to you Skylanders? Chop Chop, Krypt King, or Eye Brawl could likely all slot in pretty well.
Hercules struggled lifting a slab of stone. Radahn holds a universe in stasis with his mind. I'd say they're worlds apart in terms of strength and power, but that'd be inaccurate. It's more like universes apart.
@@TheStraightestWhitest Santa Monica has stated that every god demi-god etc that they depict in the games is the one from the actual mythology with tiny story differences to match the alterations they made to their story. Thus hercules has the same Greek mythological feat of lifting the infinitely expanding heavens on his back (that includes every single celestial body [star asteroid and planet] in said heavens). They have also said that the way they depict them is limited due to gameplay limitations (Firstly they can't have hercules, kratos and the other gods destroying universes with their punches because first of all it would be boring to play a universe busting simulator. Secondly you really wouldn't know what was happening on your screen). You can put the same slab of stone accusation against Radahn too. Yes we know the stars resume moving when he dies but that doesn't help his case much, he or pretty much every other demi-god, legend or god in the game only ever destroys their multiple city block sized arenas and their debris when you fight them... That doesn't mean that they are only ever capable of that. That is why we take lore into consideration and thus..we give him the benefit of the doubt and indeed believe Radahn's lore feat of holding the stars in place. Therefore since Santa Monica has stated it as well, we also take into account all the feats Hercules does in the original greek lore for the GoW counterpart. Put some respect on actual mythologies and their characters.. they inspired your beloved Elden Ring after all...
@@Sanest_E He held the skies in mythology, which is different in the GOW games where Atlas holds the World Pillar which only holds Greece (and can be released with no consequence, meaning no real weight). Also, the skies aren't cosmos in mythology. Hercules is a wall level pushover in both lore and gameplay of GOW.
@@TheStraightestWhitest Nice cope. GOW characters are multi universal at the bare minimum and this is without even scaling them to the Higher dimensional Yggdrasil.
@@rohaneo Higher dimensional? A place where time and space are both intact? Don't make me laugh. Every GOW ''scan'' is fanboys pulling things out of their asses like the ''yGgDraSil iS aN iNFinTe sTrUCTurE bEyoND dImeNSioNs'' and other dumb shit like that, same as that ya'll keep claiming the nine realms are each also infinite universes. Just watch that damn 3 hour debunk. The devs straight up contradict all of that bullshit. GOW is one single finite universe. The series caps at universal. Ragnarok, its strongest character, caps at dwarf planet level. Asgard is described as ''A small planetary body'', and he dies destroying it, meaning he's tied with ''a small planetary body''. And the strongest version of Kratos had to run from that guy, so clearly Ragnarok > Kratos Cope.
By the god!, Kratos wants a piece of Radahn! After he got mocked and loses his shit from the Monkey King Sun Wukong! 😂 and got robbed by Elden Ring game of the year
you are making him look weak in front of these flashbang weakling. hes as strong as a olympus sentry in front of kratos, weakling is just standing there with a {o} on his head for kratos to rip apart in seconds
Maybe you missed the part where Kratos Didn't sprint or even run once, dude was just walking the entire fight and radahn couldn't land one hit. so I think we good on the whole Kratos strong as f..k part.
Interesting mod, for a fight that accurately would have ended on Kratos being obliterated by Radahn at his first hit, and being blitzed into oblivion by Miquella's light
