Kraus Handlebar & Riser Setup - 2018 Harley Street Glide Installed

We had a local customer drop off a 2018 Street Glide with a stock handlebar setup on his bike. He wanted to upgrade to a T-Bar style using the Kraus T-Rex Plate, 10” Straight Risers and Kraus Moto Bars.
Install is generally straight forward. We did do away with the fork lock here at our shop. If you want to do the same, you can either hit up your local dealership or shop that can flash the ECM. Hit us up if you have any questions or if you're in the local Philly PA area and are looking to have a similar setup installed.

Just a little from experience with mine; if it's a 2014 it's a gamble to have it flashed to be wireless. Apparently the dealership here said the flash to be switch less may not work with some of the 2014 models. I first opted to go with the digital guard dog, but I had issues with it, so I got the switch relocation kit to put the ignition where the horn is using a road king ignition switch. Now I'm wrestling with a 2nd road king ignition switch because the tumblers keep falling out...

That's what I'm doing rn is risers and a softail switch. Do you still have issues with the switch?

I like that setup. But here my question. I want to remove my batwing and have a roadkill nacelle. But have the gauges mounted on the bars Question is my SG is a 2012 how do we get around the fork lock so the bike can be started

Do you have to get longer brake cables for that or can you just re-route the existing one to make it long enough?

I want to go with their setup on my SG build. I wish theyd figure out a way to run HD heated grips. Daily rider and want to keep the grips for early morning commute. Looks great!

For heated grip applications we run the Biltwell OS handlebars on the Kraus risers.

@@Getlowered Thanks. Ill check em out. You guys ever run Lucky Daves T bars and plate. Looks like you can keep the ignition lock setup. Not sure about grip heaters yet.

Hi, your SG is very beautiful, nice bike. I'm a SG rider from Taiwan and I have a 2014 style SG. May I ask what parts did you use to set your handlebars from the top of the upper tree? Really like your bike handlebars. Have a nice day, this is a blessing from Taiwan. thanks

@@savagestunts5280 Only if it has a key fob. Otherwise you'd have to re-locate the switch somewhere.

I like this set up and was wanting to know if with the 10'' risers and me at 5'7'' would I be able to see the speedo and gauges OK or would I need to be a little taller? Thank You very much.

Screen is blocked but you should be able to see gauges.

Just got this same set up but the 12 inch for my 09 street glide. Will I need to extend the brake and clutch lines??

I have a 2021 street glide was thinking about doing 12” kraus isolated risers can i keep my stock cables ?

I believe that should work with stock cables but I can't say for certain with the new cable clutch.

In my opnion: buy a dirt bike if you want bars like this. When i see those bars it reminds me of a kids dirt bike bars when you are 6 years old. Why put something like this on a expensive bike like this, blocking your nav also????
