I totally do have a patreon! I try to put links to all relevant stuff in the video descriptions, so if you're ever looking for something, try there first. www.patreon.com/absurdheroine
I love that you vocalize your thoughts, and I love even more, that you don't badmouth the opponents or what decks they play. A lot of other creators could learn from that. Subbed :)
Nice video and nice deck. I love jank too!!! Funny how it seems your channel got recommended to a lot of people (reading the comments) It was also recommended to me and I am glad it was. Keep up the good work!
Your videos are a refreshing touch. I love to see a lady streamer doesn't pander to inane behavior and/or trashy cam positions. Even though it seems sometimes you are a bit uncomfortable or trying to remain a little extra reserved, I love it when you break from your that demeanor every now and then and really enjoy getting a combo or topdeck. Top notch content, tyvm.
First video I have watched of yours. I ran a similar build but it was mono red, and retired it for new stuff. I never even though about trying to hydra him! Great idea!
Calix, Destiny's Hand works well for digging for enchantments, or at least eating 5 or so damage. Also Cavalcade of Calamity worked well for just throwing goblins at your opponent when i tried this deck in paper. Cavalcade also works with heliod's pigrim and nessian wanderer if theyre not pumped
I would suggest you add Warbriar blessing to give you additional interaction against your opponent's creatures because it makes the enchanted creature fight a target. Another card to consider is Hushbringer as it gives you a flying lifelinker to enchant and it hoses a lot of come into play decks like cat oven for example.
Very elegant deck! Agree with most people... Kind a different aproach to enjoy mtg with your videos. Congrats. May I ask about that add-on with the cards probability? Thanks!
I love these headphones so much that I bought a second pair for work. The foam covering is starting to peel now after many years of heavy use, but they still work great, and I will keep them until they fall apart, then buy another pair.
hey, just discovered you. its fun watching you play interesting decks. as a german i dont have many options watching MTG Arena in german (and even many of german player play with english cards) its so annoying to have cards and commentary in different languages. keep on drawing land and stay healthy
First time viewer i have a recommendation for this deck. How do you feel about dawn of hope? Because you can make bodies to block with plus the life gain. If you get some to stick it also becomes card draw.
It's a big mana investment, unfortunately. I think a lifegain route would fix some of the deck's problems, but there's a more efficient way of putting lifegain in. I saw someone mention Impassioned Orator. We apparently don't have any lifegain auras right now RIP
I think U should consider some improvements, here's some suggestions: * for life gain (from the Kranko tokens) : 1. Daxos 2. Impassioned orator * for get rid of flyers: 1. Domri's Ambush - (+ a 1/1 counter bonus ;) ) 2. warbriar blessing * for massive damage: 1. Fling - (when u wanna win and can't attack, just sacrifice a huge creature and finish your opponent) *for more conters: 1. Evolution Sage 2. Ajani The Greathearted *to protect Kranko: 1. Alsied of life's bounty and U should consider using protection from colors to attack the opponent too! hope I gave U some food for thought :)
To make this a serious deck you can put in 2 copies of divine visitation for the season of growth’s and add some enchantment fetch. Still janky but slightly more lethal!
My favorite card is the main card here! You're a mad man! Mad woman? Anyway, I'm so inspired by this deck. I'm gonna need to try it for arena. I use Krenko for my commander, now to torture the arena with him!
how long did it take to fill out most of your library so deck building is easier? I notice you almost always have 4 of all cards other than maybe rares or mythics
Just discovered the channel, more jank is always good! Nessian wanderers seem very good actually, i have to start taking them into account. relentless pursuit seemed a bit medium though.. the deck has a lot of bad hits and can't use the graveyard
Wouldn't Alseid of Life's Bounty work better instead of God's Willing? I think it'd be great since you can essentially tutor it with Heliod's Pilgrim, and has synergy (I think) with Nessian Wanderer. EDIT: Got the two cards mixed up. It definitely has synergy with the Wanderer but not the Pilgrim.
@@demonicell I agree but I'm not sure what would be the first to cut for 12 cards of protection in Alseid, Karametra's Blessing, and God's Willing. That said, 12 extremely defensive cards that don't necessarily stop an opponent's card from seeing the board feels risky in itself. I think Alseid and Karametra's is plenty for the deck but I'm curious to see what would happen.
@@TazdingoDonzyy I'm not sure either. I would have to build a deck and try it out. Not sure I have the cards to build this one or not, I'll have to wait until I can play.
So I actually considered Alseid and chose Gods Willing over it for a few reasons. Gods Willing interacts with Season of Growth better and it's an unknown card in your hand rather than a known issue on the field. Granted, there are pros to having a known protection card and having another creature to enchant, and a life gain one at that, isn't a bad idea. I'd say either are fine choices, but wouldn't put 4 of both in.
Isn't there a green 3 drop that draws you a card and gets +1/+1 counters when you play enchantments. Like, I love the jank but that would make the deck stronger.
43:46 FWIW you could have shocked in Temple Garden to play God's Willing to draw the Karametra's Blessing to protect against a Shatter the Sky. Still would have been dead, but it was a play.
This is the first video of yours I'd seen, clicked on it just for Hydra's Growth. If anyone complains about janky decks, tell them to go play mono-red and shut up.
Amazing how you get to play against all these rather janky decks as well, I never get that lucky it seems when I try to play my Janks ;) keep it up, great stuff EDIT: the janky opponents keep coming, it's amazing! even Teferi is tolerable that way...
Question: do you think you'll increase how often you upload? First time seeing your channel and apparently a lot of people are in the same boat! I guess your channel is surging in popularity now; that's pretty exciting. Congrats! Out of curiosity I took a quick look at the themes of your recent videos and I think I'll subscribe. I watch Mono Black and CGB, but you seem to have more creative brews than they typically do (the deathtouch spirit? awesome card to build around), so I feel like your content will kinda balance theirs in my experience.
I would love to make more, and I most certainly will! There are a few life things that will need shifting around in order to make the time to do so, but know that all the support I get from awesome people like you help me get closer to that reality every day.
I...never get these opponents when i play on play queue with my jank :/ First one seems to think ugin's conjurant is an artifact because it's colourless... second one didn't get his win con back with the menagerie (the 2 drop that pings for 2 and would end the game in two turns). When i play on casual queue i get mono red and azorius trawler or thought erasured on turn 2 and 3. where's all these people playing limited decks? Edit: Oh god, and the third one gives up on lethal (he'd lose anyway, but...) and the fourth doesn't read the cards. hahaha i think i'd feel bad winning against these people On another note, i think the aura that gives flying might be better too, it makes it possible to block fliers and fly over deathtouchers But the deck seems really nice xD it gets pretty hard to stop it once it gets the ball rolling because of the scries.
I think the third opponent must have been brand new. They were playing with the Oko, The Trickster pre-constructed deck. They probably picked up that deck and put in the code to get it in arena and just started playing haha.
I am going to try this with giant growth, infuriate to make as many tokens as possible and combine heraldic banner with unbreakable formation for big tokens
Mirror Shield is slow and Krenko is already slow. It's a nice idea but you'll just get run over so quick. Karametra's Blessing and Gods' Willing are only temporary but that's what you usually need: efficiency and good timing.
Wouldn't you have gotten more value out of an all that glitters? Not to be picky, this looks like a fun deck just had a ton of enchantments on the board and deck already lol.
It's not an awful deck. It's a standart Sorin plainswalkers deck. Given for free. This is what people play MTGA if they are not streamers and can't donate a $50 every day to play different standart meta decks based on pretty much only mythics.
I agree with your sentiment about the pay-to-win aspect of set design, but the free decks ARE awful decks (or if you prefer to avoid the judgemental word, let's call them "comparatively very weak") - which is of course the point.
Honestly? Because I released a Krenko Woodland Champion video a month or so earlier and didn't want to be repetitive. Its a great addition though, if you want to add it yourself!
@@AbsurdHeroine So my thought was use hydra's growth on a Butcher. It's a similar growth to Krenko, but when the butcher dies, he does damage to the opp face. Thinking about it, I think the white protection is just too important in this meta. Which brings me to the next idea, Mardu enchantments on Dreadhorde Butcher. My other jank I'm trying to make work is high alert with all the blue and white walls. Having a 4/4 and a 5/5 swinging on turn 3 is pretty frightening. ;)
@@AbsurdHeroine You'll be better than I am at figuring it out. Although, it doesn't matter what I played today, I lost everything. I'm better at tweaking decks than crafting from scratch.
