These rappers can talk about the reality of the streets all they want, but they also have a responsibility to project a new future and better reality for our young people!

Okay but as the youth sees that these rappers can turn their lives around and make something better, they think of themselves doing it too. There’s two sides to every story but this side is more than reasonable.

Drill is just music like anything else... look at them kids that listen to Rock and metal and shit... some of that music talks a madness... people even kill themselves listening to some of the songs they have but nobody says ban rock music. People just need to stop tryna come up with excuses because once it ain't in the booth it will be more on road with action. All because people do not agree with what the song says they start doing this type of shit. That I agree with but the rappers have two responsibilities: To reflect the reality that they live in AND to project a new future for our black boys to follow. These rappers should be in parliament wear a suit and tie because they're killing our boys. All they talk about is: Sex Drugs Murder Worshipping European Materialism Colorism All these problems came before the rappers however they GLORIFY it they POPULARISE it they INSTIGATE it and by doing that they FUEL more! You know it! Music is so powerful as it puts you in a frame of mind. Like athletes they put certain music to put them in a certain frame of mind, Parties require music in the background to put people in a certain frame of mind. Artists have a responsibility in any culture.

the thing is saying "ban drill" is removing an entire group of opportunities while offering no solutions in return. mfs make drill music because they don't have a path to leading a decent life "within the system". instead of addressing the actual systemic poverty putting kids in these situations in the first place mfs want to take away the one escape route kids have found. "drillas" are victims of the UK's socioeconomic system...so instead of taking accountability for the way these kids have been cast aside by society, they're cast as both the victims and offenders at the same time.
So in the end one guy makes it out the hood with his drill music, but his drill music then goes on to influence hundreds of other young people to live that lifestyle. Good one.

If no one else noticed the amount of drill rappers that are in this video then you are slipping. In the space of like 20 seconds you see Headie, Unknown T and Abra Cadabra. Also the fact that Fumez is in it as well is a madness, the whole video is a madness! Big ups to Krept and Konan, 2 of the most influential people to come out of south London period.
@@JackovdaBoro being groomed into committing crime isnt our kids problems, very little work/help for people who havent got good qualifications. some people from london would never see £100 a day and their mums cant support them on benefits or on a shit job. do you expect young people to lay down and die in poverty? or find an income any means possible? its not that simple, id give my life in london for a chill life in the country in a hearbeat
COBALTJACK33 it also costs more to live here. I’m university educated and work a good job full time at a young age. I’m not saying it’s impossible to be successful. I’m saying that it’s not possible for everyone to be in a position me or you are in
@@JackovdaBoro also the fact is that these guys are poor and their parents don't have enough money. So they sell drugs, get nicked and when they come out it's hard for them to get a job. And even if they do it'll be very low pay. So they go back to selling drugs which is easy money. Its an endless cycle

Look drill music is also one of the reasons youngers wanna jump on road, listening to it just puts you in that mood, however it’s all also one of the reasons people jump off road as they could direct their emotions in music instead of the streets & get paid for it

You take a tune down then it doesn't affect one person it effects the person's family so they go and sell drugs to supply for their family.

Make your music, but inspire the younger gen to get out of the ghetto, to get an education and do better than those that came before them. Don't glorify taking someone's life.

I know I am a bit late but, I made a presentation based on my GCSE’s about Drill and what the effects of banning it are, using this Vid, and I got a Distinction!

This is just 10 per cent of the problems in our society there is so much more to be done and help young people to be on the right track in their life so they don't end up in the wrong places regardless of their background, ethnicity and wealth..let's look at the bigger picture instead of focusing just on one factor.

Two key points this video doesn't address: 1. You don't want to have your music taken down, do not glamorise violence. Okay, you're rapping what you lived... But put a different spin on it. An example is Nipsey Hussle who still portrayed what he lived but focused on legal money, getting out of the hood, etc. 2. Rapping, trapping, sports are not the only way to make a lot of money. I understand a 9 - 5 may not be for you. Fine. Not for me either. Then start a business, sell something online, do something. The playing field is equal and we all have opportunities. Regardless of your background. Especially with the internet where anyone can create something. (RU-vid, Shopify, trading, etc.) Get off social media and learn something. Use that hustler spirit in a legal business. No police. No jail. No beef. And don't wait for "privileged" white people to hand something to you. Aren't you a man/woman? Especially black men. We are alphas. Let's create our own success. Whilst drill may be exciting and intriguing, it promotes negativity and keeps us in jail and killing one another. That's a fact. P.S I grew up in South. Just spent more time than the average person wanting to learn how people get legally rich. Was blessed to find the answer and am on my way there. For the youth, a good start for you: Two book recommendations: Think and grow rich and Rich dad poor dad. Absorb the information. Also, stay off social media as much as possible. It's cancer. Couldn't have said it better. Thought because of the title that the video would address these issues. Instead makes theses thugs seem like victims. Dont get me wrong in some aspects they are e.g. Institutional racism however they have a shit mentality of killing ppl and rapping about it gloating to others.
Great educational film. Should be shown in school all across London. Let the truth be told, banning drill music is their way of stopping youth from pursuing they dreams n executing a goal. Creativity is a skill that should never be banned...
Listen !!!!! This was definitely a moving short film coz it’s so true and now you have just shown both sides and it is needed!!! Imagine I did my disso on knife crime and incorporated drill music this would’ve been a perfect example to include 🔥🔥🔥
