I purchased two of these candles from your eBay a month or two ago and absolutely love them. Where I live right now there is a lot of smoke in the air from forest fires. Tonight there was also a rain storm. We also just had a new cedar deck built. When I just walked outside onto the deck and smelled the "wet" smoke combined with the wood from the deck, I IMMEDIATELY was transported to the scent of this candle. This fragrance that I am smelling outside as we speak is exactly the base of this candle. I never quite understood what you meant by the wet smoke as I had never smelled it before other than in this candle but now I have. EXCELLENT analysis. I'm so impressed that you were able to get that from this candle! I'm also so impressed that Kringle was able to replicate that scent SO authentically. Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to own this candle. It's one of my favourites and is so special to me.
you're so brave for being there at night. i could never, because my imagination runs wild. i love that there is always a cool story to the candles you review. i hope you review more kringles, because i have never burned them.
Chihiro Miyazaki ... I certainly plan to focus a bit more on Kringle in the coming weeks. I was just at their headquarters store and was going to film a string of segments, but unfortunately, my stay was abruptly shortened partially because of these Salem videos. I'll be back at Kringle very shortly. It was a bit chilling in that cemetery, I won't lie. And thankfully, I got out safe. 😁

Sounds perfect for All Hallows Eve.🎃✨Gotta say I'm loving your content & your direction! Your approach helps us get out of our usual candle "comfort zone", look at our feelings about fragrance & candles from a new perspective, & engage with the larger world in ways we might not have previously explored. Different people, settings, & ideas - plus wit, humor, & an excellent knowledge base. It's all good! 👍 Ok - you asked for ideas. 😏A lot of us love the tree/forest fragrances: but descriptions all seem to get lumped together. Don't know if this is feasible; but would love to see something exploring the differences in say - balsam, fir, pine, spruce, etc. (birch & cedar are a little easier). I tripped on a tombstone, spilled hot coffee all over myself, hopped a stone wall, dropped my keys and accidentally scared some kids. Phew, what a night. 😁 Maybe I'm repeating myself here, but I think it's warranted; thank you so much for all of your positivity, kindness, support and encouragement. This documentation undertaking wasn't generated from boredom. I've put a lot of careful consideration into what I've done and what I plan to do. Um, locked in a cemetery at night? That is what Halloween nightmares are made of! I actually can't believe they did that to you! I have never smelled this candle, but I think it sounds absolutely fantastic!! I really enjoy the burning wood smells. One of our favorite winter candles from BBW is Fireside and Fireside Marshmallow. And in regards to your channel, I think you are doing everything right! I am so enjoying it and you are so creative and original in what you do! You are going to make it big on RU-vid. Thank you for all your hard work!

Again, like all of your other videos, this review is phenomenal! You are quickly becoming one of my favorite candle reviewers here on RU-vid. I'm one of those that typically has an adversion to the strong smokey smells but mixing it with a cola scent sounds super intriguing. Keep up exactly what you are doing, it is so enjoyable to watch! The very best thing we can do being "candle enthusiasts" is to keep an open mind. So, similar to what you mentioned in your comment, I'm unenthusiastic and weary of many types of scents, but I always approach a new candle with a open mind. Great job on your videos and detailed analysis ! When you said that you were in the wine industry I smiled because I remember I went to Cain winery a few years ago...We sat around a table and talked about a glass of wine in ways I never thought of....The earth, the air etc.etc. so, you definitly remind me of the wine host that day ! After watching your reviews I am going to give some candles a second chance in the store....see if I can notice things before closing the jar and moving on ! Keep up the great work. I am so late to the game here, but I love your videos! I am hoarding the last half inch of my Witch's Cauldron candle, and hope that the rumors are true that Kringle is re-issuing WC in the 2019 season. Your description of the candle's notes are spot on. I knew it was very different from Yankee Candle's Witches Brew, and I could identify the smoke and the lack of that earthy/patchouli that WB has, but I never paid attention to how sweet the back notes of the candle are. I am trying to think of what candle Kringle makes that I could burn at the same time as their Firewood scent to replicate Witch's Cauldron. Awesome setting, btw! I wouldn't mind being locked in that cemetery!
This sounds like something I'd really like...& if the smoke was too much I'm guessing a nice vanilla would balance things out wonderfully. Sorry to hear it's no longer available &, more importantly, hope you managed to escape!!! This is the first video of yours I've seen & I'm looking forward to checking out more!

I missed this one this year! Darn. But I like to try new Halloween candles so I picked up Spooky Mansion Wood Wick candle by candeo candle. Also, I'm on the lookout for Disney's the Haunted Mansion gargoyle candlestick holder :D

I really enjoyed this one! I'm so sad I didn't know about Kringle when these Halloween candles were out. 😭. I know about them but never heard any descriptions of them. I would love a Halloween collection and Kringle's candles are absolutely beautiful. Wood and fire scents happen to be my favorite! You described that so well I know just what you mean. I probably wouldn't like this. I don't care for that expired fire scent or that that smell of barbecue. I guess that must be hickory then I don't like? I don't care for Dr. Pepper or cherry scents either. This does sound so unique and complex. I love they took a chance and made something so out of the box. I would still probably try it. Their Firewood is one of my all time favorite scents. It smells like a pile of fresh cut firewood. It is so authentic! I would love to go to Salem this time of year. Happy Halloween! 🎃. Deb Mills ... Hi, Deb! Yep, this one's definitely not for everyone. I don't burn it that often, but I love pulling it off the hutch from time to time to smell it cold. It brings me to such a fun, spooky, cold, magical place. And it's a wonderful candle pairing for ghost stories, or better yet "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" 😁🕯🕸🎃. Kringle is great! Shawn from Hearth and Soul has informed me that this one has been discontinued since 2014. I was afraid of that. Thanks for the continued support. I found this candle in North Conway NH the other day! I left it behind. I wish I thought to look if you had reviewed it while I was there. If I had detected amaretto I would have gotten it but the firewood smell just turned me off right away. I live very close to Salem its a fun place to hang out but in October we avoid it because the traffic is so awful. I've been in the cemetery at night. Did you notice the house right next door to it? How creepy it must be to live there!!!
RC1477 ... Oh God, I can't believe this was only last October! Although the quality of the video is so poor, as soon as I watched it for a few seconds, it brought me right back to that moment. I had so much fun on that trip. When you have some spare time, check out the SALEM In-Depth Episode. This review was pulled from that longer video :) I mentioned this to you the other day, but yeah, I think Shawn from Hearth and Soul found the same candle in North Conway :) Rather that or, North Conway has a wide selection of hard to find candles :) So cool that you live close to Salem. My brother owned several businesses there for a handful of years, so I spent many leisurely hours roaming the streets. And yes! :) I know the house you mean. It was actually right behind the camera. Last I saw, they were renovating it... I guess someone wants to live there :)

I can't help but open every single one and smell them lol. Whoever moves into that cemetery house could throw some pretty awesome Halloween parties!

The Candle Enthusiast yes I do! It was at The Christmas Loft on RT. 16 in North Conway. I was a little disappointed that the store seemed emptier than usual but I noticed in the very back left corner of the store they had Christmas Yankees section and that 1 Halloween Kringle. Maybe if you called them they could check and hold it for you? Good luck, I hope you find it! If you go there keep an eye out for the Chestnut guy 😂

It's not for everybody, but it's a fabulous example of a scent that can immediately establish a "sense of place", mood or feeling. Unfortunately, they don't make it anymore, but it can still be acquired through outlets like eBay. I hope Kringle candle brings this scent back. Thanks!!!

Shane, candle arrived today in Perfect condition. Great packing on your part. So onto the best part, I love the scent! If smokiness can be sophisticated, this has it! Truly, like no other scent. What a perfect name for this candle. Anyone who loves real BBQ as well as Halloween should get this scent when Kringle makes it again. It should be a staple for the season - please let them hear this. The smoke scent is incredible. Thank you.
