Prunsel’s red blur for text reminds me of a blur that would be put over a mangled corpse in like a video. Also it kinda reminds me of censor bar so here is probably a dumb idea the reason is text is always censored in some kind of way is because they are saying nothing but slurs constantly.
What I think happened: Prunsel entered Deltarune the same way it entered Undertale, by replacing an object within' the game. Once Queen was corrupted, Prunsel needed time to adjust to the body, allowing Kris to go to the dumpster alley and meet Spamton, who tells him that he feels *him* nearby, and to 'Pull the plug until theres no strings attached' which could me he is asking the player to turn off the game until Prunsel is gone. He also says that 'Itchy, burny eyes (Prusel probably) turns Hot singles in your area (queen probably) into throwaway accounts' probably telling you that Prunsel has taken over Queen's body. 'Throwaway accounts such as soulless puppets at half price' could mean that Prunsel is using Queen as a puppet it be able to more substantially affect the world. He also tells you to 'call the number on your screen', maybe at this point some sort of phone number would appear. In conclusion, Prunsel is controling Queen to alter the world, using her as a puppet. Spamton warns you to turn off the game until this has subsided and warns you of Prunsel's advances. Can't wait to see whats next in the Prunsel!Rune universe!
I do like the idea of spamton warning you of a nearby threat, and telling you what it does and how to destroy it, it’s nice to protect a valuable customer from becoming a stray soulless puppet like you were.
There's something so tangibly urgent about seeing Spamton of all people dismissing your reservations for something more important. By this point we all know his character well enough to understand he'd want nothing more than to get Kris on his side with zero interference ASAP, so to see him actually conceding those plans is genuinely such an alarming and effective red flag-- and of course, Spamton being Spamton, he couldn't quite fully articulate what the new threat of Prunsel even was, even when your interests had aligned enough to seemingly be fully sincere. Absolutely brilliant writing and execution all around, probably the most unique and refreshing take on this scene so far just because you knew _exactly_ where to put the focus for all the elements both new and old to land. Congrats, uploader. I'm now unironically invested in this Prunsel AU, and gonna being keeping an eye out for any more of this you might put your mind to. =>
This would hit SO DAMN hard if we didn't know about Prunzel The Banana is replaced by a photorealistic eye of monochromatic scale and now everyone except Queen can tell something bad will happen
he probably did the same thing he did to enter undertale (in someone's dream, altering the course of the game.) Spamton is probably trying to tell us Prunsel is actually a viable threat and can corrupt the entire world
So did Prunsel possess Queen, or is he like some kind of Gaster entity that corrupts whoever interacts with him? Either way, I'm eager to see what the community will do next
this gets scarier when you think of the next chapter wich will be a place full of electronics that prunsel can posses,makes it even more when you think of the fanmade char Mike wich is a TV
[game] except either random character is replaced with prunsel or it takes the undertale fandom sans route and replaces every character with prunsel au where prunsels and sanses fight for dominance over the fandom while theres just things from uneffected fandoms in the sidelines watching the chaos happen
i like how people still are remembering prunsel. and also, i like how to actually gave some sort of backstory, which i thought would just be a quick meme. you even changed up spamton’s dialogue which was a great attention to detail
Then Kris is stuck on a mental prison, they got possessed, and is now going through their mind, seeing creepy stuff like Susie suddenly killing Ralsei and Berdly, seeing lots of hallucinations, seeing Prunsel repeatly, and the only way out of this, is the fountain
I’m now going to attempt to re-create the chapter 1 version of this. “He-he-he! You found the key! But alas there is much more urgent, urgent matters at hand! A floating eyeball you shall see, control of a king, he has taken you see. Now now a solution I acquire, but alas our game may be suspended indefinitely I require. This entity much stronger then me, me! Another reason why you should flee, flee!”
The awkward silence after Queen gets... static'd(?) felt off already, but the fact that Noelle brings attention to it is what sells it for me. Something really wrong just happened.
How i interpret this is that spamton is trying to tell us that our friends are in danger (friends list at risk of 90% off) and that prunsel turnel queen into a vessel for it (itchy burning eyes turn hot singles into throwaway accounts) and that the queen is now a puppet for it (throwaway accounts such as soulless puppets) and that the player needs to turn off the game until prunsel is gone (pull the plug until no strings attached)
I think the subtle creepyness of Prunsel is that the game *tries* to pretend that everything is fine, and the system just does its best to ignore the corrupt data
I'd love this exact thing done in game but with Berdly. Either in chapter 3 after the snowgrave route he wakes up on the desk like this or an update to chapter 2 that makes him turn into this in the cyber world if you reload the game after a snowgrave route.
prunsel entered the undertale universe, broke into the deltarune universe, he might not be going after other chapters of deltarune, i think now he might be going after fangames, and im interested to see it. (even tho im scared of that eye cuz everything that includes him in it is like a creepypasta)
