Kris Kristofferson was a man of great talent and many experiences. He found fame as a singer songwriter and actor but always insisted he was most of all a writer. He was also a Rhodes scholar, helicopter pilot and West Point teacher who went to Nashville to write songs and then became a singer and actor who starred with Barbra Steisand in “A Star is Born.” Kris Kristofferson died on Saturday, September 28 in Hawaii. He was 88.

Wow! That does him justice! That is the best interview so far this week. Plus he was so handsome, particularly at that age. Thanks, Charlie Rose.

I grew up listening to Kris Kristofferson starting at 7? years old. Daddy had classic early albums on 8-track. Love his songs still all up thru to ,"This Old Road" and "Closer to the Bone". Privileged to see him live in small concert in Atlanta. I will be listening to his music for the rest of my life. Talent. Brilliant Songwriter. Blessed.

it's a shame that Kris had to leave this planet before some copyright owners would publish their stuff... Before, they would block some good uploads with rare stuff that was nowhere else available. R. I. P. Kris, you were the best songwriter ever and your music and work will live on through your fans 😥❤️

It was 1998, the interview, seems a bit shabby to title it as 1999.

Of course, he just played football, rugby, and golden gloves boxer. Recieved a Batchelor degree, then was able to go Oxford as a Rhodes scholar. Loved poetry, able to write lyrics out of this world. Won Grammy awards, became a movie star. Was offered a job to teach at West Point and could fly helicopters. Was a veteran. Sure go ahead and say he drifted through life. I'd say he grabbed with everything he had.
