Anyone who would put him down just doesn't have nor will ever have the talent he does. He has never given up and never will. He has given us all lessons to live by. For that, he is a true artist.

"Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down" is a song written by Kris Kristofferson that appeared on Kristofferson's first album. The original version of the song was recorded by Ray Stevens in 1969 . A cover of it by Johnny Cash gained great popularity, garnering the Country Music Association Award for "Song of the Year" in 1970. Johnny Cash's version was titled "Sunday Morning Coming Down" which hit number one on the country charts

It's very touching. If you look back at Lorie Morgan she is doing all she can to hold it together. Songs like this must be hard for her after her marriage to Keith Whitley. Alcohol can be a nasty beast.

I would imagine that what you were seeing was her trying to hold it together. Lori was married to Keith Whitley and he died from drinking. The song probably has special meaning for her, and her memories of Keith.
