If you want to be a follower of Jesus Christ, and you really should, you have no need,( and must not) follow someone else, least of all someone who calls themselves God's prophet. While elevating himself as a prophet, Joseph Smith introduced a 'restored' (false) gospel, not the one Christ and his Apostles taught, and additional ( false) 'scriptures,' and he claimed to have been used of God to restored the true church on earth, While bringing in teachings and doctrines not found in the Holy Bible Smith attacked the Bible as only the word of God 'as far as it is translated correctly' ( Mormonism's 8th article of faith), while proclaiming his book of Mormon to be the most correct book on earth. God's word the Holy Bible needs no authentication from a so called 'another testimony of Jesus Christ'. Followers of Christ have no need to follow a prophet, back then, or today. Christ's followers have all they need in God's word the Holy Bible and the leading guiding and comforting of the Holy Spirit. The love, adulation and faith Mormons have in their 'prophets' is a great feature of Mormonism, But the true church of Jesus Christ is not led by men who believe they are God's prophets,(or 'apostles') but by individuals who have faith and trust in the teachings of Christ and his Apostles, and the revelation of God's word the Holy Bible, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Mormon people may feel very good about being in the Mormon church system, but fundamentaly this church stands against the supreme authority of God's word the Holy Bible, the truth and integrity of the true biblical gospel.
