Kristen is pregnant and weeks away from maternity leave. Bethany is getting off of social media for the summer. The two of us want to inspire you to set some goals and make this summer count. Wow Kristen! I'm so happy for you - that's so special! I'm just a few weeks behind you in pregnancy too which is fun. I'll be praying for you in this season of transition. Go Bethany! I basically went off social media in January. I found I kept reaching for it, and that gave me opportunity to consider what "need/want" was I seeking to meet in that moment and what would actually meet that need rather than allowing myself to get distracted from what I really need to do. All the best in this chapter ahead for both of you.

I work at a local library in my town and we have a summer reading program to prevent the “summer slide”. If kids read 20 minutes a day for 20, 40 and 60 days in a row then they get a prize book! Kristen mentioning what her kids will be doing made me think of that and it’s really smart!

Something must be in the air. Maybe we as a society are getting sick of how overwhelming and empty social media can feel. I'm also taking a step back from social media this summer. It's so important to me that I be as present as possible with my baby girl.
