Kristian Kostov represented Bulgaria at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv with the song Beautiful Mess. If you want to know more about Kristian, visit eurovision.tv
@@emilskristiansfr6768 they are both great. Portuguese can be I difficult language but in this song was good. I like both Beutiful Mess and Amar pelos Dois, they are different Edit: that song
Fun fact: Eurovision 2016:Jamala 1 st place with 534 points Eurovision 2018:Netta 1 st place with 529 points Eurovision 2019:Duncan 1st place with 498 points Eurovision2017:Kristian 2nd place with 611 points
@@pjls1972 Well this is the highest Eurovision score ever, and Kristian's score is the 2nd highest ever, but comparing these scores to the other years, there's a big difference!
He's seriously the most pure-hearted human being on earth. I just watched a Bulgarian interview with him and he couldn't stop apologizing to Bulgarians all over the world for not winning, there were literally tears in his eyes. Can you believe this precious child actually thinks he did something wrong? His performance was so professional and sincere and he deserved to win. Portugal was good, but in my opinion, Kris' performance and stage presence were multilayered and more interesting to watch and listen to. With the Portugal song you just know what to feel before it even started, it's a moving, somewhat sad song that expects you to act in the same way. And with Kris' song you feel whatever you want to feel, you can pick whatever emotion you want on the spectrum and it will suit the song. And stop saying that people only wanted him to win because he's a good-looking boy or whatever. Don't act like Salvador isn't a young, good looking artsy type of a guy too who girls were probably crying and feeling sad for while he was singing the song. And most of all stop talking about looks and physical appearances.
justwannabeone I thought the same, about the interview! He is so pure - I was like OMG, DO NOT TAKE IT SO PERSONALY KIDDO, YOU WERE PERFECT! YOU DID YOUR BEST, WE ALL KNOW IT! DO NOT CRY PLEASE! He really thinks that he did something wrong! It is huge responsibility for him at such a young age! We SO love him!
Salvador is muchmore talented and looks tousend times better. Salvador is very handsome and has beautiful eyes. And guy from Bulgaria cant sing and looks awful, like rabbit.
It's not my most favourite entry ever, but he deserved the win more than the portugal guy. Portugal was horrible. My most favourite entry ever is Sound of Silence (Australia 2016)
Now 6 years had passed, but Kristian still stands as one of the most talented singer at such young age. Can you imagine possessing such strong live vocals at 17!!
@@meisnob6415 this is just a regular pop song, I've listened to many songs like this everyday. I cried many times with Salvador's performance. This isn't anything special even though he is a good singer...
Water Lily In interview he said: "I won't participate in that kind of contests anymore!" He really thinks that he has let down all Bulgarians and fans! Which is an total absurd! But hey, this is Kris - pure, emotional and caring human being.
He also said that there where people from the esc who told him to excuse for that he didn't win and such stuff... Sad thing. He was actually so great and when I heard that, I felt really angry about that few people. He also made a video with a lot of answers to esc and other stuff on his channel. I really like that video because he seems pretty real in that video and there're so much things I totaly understand. At some points I still feel so sorry for him. And I really love him for not hiding his feelings and such stuff, that makes him very sympathic.
I always get blown away when he says 'thank you' with that little smile at the end, because it sounds so shy, cute and overwhelmed which is just the complete opposite of his strong perfect just totally beautiful vocals before that took my breath away. And then he's like heavily breathing but thanks everyone and I'm just like 'wow'. I love that. I seriously love that, because it's showing to me how strong and free people get while singing compared to their normal beings. At least to me it seems like that. Kristian is just beautiful in many ways and I really love this song. In a way he did deserve to win, although I quite liked Portugal too and how diverse it was, but Kristian was just...well his performance was so pure and stunning, to me it seemed so much like his vocals came directly from his heart and that is just so amazing. I don't care how cliché that sounds, but it definitely touched my heart.
Zvezdochka Greece I'm sorry, but he's not actually unique at all. There are thousands of songs like this. I'm not saying this is a bad song, but in pop music it's hard to make song that doesn't sound like other songs.
I still by my words, if THIS song was sung by Beiber, any of 1D, or Jonas brothers guys (doesn't even matter which one), it would've become a world wide hit and still sat at the top ten lists, it was simply too good for ESC. Thank You, Kristian for letting us to have this experience hearing for the first time.
It doesn't care how many times I hear this song, I always cry. The real winner this year. Amazing voice, amazing performance, beautiful lyrics. Congrats from Spain.
I was born the exact same day as Kristian Kostov, at this time i was a 17 year old in high school band trying to write songs in the school practice rooms while he was slaying the Eurovision stage
Sadly we don't. In 2016 Poli Genova was like 3rd, 4th, idk, Kris' score is better. She was met like a winner. Kris was second - "Couldn't it be someone manlier?". So he returned to Russia and refused talking in Bulgarian for some time. Now he competes in Singer 2019 for Bulgaria.
Winner song but in wrong year. I'm from Portugal 🇵🇹 and can't stop listening this song. Powerful performance and incredible confident. Congrats Kristian!
eu sou metade portuguesa metade bulgara i amo as duas canções, são ambas unicas a sua maneira. I love both the songs, i am half portuguese half bulgrian, and i think both songs are unic in them way..
We're in 2023 and I still thinking about how Bulgaria didn't won, no matter what real winner was Bulgaria of 2017!!! With much love from Azerbaijan!! 🇦🇿🇧🇬❤️
My family voted for this amazing song to win in the Uk and glad we tried to help as from the uk we gave Bulgaria 12 points from the people's votes 👌🏻❤️
because you don't understand Portuguese, if you do you would be delighted with the wonderful lyrics of this song, you fell in love because you understand well, the camtor sings in English and it really is a beautiful song, but if Salvador sobral sings in English he would win anyway, this song is different from the formula of eurovision songs, and it was not in vain that the winner from Holland won with a song that was also romantic.
@@mariamartin6078 it still pales compared to this boi. Talks volumes how he gets the 611 points over the last couple years finalists which just sucked.
It is simply impossible to believe that someone can have such a professional voice at such a young age, as it is at 17 years old, my mind does not believe this is possible. The feelings that Kristian provokes with this song cannot be described. What a voice, what a talent, and Kostov was also very handsome at that age 🤭
I love this boy. I really love him. He is awesome in singing and has so much fun to sing. He should have won this. Love you Kristian, greetings from germany
It took Portugal about 50 years to win in 2017. Don't give up home country. Go Bulgaria, go! We need just one masterpiece like this one and we'll catch up.
How do you judge who is gay and who is not? And who are you to judge what you want to be? And what does the talent here have to do with being a gay, lesbian or otherwise? You are very narrow, friend, poor in the soul, miserable in life ... normal to show such a behavior after you have rotted inside ... if Salvator and he is not gay? In fact, who are you, that you are going over someone's privacy?
Ezgi its been too years now and I’m still hella salty. I have been re-watching it to see if i can find any flaws or reasons he didn’t win..... he is god dam perfect 👌
I got goosebumps all over me , and that soft "thank you" in the end got me :'( ... they deserve to win so many times! since 2020 cancelled we can't see Tears getting sober on stage :(( ♥ From Indonesia
Everyone talks about Salvador‘s emotional performance... but the only performance that really touched me that evening was Kristian‘s! Sobral left me totally cold... Kristian was amazing! I‘m still sad he didn’t win. One of the best Eurovision songs ever!
@@leclercqthibaut5288 I don’t want to be disrespectful towards Sobral, but doing some little finger circles and complaining about „plastic fast food music“ and basically shitting on the contest doesn’t make him emotional nor a fair winner. The music was completely boring to me. I know, tastes are different but I feel Sobral was only getting votes because „ooh, such a classy piece of music, so sophisticated“. The only composition that has really quality is Beautiful mess.
@@lebenslachen U think this song has an amazing production? Lmao I could tell u a list of 50 songs with similiar production.. now with Amar Pelos Dois, the production is more unusual, and more unique..
