Kristina will represent Slovakia with the song Horehronie at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo (Norway), taking place on the 25th, 27th and 29th of May. Powered by www.eurovision.tv
Thanks :) I am Slovak and I can say that really the Slovak language is very nice. It is not so easy to learn it absolutely correctly but in general, it is a common situation with every foreign language.
This song is a proof that non qualifiers are better than the entries to the final. This sounds fresh even in 2020, ten years after. This is by far the best possible combo of all the things music should have. Traditional vibes, modern beat, instrumental, excellent staging, amazing voice, this may be the only song that there is literally no mistake
Mistake... how about an overcomplicated choreography for the performance? Kristína was way too nervous and just little bit terrified and the fact that she has to done all of this moves didn't help at all.
@@teo_heel I believe this song needed that much. It is a filling song anyways as it "heals every wound" of a music track. The dance is amazing. The fact that Kristina was anxious is right.
Fun fact: it’s most watched song on Eurovision channel that didn’t qualified for the grand final BUT IT SHOULD!!! This song is pure gold, I mean, best song from Slovakia ofc, but it should end at least in top 15, in my opinion it’s much better than winner.
@@pavlajurajdova640 what? I'm telling the truth. Kristína has told about being way too nervous while performing in Oslo quite enough since ESC 2010, so it's not a secret. She even even admitted that she was terrified of the audience and it added to nervousness.
@@teo_heel u know it was 13yrs ago so we don't have to talk about it u posted this 9 months ago think before u say that plus I bet she can sing better then u can ok
@@pavlajurajdova640 There's no denying that Kristína can sing better than me. I'm just spreading the truth. She was way too inexperienced back then and it showed.
LYRICS: When the Sun bends over Horehronie (a region in cntrl Slovakia) I want to sing, to die and to live. When the Sun bends over Horehronie I desire to be closer to heaven. I´m laying in the grass dreaming I don´t know what about myself In this breeze which rocks me When the Sun is at it´s lowest. CH 1: The most beautiful trees are in Horehronie This quiet brotherhood calls to come Here I return every time something saddens me The trees are saying "let it off your shoulders" I´m laying in the grass dreaming I don´t know what about myself In this breeze which rocks me When the Sun is at it´s lowest. When the Sun bends over Horehronie Somewhere in the distance our bell rings When it hurts me, I let it hurt then Once it will get lost in the black mountain I´m laying in the grass dreaming The eyes are shedding tears quietly In this breeze which rocks me When the Sun is at it´s lowest. (drums) I´m laying in the grass dreaming The eyes are shedding tears quietly In this breeze which rocks me When the Sun is at it´s lowest. The most beautiful trees are in Horehronie.
Som japonsky. Domnievam sa, že táto pieseň je úžasná
I remember watching her on television when I was a little girl and thinking she was a princess💚 I still listen to this song, it’s lovely but so underrated
So sad that it didnt win im from slovakia and i love that songs and that singer too i was so happy that she sang in slovakian im so proud of this song as a slovakian i hope that our country will some back i miss it so much
I was looking for the most watched video in the ESC official Channel... and this is the most watched not qualifing song's video! A great song, i'm still angry because it wasn't in finals... Slovakia come back!
+Gustavo Hernandez Fuentes Yep. Russia, Poland, Mexico, USA, Netherlands... so many countries know about Kristína (yep, she's not Krístina, but Kristína).
I remember this one was the most hyped song back in 2010 ESC, and it didn't pass to the final. I was really shocked, she deserved more. Kisses from Serbia :)
Oh god just hearing the start gave me goosebumps , as someone from Slovakia it's a beautifull song singing about the beauties of this hill/mountain called Horehronie , it's rlly peacfull and dreamy😌
shanaya girl When the sun goes down in HorehronieI want to sing, die and live When the sun goes down in Horehronie I wish I could get closer to the skyI'm lying on the grass and dreaming Of what, I don't even know In the breeze that gently sways me When the sun is at its lowest pointThe most beautiful trees are in Horehronie A silent brotherhood is telling that I come back here when I feel sad The trees are saying: shake it offI'm lying on the grass and dreaming Of what, I don't even know In the breeze that gently sways me When the sun is at its lowest pointAh... hallelujah...When the sun goes down in Horehronie Out there somewhere far away our bell is ringing When it hurts, let it hurt One day it will vanish in the black mountainI'm lying on the grass and dreaming My eyes are crying softly In the breeze that gently sways me When the sun is at its lowest pointAh... ah... ah... ah...I'm lying on the grass and dreaming My eyes are crying softly In the breeze that gently sways me When the sun is at its lowest pointThe most beautiful trees are in Horehronie Taken from lyricstranslate.com/en/horehronie-horehronie.html#ixzz3azvFbHbd
Slovakia has no money to participate, and even if we somehow won it would be very hard to actually host the contest in Bratislava due to money reasons. I don't think there's actually a venue in Slovakia that would be good for hosting.
@@jarlesleglerg9064 C'moon, you have good venues in Bratislava and Košice. You hosted Ice Hockey championships there well. And BTW, your sisters in Czechia did really good this year, 10th place.
@@JiajunYuPiano If I have to be honest, Dunajská Streda stadium might just be best. It's massive, but if I'm not mistaken, eurovision has to take place in the capital of the winner country. Maybe Bratislava has something, but I think it will be a pain in the ass to set up eurovision even in Slovakia's biggest stadiums.
+rjblueyes She singing about a beautiful region in Central Slovakia, where flows a river called Hron. But Kristina is from Eastern Slovakia, that's a funny moment.
Miriama Duchonova True. But actually it's a little bit strange when you sing about a region that you never saw. It's like when you're from Kaliningrad, Russia and you sing a song about Vladivostok, Russia.
Slovakia have artists, who is sing at Slovak language. Other countries doesn’t sing at their native language. Eurovision is competition where artist will to show uniqueness of the state. So, Slovakia show uniqueness their country.😊
It's the 5th of august 2020. I left to work this morning having this song in my head. Tonight, while showering, I was still humming this song in my mind. Here I am! Greetings from Romania!
Slovakia 2010 : Dressed as plants Europeans : Who would really fall for that? Sweden 2012: Singer dressed as plants Europeans : EUPHORIAAAAAAAA 1st place Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷 🇸🇰
And that song is one of the best in modern slovak music history. Kristína is one of the best singers in slovak music history and that song is the reason why she became one.
Krásna piesen, skvelé prevedenie tanečníkov. Má zmysel, formu, jasne hovorí o prepojení slovenského národa s rodnou hrudou. Som rada, že nás reprezentovala práve táto pieseň.
Today I discovered that I will represent Slovakia at a simulation for the European Parliament. I am here just for this, wish Eurovision 2021 will have more entries like this. A great from Italy!
It is insane as I loved this song in 2010 and had no clue why on earth it did not qualify (as her 2nd rehearsal was amazing!) and I still remember it as a cool song I really liked back in the day BUT I seriously thought it was just me.... comming back here after 14 years and seeing it as one of THE MOST POPULAR clips on Eurovision Channel I am speachless - I wasn't tripping! This song WAS good! Kristina wherever you are - you are awesome. Greetings!
The most underrated song of all history of Eurovision Song Contest, Love from Greece !!! It’s my winner/runner up along with Romania for 2010 ! Slovakia, return in 2020 please !

This is so beautiful song in a beautiful language! She's my winner of ESC 2010! Please, Slovakia, come back! Greetings from your neighbours, Poland!
CZE: Za mě to podcenila celá Evropa. ENG: In my opinion whole Europe underrated this. As a fan of Eurovision I just do not agree that this didn't get to the final. Anyways greeting from Czechia brothers! Even after 12 years it's still amazing!
Really great song! Greetings from Hungary! I know we are natural enemies... Despite it, I respect your rights and your nation but I like listening to Kristina's lovely voice! God bless her!
