When they 1st started together, they became very close friends...brother's!! You don't need to have the same blood type to be family. I've seen every episode, interviews, etc. That my dear youtube subscribers is real. God bless Mr. Kristoff for being who he was. Genuine, handsome, great husband, father, actor, friend and most of all. HEART for others. Crying as I'm writing this. Sadly Mr. KRISTOFF YOU WILL BE VERY MISSED IN THIS WORLD!! Your in heaven now with your loved ones and hopefully someday, I will be able to meet you in heaven!!
It was Kristoff St. John who got Shemar Moore the role of Malcolm. When they had applicants waiting to try out for the role of Neil's brother Malcolm, the moment Kristoff saw Shemar, Kristoff knew Shemar was their man. Shemar wasn't sure he could play the part but he found out that Kristoff was right. Kristoff got Shemar's career really going.
The day the news of Kristoff St John's passing hit the broadcast news, I remember seeing a clip of Shemar Moore being asked by a photographer "How you doing, man ?" Shemar just said " I lost my brother today." That said everything, no more needed.
Kristoff St. John was my favourite actor from the Young and the Restless when I heard that he died a part of me just disappeared. Just watching the Young and the Restless wasn’t the same as it used to be.
How do you say goodbye to a character and the real man when they were both interactional. All this time later I miss him. He made the Winters family what it was. Imagine how much has been lost without him. Still loving you Kristoff. You were one of a kind.
I was shocked when I heard this news; I didn't cry ... I was just surprised at this because his son passed away so things like that can take a lot out of a man.
Even though, Shemar Moore(Malcolm) works in primetime tv now, it's good that he would come back for a special appearance on Y&R for this. He was on Y&R for a long time. In fact, he owes that to Kristoff St. John(Neil) because it Kristoff who got him on Y&R which really got his acting career going. When they were choosing someone to play Neil's brother Malcolm, when Kristoff first saw Shemar he said that Shemar would be the perfect choice.
I watched the whole week and there was not a dry in the place. The emotions they were showing we're not acting. They were heart felt and raw. Your work family are your family too. You see and work with them everyday. Kristoff and Shemar may not be brothers by blood, by they are brothers in every since of the word.
It's hard to loose someone you love , and close to. This gad to be soooo hard for shemar, especially with them being close freinds it's a very sad thing to watch ❤❤
This video really touches my heart. My favourite soap opera. I watch it and follow it as much as I can. They are really good actors and actresses. I don,t think I will be able to ever say Good Bye to this soap opera. To me they are almost like family even though they are not.
@@andreagolfo6898 well, if Eric Braden leaves the show, CBS might just as well pull the plug on the show because it won't be the same without Victor Newman
I had to be AWKWARDLY TROUBLESOME TO FUSE FICTION AND REAL LIFE TO PULL THIS OFF. GREAT SEND OFF. SHEMAR has done a FANTASTIC JOB GOING FROM just a regular good looking guy.....TO A INTERNATIONAL SUPERSTAR. EVEN KRISTOPH who was, who was fortunate to be a child star, to becoming the MOST ICONIC BLACK SOAP OPERA STAR EVER.
I was so heartbroken when kristoph passed and then when they said shamar was going to be making a special appearance for "Neil's" funeral. I said "Oh god. I better go to the store and stock up on my Kleenex because this is gonna TAKE.... ME.... OUT!!!!!!!" And Baby Boy DID NOT disappoint. That wasnt a colleague they lost.... That was STRAIGHT FAMILY!!!!!!!!!! and even after all this time..... I still cant believe IT!!!!!!!!!
Agreed 110%...this was ALL real; there is absolutely NO WAY to fake something like this...they were true family! I remember when I first heard the news - I swear my first thought was “Oh no...Shemar...” Sure enough, he had that sad video on his Twitter page.
Hey did anybody know that Kristoff personally wanted Shemar Moore to be his brother on Y&R. The producers asked him who he wanted to play his brother and Kristoff personally chose Shemar to play Malcolm.
Neil,I love you,you brought alot of hope into peoples lives, alot of strength,peace..and if they were down..u picked them up wiped there tears and told them that everything would be ok..you will dearly be missed..thank you for bringing lots of love, peace, happiness, fun, into the world..GOD BLESS YOU..MAY YOU R.I.P. AGAIN,THANK YOU,YOU GOT YOUR WINGS,TRULY A GREAT HONOR TO WATCH YOU OVER THE YEARS ON YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS..TRULY A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH..THANK YOU
I don’t even think they had lines for this episode. This was uncensored unscripted raw emotion and when Malcolm calls him his brother he doesn’t mean Malcolm and Neil it’s Shemar and Kristoff. Rip Neil gone too soon. 3 decades of Neil Winters.
It had to be very hard for him to do this scene, the closeness and friendship for so long, it's really sad and hard for him to keep it together but he did a great job for his brother ♥️♥️
The Man who played The Minister played Will Palmer in Roots: The Next Generations who was Alex Haley's Maternal Grandfather. Kristoff worked with him as he played Young Alex Haley who first heard the Family Stories most notably about the Ole African who went into the Forest to get Wood to make a Drum, and the Slave Catchers got him and he got sold at Anapolis and it took Four Generations and 100 Years to be free.
Kristifoff untimely death was indeed a tragedy! My deepest condolences to his family, and friends. Also, Shemar has my deepest condolences as well! I wish I had been there for Shemar.
Shemar stated in an interview that he had this speech drawn up into a picture type thing ( my lame description) and it's hanging on a wall in his home because it was everything he had in his heart.
Kristoff' s first wife was interviewed for People, she mentioned he struggled with alcoholism and bipolar disorder. I had no idea. I recall when Neil struggled with booze, but never knew about his issues in real life. Naturally, I knew he was not perfect.
You know this is really weird seeing Actors eulogize a person they knew in a TV scene -- it's like they aren't really telling the truth or they are not really acting, but it's a perfect mind-trip for an actor to put themselves in that type of realm where a person you knew and loved died but you are pretending to do the eulogy... amazing craft of deception, truth, and authenticity of the hypocrite.... Just Amazing Charlotte!
The Drucilla character was not brought back, as she is to remain presumed dead. However, Victoria Rowell did return as herself for a tribute show dedicated to him that week.
@@daveyhouston You have to be strong, it's very hard but your child would want you to live. Our loved ones when they pass away go to heaven and when it's our time we will be with them again. Until that time comes we need to be strong, remember the good times and be happy for the time we had with them. Davey, pls live every moment because that is what your child would want for you!!
No way was Christel’s “I’m sorry I can’t” acted. That was too good. My guess is she had a lot of lines memorized but just couldn’t do it at that point.
@@marcelparker6755 Thanks MARCEL. IT WAS FITTING FOR HIM TO BE CHOSEN FOR THE ROLE. BUT KRISTOPHS DEATH WAS AN ASS WHUPPIN WE ALL TOOK PERSONALLY AND ON MY BIRTHDAY AT THAT. I BET THEY WERE GOOD FRIENDS.😀
@@leomartin5965 Oh yeah... he touched so many lives personally. Everyone who knew him loved him. It still doesn't feel real to me that he's gone either.
@@marcelparker6755 Pardon the pun though when i thought about it. But he was alive at this time last year. I lost a son myself, it does wear on a person. But looking at highlights showed that he had a JOYFUL SOUL. AND LIKE SHEMAR SAID IN SO MANY WORDS LETS CELEBRATE HIS LIFE. BECAUSE THERE WOULD BE NO DERRICK MORGAN. IF IT WASNT FOR KRISTOPH. NOW DERRICK MORGAN DONE MORPHED INTO S.W.A.T. AND THE COUNTLESS OTHER PROJECTS SHEMAR HAS DONE. BE COOL MY FRIEND.
@@leomartin5965 I'm just seeing this now, and very well said. Also, I'm very sorry for your loss. I can't imagine what it's like to lose a child. Healing always takes time, but I'm sure that your son loved you very much before he left this Earth... and love is everything.
