Kriyat Shema Al HaMitah-"The Bedtime Shema" 

Shalom . I love Kriyat Shema Al HaMitah every night . I feel peaceful and in the morning every day I feel I’m blessed Baruch HaShem.

L'Shana Tovah! I have been listening and praying along with the narrator before bed every night. I found this around the time my mother passed away. Last Chanukah, the first night going into the first day of Chanukah, she passed. I can't believe such a beautiful woman is gone. She was a lovely mother and a friend to all who knew her. She was my best friend. This prayer helps me sleep at night. I used to have a beautiful small white travel siddur that was hers and would use that. It breaks my heart that it was lost in my last move. Her Hebrew name was Shoshana Esther Raisal bas Tovah Gittel. Please keep her in your prayers for her neshama. All of you who made comments, G-d bless you and your families for a happy, sweet, joyous, healthy, stress free, but most of all, peaceful new year. May you all be inscribed in the Book of Life for this year! Moshiach Now!❤🦋🔯🌈🌹😇

What is a sense of recuting the written prayers that do not originate from heart and mind of the individual? If I use my own words and feelings, is that prayer less valid than that taken from Sidur?
