All these years and I’m still listening to this 👌🏻🔉Kromestar played at a small club in my town in 2008, of all the DJs/producers I’ve seen, I’ve never been so hyped to see someone drop their own tune as this 😆🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 shit went off, good night 🤣
@@basswitch525this sounds nothing like that cringey dubstep coming out these days, as usual UK set levels then Americans try and replicate but destroy it. Went from hard bass and dirty riddims to next screeching and cringey transformers sounds. US should be banned unless they making this old school sound of dubstep, furthermore dubstep comes from Dub which is originally a Jamaican thing, Americans have no clue about Jamaicans or there culture unlike UK people
This was the first dubstep song I ever heard back in like 2007/8... somewhere around there. Never looked back. The deep, dark and minimal is where it's at. Also, there's plenty of great producers still out there. Youngsta's weekly show on Rinse is amazing - as is N-Type's
that's not it, either. J:kenzo and the artikal crew, Sentry records as you mentioned, the boys Truth and the DDD family. Can't forget Joe Nice and the Gourmet Beats family
Music never dies out. It becomes like a document of the time. In a few years time people will look back at this as the real shit and nobody will remember skrillnuts.
We need repress from whole DEEPMEDI catalogue. Need fresh copies for future dj sets and at retirement can blast at home with red eyes. Cultural archives demands this.
+Mick Farrazijn It's a Manchester / Antwerp classic and here is the story behind it. Kromestar was booked in at Manchester and didn't think to bring it (the track/vinyl) with him, and everyone basically told him he was fucked because it was a LOVED tune in Manchester and if he didn't drop it shit would not go down well despite it being such an old tune. Hilariously, someone who went to the gig just happened to have the vinyl on them in their backpack, and so he borrowed it and dropped it and IT FUCKING WENT OFF. Since then it's become a staple tune that HAS to be dropped in Manchester (especially Antwerp) due to that night. Source - my mate is the sound engineer at Antwerp Mansion.
Timeless. It's been a regularish play since I first heard it, must have been about 16/17. I'm 32 in a matter of days and this tune still blows my lips off. What a beaut 💜💜💜
I joined the military in '07 and for the first year or so, running with headphones was a no-no. This was on repeat in my head for 90% of those miles. 140bpm is a solid jog!
Is Kromestar an alias of Ironsoul? I ask because I've listened to tons of grime instrumentals, and I was just thinking that it rings a bell, that it's the same producer?! Either way, they're both dope!
