Hands down... Krissh has one of the best superhero origin story... It's really sad that they didn't invest much in this franchise. Only 3 movies so far. This has the potential of kick starting a whole new universe for Indian superheroes.

Hrithik's acting as Rohit was phenomenon. Rohit reunion w/ his son Krishhh & mom was so sad teared me up. 😭

The point where Steph said, "Priya do something! God!!" Had me in stitches!😂😂

Rekha ji is such an amazing actress. She kills it in whatever screen time she has. Even in the end credits, they credit her before Hrithik and Priyanka.

Fun Fact- The original "Koi Mil gaya" movie was actually not planned to ve a franchise. It was just a stand alone movie. But it was loved by people do much that the makers thought it to make the story longer and hence was Krrish made and then Krrish 3( Technically Krrish 2)!

Answers to the raised questions: 1- Those guys in the island weren't waiting for Krishh, instead they are the guarding from all intruders. 2- Dr. Arya had enough contacts to get Priya and the bodyguard by his men. Plus his men doesn't have to swim or need to fight with anyone like Krishh has to do.

Just wanted to say... Steph's take away of certain scenes are just so enlightening especially her point as to why Hrithik couldn't get the fish in Malaysia. It was amazing.👍

I'm kinda split about whether you should watch the 3rd one or not. The 3rd one is still entertaining, but it is *extremely* derivative of hollywood movies and especially Marvel X-men characters. Andrew will probably spend the whole movie calling out the "references" from other works. Remember guys, Krrish movies are kids movies. They're not meant to be taken too seriously which is why there's a lot of cheesy moments and dialogues, camera angles.

This is what is called the Real Franchise. This was cinema back then and still is. We all can she Hrithik Roshan's potential as an Actor and Rakesh Roshan's potential as a producer. We are missing these duo and hope the new movie under this franchise comes soon.

What makes krrish is one of the best origin stories that there was no comic inspiration for the character like most superhero characters .

In the whole krrish franchise. The character Rohit suffered the most. First he was challenged for 20 years. Bullied by people of his age, teachers, no love, no father, working mother, everyone saw him like he had no future. Then when he got powers, he needed to fight the system to get jadoo back. Then he was used by Dr arya. Kept 20 years in coma prison. Wife died. Couldn't live his life, stayed away from his family, from his son. Couldn't watch him grow. Then in third one his mother died, and when he was about to get to experience childhood of his grandson, he watched his son almost dying and had to sacrifice himself and couldn't live then too to watch his grandson.

I never cried watching Rohit and his mother getting reunited but this time i did get teary eyes though

I remember buying hell lot of Krrish masks and showing off in school 😂 This movie will always remain a part of my heart.

Krissh did make my childhood awesome. His character was a original superhero. He was relatable and he didn't have any unrealistic powers like lazer eyes etc but he was the pinnacle of human abilities and he wasn't a copy of any one particular western superhero.

Andrew and Steph, please react to Hrithik's Agneepath. It's a powerhouse of solid actors also staring Priyanka, Sanjay dutt and Rishi kapoor in menacing roles. It's a superb revenge driven action and drama film. Anyone who agrees, please like this so they can notice.

Now the third part is totally a superhero movie ...... it was a bit lost than these movies but the vfx at that time were one of the finest for that time in bollywood as nobody showed that much vfx in indian movies so you will love it but again hrithik in the 3rd part that is krishh 3 has done so much prep on his body ( he was the most ripped actor for the 3rd part as he wanted to show superhero in his finest forms so be prepared to be mesmerised ) ...... love hrithik forever ❤ please watch it soon waiting eagerly ...... great reaction andrew and specially steph for your true feelings to come out ❤

This movie was the first Indian Superhero movie when we had no clue about other Hollywood movies. This was such a hit that almost all of the children back then used to buy and collect those mask when buying a particular snack.

Waiting for Krrish 3 (if you don't know, the reason behind this name is because it is the third movie of the franchise)

Please do continue with KRRISH 3 , the villains might be inspired from some movies but the story and emotions are pretty good , you will like it too... and the great thing about this franchise is that the story continues after every movie and so does the emotions with every character.

This franchise is lit. It might be inspired by foreign cinema but Krish is our own Superhero hence, the story was designed in an Indian way. I'd recommend you guys to watch the next part. You'll get to see Krishna and his father performing in a same frame.

As a kid, I didn't see this movie in such a detail. I only enjoyed the action sequences but watching it now, I realise what a good movie it is. For me, apart from Spiderman, Krrish is the greatest superhero movie I've ever seen. The first half is enough to fool someone that this is not a superhero movie and the origin of Krrish as a superhero is also unique. The circumstances which force him to don that mask is what makes this movie different from other superhero movies. The acting!!!! Hrithik did such great acting(in fact everybody did good in this movie). Hrithik playing the older Rohit made me cry. The music and Krrish's theme is so good. It's taken from the Hindu God Krishna's flute so the BGM has a divine feel to it. I really want you to watch Krrish 3 now. Sure, the characters are copied from X-Men but the action is really really good. Especially the climax fight scene between Krrish and Kaal(it has one of the best visual effects of Indian Cinema). The rewatch value of Krrish is absolutely insane. I can watch it anywhere, at any given point of time and still enjoy this movie. People enjoy this movie still now even after 10 years. Krrish will never get old ❤

The first and only successful Indian superhero franchise to exist. Indian Cinema have attempted multiple times at the superhero genre in the past but they all failed. This was the first film to give a new depth to the genre while also serving as a perfect sequel to KMG. Next up, you have to react to Krrish 3.

The Third installment in this Franchise is interesting. It definitely felt like they multiplied the scale and the stakes by a 100. And it has much more action sequences and crazy situations happening. The story fails to provide that beautiful grounded feeling that I felt in Koi Mil Gaya or in Krrish during the first act where he's living in the woods. It's just entirely super hero stuff and super hero stakes start to finish. And yes there's a lot of Hollywood movie references like X-men. It's 100% my least favourite of the 3 installments but I didn't hate watching it for sure.

Nowadays we try to find logic in every aspect but then this was a movie even if we watch 100 times we wouldn't get bored at all and still hits the same ❤

Love the way you both review Indian movies for the way they should be. These commercial movies are no where near cinematic masterclass but they are funn, enjoyable and emotional & both of you exactly look at them that way and not over criticize every aspect of it.

Krrish is Bollywood’s First Superhero Movie I really love Krrish Bollywood’s First Ever Super-Hero and the Biggest Superhero in Bollywood Hrithik’s Performance, His Action, His Dance Skills are so amazing.

A fun fact -: During the chase scene when Krrish jumps from the London Tower thing , Thats a real jump scene without Cgi and Without any cables.

VFX looks old because it was released in 2006 so it is obvious. Indian cinema has decent VFX now but still not comparable to Marval and DC. Back then it was actually fun to watch Krish in 2006 because it was so good as compared to what we had then.. ❤

If you want to watch more of Rekha, do watch Umrao Jaan and Khoobsurat (the ones from the 80s; both have been remade several times). She's a masterful actor with amazing range. Naseeruddin Shah, who played Dr Arya, was im Umrao Jaan too. There's also Ijazat (1988) which stars Rekha and Naseer in the lead roles. These three are from wildly different genres but I promise you, each of them is a wonderful experience in the movies ❤

Krrish franchise is an absolutely amazing super-hero franchise and an science fiction story with all of the beautiful elements in an Indian Film. They are trying to make the Krrish’s Franchise Action and VFX at par with Hollywood Movies. That’s very nice. They will be making the fourth installment soon. It was supposed to release in 2020 Christmas because because of the Corona Virus Pandemic, it got postponed. Now The movie will go on floors either at the middle or the end of 2024. The team says that the script is magical.

The best thing about a 90s kid who grew up with Harry Potter, Krrish Marvel's character goodies isn't it fantastic to live on a era where all those pencils, pen, rubber, copies and stickers are with those characters are available while the franchise is coming one after another waiting for the next one film to come while expecting your own story ending plot twists. 😅 New generation will never understand the emotion behind grew up in this era while watching Sharukh's, Akshay's Aiswarya's and of course Hrithik's young performances and listening 😢 to cassate music of KK, abhijeet, Udit narayan, A.R rehman what a entertaining journey of 1992s to 2010 a wonderful childhood I have. I have many stories how we collect Harry Potter and Marvels films CDs 😅 really its hard to find a HD print back then but thanks to Bollywood we had other good films which we can watched on theatre.

This movie made it a mainstream thing in India to have superhero films that were not directly taken from the Western Giants. Also, Naseeruddin Shah is one of the few actors who could play the hero roles as well as the anti-hero roles with finesse. He has an extremely wide level of acting range. Also, in my opinion, this is one of the few superhero movies where the "Superhero" element is not the central plot point of the movie. The central plot point is self-discovery by Krishna in the city, along with him taking revenge for his father's condition. The "superhero" element was just a vessel to make revenge possible and not the core aspect of this movie. Fun Fact: This movie was shot under the umbrella of the Singapore Tourism Board's "Film-in-Singapore subsidy scheme", to promote Singapore as a tourism hub. The govt of Singapore and the local police extended their cooperation by blocking off locations for the shoot, providing protection to the equipment, and helping with the setup of industrial-scale shooting equipment like the 250-foot industrial cranes that were used for the action shots. It helped Singapore gain additional tourism simply by the popularity of the film locations. Fun Fact #2: Hrithik Roshan actually suffered some mishaps and injuries during the shoot. Once in a wire-work stunt, his cable broke, causing him to fall down 50 feet into a shop's canopy (miraculously escaping unscathed). He also got some burns during the fire sequence, when he ran through the flames in the circus scenes. No matter what we think, Hrithik Roshan is indeed a fine actor, who plays both the Anguish of Rohit and the anguish of Krishna in two separate characterizations. And we trolled such a fine artist mercilessly because some actress alleged a romantic connection and breakup.

seeing you both cry made me cry too (ofc the scene itself is emotional) and i agree on your points about priyanka's character in this movie no wonder I used to feel so unsettled about the whole love story part of theirs at the start (I didn't know what a red flag was I was a kid so I kept thinking why I was feeling that way about a main character)
