+higglyjuff If you aren't even sure whether you exist or not, maybe contemplating a god existing or not is just beyond your grasp and debating it well outside your skill level. Can you form a coherent argument which shows how a great omnipotent being might even be possible? What example do you have for minds which work outside of bodies, exist forever, knowing everything, possessing magical powers? Do you have any example of where such a thing has been shown to be possible? A book claiming these things to be possible is not evidence of them actually existing. The bible, and all the other religious books have more in common with Harry Potter than reality. None of their stories are backed up by history, science, or reality. It seems quite safe to say god ideas are not only stupid, not just highly unlikely, flat out impossible and out of line with what is possible in reality.If you aren't sure reality is real, it's probably because religion has damaged the rational portion of your brain. It is a well documented side effect of the opiate of the masses.

jim bob Dude, think about it. Do you have any real evidence as to whether you are a living being right now? Do you have any evidence that time and space exists? I'm not saying that religions are right, but I'm saying they aren't wrong either. It's called being open minded and accepting that you don't know anything. My belief is that if things can exist in this plane of reality, how can you deny the possibility of other planes of existence. I'm talking about something beyond this universe that we can't even comprehend. Something that no one can comprehend, as it does not exist on our material plane. Science is simply an explanation for everything within this reality, and science will never be able to comprehend or tell us everything there is to know. I choose to be open to possibility, and to deny a singular belief is to deny all beliefs altogether. If god does not exist, then neither do we. You see, no one can know that we exist. We can see, we can hear, we can smell, but we do not have the ability to be able to tell what is reality and what is false just because of this. We simply believe we are real, because our minds make sense of this. We don't even know that our consciousness is real either. Science gives us reasoning, but it doesn't give us proof.

By your logic the idea of witchcraft should not be dismissed, and if people were still burning witches we could never know that it was wrong and expect them to stop it. By your logic the idea that volcano's are living spirits which need virgins when they get angry is just as valid as the idea they shake due to tectonic plate movement. Please Never have children, or if you must, have someone else teach them how to think for themselves, and please stress the importance of critical thinking skills to them so they don't end up as gullible mindless and clueless as you..
