I've only got 1300 miles on mine I ride the east side so a lot of ruff riding and the krx has pulled rzr / canams out of the woods because of break downs I'm proud to say the krx keeps on but it won't win no races but over all I would not change my decision on my purchase one issue is the one wY baring has pop out couple of time that's it hope this helps with ya decision
Kawasaki built this machine to be durable and avoided a lot of problems they more extreme SXS with turbos have simply by not adding extra power. It’s plush, heavy duty and durable, and that’s coming from a repeat RZR Pro and now X3 RR driver. If I only trail rode, I’d definitely get it.
1,850+ miles on my October 2019 built 2020 KRX. Everything you said is spot on with my experience with the machine. Great video. KRX IS A BEAST!!!!! 💚🤘💚
@@DerangedOffRoad I got mine in spring of 2020. Our machines are very similar. I'm running everything you have but the springs & light accessories. I'm still running my stock shocks & springs with 14" clearance front & 13.5" rear. I've only got a few hundred miles on my RCOR weights & belt but smooth as butter so far?? I have a different tune but probably very similar. The KRX is not always slow. With the mods I've done 0-60 mph Dragy is 8.55 seconds on mine. A stock KRX is in the 11.5 to 12.5 second range. So it can be pepped up just can't go over 71mph top speed.
great video as always, thanks for the update and info. i have a 2021 krx and i love it. i think we are very similar in our outlook and the way we take care of our machines. congrats on your success and good luck on continuing to grow.
By far the best channel for anything KRX. You guys have done a great job. Surprised to hear that you hadn't done the a-arm upgrade yet for the knuckle issue. Other than those and some that had the axle problems, it almost seems like our earlier model KRX's are having fewer issues than the newer models. Maybe just the difference in how people ride and maintain them.... Our maintenance (and riding style) sounds almost identical and I too have had no issues at all. Got the new a-arms, but other than that, nothing.
You hit the nail on the head with complaints on fb. 10 people are louder than thousands with no issues. When i had my krx it had the updated knuckles they are very stout. Never had an issue with mine in the 800 miles i put on it. The krx is like a tank, very well built and best suspension in the segment by far out of the box . Also as i proved in my videos and you as well it also can dune with the best of them with stock tires for that matter.
I have a 2021 and would agree with everything you said. I have had one issue with the tranny coming out of gear on a downhill grade when in high gear. This is a known issue but I was able to fix it by adjusting the shift cable. Lots of people have had this issue. I havent had an issue since. Super comfy ride vs the X3 Turbo Base I rented for a few days and put 500 miles on. I would like a bit more power but there is no perfect machine at least for the $18K I paid. The VFJ tune and a clutch make a big difference. Thanks for all the info.
@@Upliftyourbrothers It was a special when they first came out they were $17 or $17.5 cant remember. But tax, yada yada it was like $19K. Purcellville VA Motomember
I have thought about trading it in for an X3 still, just like the higher seating position and less confined feel in the cockpit of the wider (KRX) machine. Also all the added storage. Wish I could have both LOL
Spot on Garrett, I have a 2020 I bought new in Jul 2020, I love it. I've done multiple mods to include RCOR's clutch kit. Zero problems. My dealer did the Knuckle & A-arm replacement courtesy of Kawi. And as I had read in some forums, I checked my front-end bolts after the replacement as soon as I got it home, sure enough, one of the A-arm bolts was finger loose. Never trust your suspension or front-end to someone else on ANY vehicle, or at least go behind and inspect for torque. Had a similar problem many years ago on a car I had. Front-end alignment was done days before a trip and just for the heck of it, I went under and peeked after driving from TX to OH, Tie-rod sleeves were finger loose and you could easily spin the sleeves by hand, learned my lesson.
@@DerangedOffRoad I've used pretty much every widely available brand over the years in my race quads. Had very favorable results with just conventional belray 20w50 in my raptors and yfz450r. Change it when it starts to turn color and accept the fact that toys just cost money and require attention. My new Rmax2 will be using mystik 10w40 atv oil full synthetic that's available locally at the farm store at a reasonable price. Maintenance is always cheaper than replacing busted parts
Buy a gallon of WD -40 (non aerosol) and pump bottles and douse all your moving parts.. Heim joints, a- arm bushings, everything that articulates.. It’ll go away.. I do that with mine after washing it to displace the water.. (Windrock mud buildup) You probably have dust buildup.. And if you’re thinking WD-40 will just attract more dust.. We’ll you’re correct.. But more WD -40 will make it go away.. Just part of my maintenance routine since the 70’s.. Yes.. Old as dirt itself!! BTW.. I presently own 2 KRX’s and spent 20+ years in the Powersports business.. For people that don’t know, Kawasaki heavy industries also builds trains.. That being said, part of the reason the KRX is so heavy, is because it was built to outlast a Polaris for a very long time.. That’s how Kawasaki rolls..
2500 miles isn't a lot of miles for one of these side X sides. I have some friends who have 13,000 miles with no issues. I know one guy that has a 2017 Defender that has 23,000 on it!
