KS Tuned Balance Shaft Eliminator Kit Install 

6 years later, still can't hear over the music

I have done this my own way few years ago. You remove balance shafts because your do not need them.They only kill very tiny vibrations on idle speed. Plus you gain 3whp and when you do this proper oil passage blocks you make sure you cure the most common reason for an H- and F-series engine to fail - the oil pressure drops when balance shaft bearings got worn with mileage and you start having oil starvation, which you know what it means. I also did the H23 manual tensioner, now I see the guys from KS sell a great little one piece unit to go that way - I am happy to see it even that I sold my Lude now. Great products,KS!!!

I can't wait to order this entire kit and the manual tensioner from you guys, I'm actually ordering another H from HMO and wanting these beautiful components on that motor. My current H swap just has the H23 manual tensioner...thank you for your passion of Honda and their big blocks :-)

We recommend completing the balance shaft delete kit. The gain in oil pressure alone is worth it.

If you don't have cutting oil, WD-40 works great for cutting aluminum.

Great video hey quick question, Honda obviously engineered the balance shaft in the engine for a reason. Won't the motor Vibrate at idle without it?

Question ?? Does KS make a counter balance eliminator kit for the GM 3.5 Liter inline 5 cylinder engine. I'm getting ready to rebuild this engine and was wondering since this assembly is at the rear of the motor which means if there's an issue the transmission will have to be removed to correct the problem ???

The video explains the minor difference between the engines. The installation is the same for all engines, only two parts change in shape/size but they install in the identical locations on all engines.

true to what mikhail said and how would you go about taking the shafts out from the motor i belive that that would also be helpful to people who dont understand tech talk. people are either visual learners or learn through reading. That dosent mean im not going to buy a kit ( which i am going to buy a kit).

After threading it, do u need to blow out the aluminum pieces that falls out?

I bought an h22 with a dropped balance shaft bearing, didn't know till we got the motor running and found low oil pressure, pulled the pan to find the bearing. Will a full delete kit such as explained in the video cure the bearing issue without having to replace the bearing?

i have a h224a motor and i was looking at your producet and went to know can you just use your belt tensioner with out using tuned balance shaft eliminator kit or went to know how much is the hole set up

Hi. Can anyone tell me what are the consequences of eliminating the balance shafts on an Honda F23 engine? Can you really sense the difference on vibration? Will the engine mounts last shorter? Anyone can tell from their experience?

Hey KSTuned, I have an obd1 jdm oil pump, it has a bearing instead of just the aluminum housing for the balance shaft, do you press the plug right into the bearing, or do you have to remove the bearing then press in the plug? Thanks.

What pins on the F23 girdle needs blocked off?

Please, stick a same sized drill (cylindrical chuck side) thru the dowel pins so you can't 'make the oval'. And when it comes to a pry bar, secure it on a not sealing surface. Otherwise I've heard a good bunch of positive feedback on yer parts. greetings

When installing the kit do you have to send the crank to be balance or can i just leave it the way it..

Can anyone tell me why the tap I got is a NPT 1/8 but in this video the tap looks a lot bigger then what I got or did they change where you tape it

I'm planning on still using my Manual tensioner on my h22a. Were exactly does that other part u mention go. I thing u said idler tensioner pulley... But I'm still kind of lost on that part.

At the 8:00 mark where he talks about dropping the threaded plug in, you gotta make sure its on the hex key or it will fall off and get stuck. That's what just happened to me after installing this kit on an F23 block. I had to use a flat head screw driver and tilt the engine 90 degrees to install it. Another very important thing to remember at the 8:00 mark is that you need to make sure that the threaded plug is tightened all the way down so that its not protruding out where a main oil passage is. I use pliers and tightened it down until it was flush with the oil passage. You can visually see this if you use a big hex key on the oil bolt right above the oil filter housing... I think this guide is good but it isn't all that in depth, it needs to tell you everything you need to know.. It doesn't really do that.
