Of all the videos I've found this one is by far the easiest one to understand and to follow along with. Kel-Tec has some pretty unique items, this being no different. Good job explaining sir.
I highly recommend getting the trigger & spring kit from M CARBO & then a butt pad from MISSOURI TACTICAL. Also a receiver cover to save your face from ice cold metal to face contact. Have fun.
Good info. Was on the fence with the KSG, the recoil and the CA prices, then found one for $587 online (a "4th of July" sale). So I pulled the trigger(pun intended😂). Just waiting for delivery to my FFL.
@@texm81ALL Guns purchased online in the US other than 'Curios and Relics' (which require a special license anyway) need to be received through an FFL. ...They will not deliver a rifle or shotgun to your front porch. And your identity needs to be verified.
@@sheldonjplanktonn The KelTec KSG is great...However, after using it I had some buckshots left in the chamber and couldn't get them out so had to shoot them out. Is there a way to remove the the buckshots without having to cycle them through the chamber?
I got a titanium finish ksg months ago and have heavily modified it since. My only advice is definitely get a recoil pad and some sort of forward grip.
Thank you!... I just got my KSG a year ago, and i was having trouble getting into that pesky box.😤 ...Now, on to Step 2!🤪 ...And this is exactly what i imagine Charles Bronson's Hands looked like.
My KSG pump jams when the bolt is half way back, requiring me to beat the angled grip on something solid to unjam it. Can't find any information online.
Wait, so you pull down on the pump release lever & rack it to put one in the chamber (got it) after that, can you just pull the trigger? Or you said “after that, you can just simply PUMP, fire, pump & fire” So you have to rack it again after racking 1 in the chamber? 3:35-3:50 I went to the range with some buddies and everyone was having problems. They’d load it, rack it, line up their target, pull the trigger & nothing would happen. (Safety was obv off) I’m trying to figure out where we kept going wrong.
It has an extractor/elevator mechanism, somewhat similar to any other pump sg. ...The difference is that there is a switch that you have to actuate that blocks off one tube or the other. ...Otherwise it would extract shells from both at the same time, and cause a jam. This also means that you have to reach into the receiver with your thumb and switch to the second tube when the first tube goes empty (I never hear anyone point out that detail). And as a side note, if I recall correctly, the switch also has a middle setting that blocks off both tubes. ...Which could potentially come in handy as a temporary 'Idiot-Proofing' measure, if you keep it loaded but leave the chamber empty.😉
@@KingdomChristianI remember them briefly being on sale for $600 right before The Coof and 'Saint Floyd's Summer of Love' hit... Then they shot up to $1,000+. Got mine a few months ago for $585 + $20 for shipping. My FFL was Pissed.😂 Said "That's Less than WE Get them for!"🤨 ...But I'm a Bargain Shopper, ...So I hear that a lot.😁😂
Just got mine and I’m having an issue with the right magazine tube double feeding. Upon a Google search I come to find out that others are having a similar issue because the manufacturer sent it out with a broken part. 🤨
I wish you showed how to clear the weapon rather than just saying make sure its cleared. I just got this gun and I am really unsure how to make sure there isn't a live round stuck in it somewhere.
1) Press the pump disconnector tab and hold while racking the pump to the rear, to extract any shell that may be chambered. 2) Remove any shell that may have been extracted, and visibly look to make sure that the chamber is empty. 3) With the pump in the rearward position, there is a spring-loaded serrated steel tab at the bottom rear of each magazine tube, that can be depressed to individually eject each shell from the tubes. 👍
@@jfrog1979I know, Right?😂 ...That's odd...🤔 What did He buy, the $30 Model?? ...Mine came in a $1,200 Pelican Case, with gold leaf accents, stuffed with Caviar, Black Truffles, and an Iberico Ham...🤷🏼♂️ If I hadn't thought to check under the foam, I might've missed JFK's Rolex, inscribed with 'Happy Birthday Mr President😘 - Love, Norma Jeane'.
