Good to know meaninga. ksheera = milk, sagaram = ocean , shayana = the person sleeping. This song refers to Lord Vishnu who is sleeping on the milk ocean (paar kadal) over aadhi shesha the thousand headed snake.

I didnt dislike , But if you hear the Das sir version and this u feel different like this is a whole new song. The other one is the same but the kriti entirly depicts bhakti....This is kind of a romantic feel. may be thats the reason. I also have the opinion having understand the bhava of teh song and sing. That what i learned from Gurus...Even from the legend himself.
