You can also send them to Eve due to the pressure you need a large amounts of thrust to get off of Eve so you can send airships to surve as floating base in Eves atmosphere so that you can land SSTOs and rockets (but mainly SSTOs) to the airships so you can send SSTOs to Eve and back without the need of a crap ton of boosters just saying

I hope he updates the airship mod to have a leveling function,it'd make airships so much more versatile if they didn't tip to one side or forward with thrust.

That's on Hooligan Labs. I've done what I can with the Heisenberg, including a powerful torque module. I've found that if you don't go full throttle from a dead stop, and go easy on raising/lowering your altitude, it works better. The Akron (in the OP) flies pretty well if I do that.

+Michael Billard,maybe I'll have a play with the space x platform mod and see if I can shrink it into a much smaller module,maybe that would help to level it out,especially for use with the runway on top. The mod is certainly better than anything I could ever dream of making,look forward to all the potential creations,I'm thinking of making one for exploring atmospheric planets.

Thanks for reviewing the mod! :) I had a lot of fun thinking up the parts and building them so they'd serve many purposes and integrate with other mods. It was a real challenge to make it all work. The RCS uses CompressedAir instead of MonoPropellant, and the GyroRing can make CompressedAir on any world with an atmosphere. The wheel is there by design, and fits the gondola as rover perfectly. I didn't have enough time to make a custom rover wheel before Christmas. I'm also trying to see if KSP will let me make a pivoting docking port so you can have it dock and pivot like the stock claw. That would make trains much easier. Thanks again! :)

The carrier stuff is actually a lot bigger then what you would normally make with the airship. I tried it and it is huge. You should look at it

I have this and the carrier parts installed (heavily modded game) and unfortunately the bits like the tailhook strings and the like don't fit, as the 'runway' is about half the size it apparently needs to be for that mod. rescale on the other seems needed.

You'll find that the Heisenberg has good heat tolerance (we don't paint our airships with rocket fuel), and deliberately low crash tolerance. So it'll survive atmospheric entry, but don't slam it into things.

Neato feature I found for myself well playing KSP if you are having trouble attaching something hold "alt" and it seems to make it easier to attach (I have no clue what the actual function is but it works)

the main problem with this thing: IT LOSES BALANCE COMPLETELY WHEN YOU TRY TO TAKE OFF(it does this because it doesnt count the plane as weight anymore and it just starts tilting which makes it VERY hard to use it as its supposed to)

K.S.S.(Kerbin Sky Ship) Heiseberg commanding officer, Kapitain Zur Luftsee Hans Friedrich Viktor Von Kerman III Note unlike here, kerbals were never crazy enough to put hydrogen in their airships, as such, they have a LONG tradition of airships (150 years +) (we're talking 1000 meter skyships carrying hundreds of kerbals all over the globe, think "flying cruise ship, basically) to kerbals, the journey itself is at least half of the experience, not just a means to get somewhere. they never lost that "romance of the skies" you saw into the 1950's here on earth, you would never see one of those "flying sardine cans" on Kerbin, instead of trying to cram more people into a tiny (relatively) can, they went the other way and concentrated on making their airships more efficient. the latest ships coming off the ways are all solar electric, with Li-Ion battery banks and all carbon fiber construction (very light and VERY strong) just a bit of mental roleplaying/backstory on my part, i like to indulge my imagination every so often

How did you get it to work? I downloaded Firespitter, the hooligan labs stuff and the Heisenberg pack and put it in the GameData folder but there's no new airship parts, no new tabs, no new buttons in the app launcher and sometimes the game will just crash on startup before the title screen even shows. Can you tell me how you got those to work? because it's acting as if I didn't do anything at all.

BTW, just got it to work. Instead of just dropping the unzipped folder into your GameData folder, you need to open the unzipped Mod folder, copy its contents and paste them into your GameData folder. Your Gamedata folder might seem a bit messy then, but it works, at least for me. For some reason the folder was blocking the mod from working.

Im sad i tried to make a carrier but the ship lisp to one side all the time and,my aircraft i attached to said carrier doesnt like to fly off right. I hope ksp 2 has more opportunities to build such crafts
