@@Yokohamasheep Yeah Apollo could still have been a thing and very much in use, the spaceshuttle just cost too much for what little it could do, and managed to "blow up" (in lose terminology), twice.

He's in the warmest part of Britain. The midlands by contrast have been cool for a couple of days already.

We had the heat in May. Now we got all the rain for Europe. While Spain, UK and Turkey dry out. Unfortunately, the water levels as 1.8 m below surface are still an issue in East Germany.

Finland was super hot a few weeks ago, but now it's cold and damp like a stereotypical UK. I know the stereotype is that Finland is a winter wonderland, but that's only in good winters.

I have a space station on Mun's orbit and another one on Duna's orbit. But stations on Kerbin's orbit are pointless, unfortunately.

@@harcourtfentonmudd7980 I use Kerbin orbit space stations as a way-station for Kerbal rescue contracts. It has docked with it a very lightweight orbital rescue ferry with just command seats that rendezvous with the rescued Kerbals and brings them back to the station to wait for return to the surface. Since the rescue ferry only carries a couple of Kerbals it can fill up at the station using very little fuel and then go and collect some more. It can easily go out to the Mun or Minmus for rescues and circularize again back at LKO since it's mostly pure delta-v. Once I've got about eight Kerbals collected on the station I send up a return/reentry craft to refuel the station and then bring the Kerbals down all at once. (Although, I'm not sure I should be telling you this, space pirate that you are ;)

PC KSP is still shamefully inefficient, & feels like it's got worse since I started playing in 1.8. Now, my gameplay turns to treacle when I switch lights on while landed, which is completely ridiculous. AFAIK, console KSP was developed by a separate company, and I guess they just said "We're not doing this any more."

Not always, they deorbit by venting their fuel a specific direction, some payloads leave very little fuel left

@@CardZed yes always, there where only 2 times it didn't deorbit, once during a starlink mission (the engine failed) and once during a military launch (for extra delta v margins)
