Let’s reintroduce this video to the algorithm, with a 2024 comment. This bike is so outclassed in 2024, but I still ride one, and love it. It’s 10 years on, and the 1190 can still kick a lot of bikes’ asses.
Outstanding bike. Still love our 990, but have feeling one of these will be joining the stable for more slab-biased duty. Kudos for choosing the legend that is Mr. Toby Moody to do the vid too!
Great review and very informative! I'm looking at this bike but am concerned about it's size. You mentioned you're not a big guy and it works for you. Well, I'm only 5'7" with a 30" inseam. Would this bike be too big for me? Thanks for your feed back!
@ John Smith. it is quite affordable to the many who don't mind paying for top componentry and technology. As with everything loads of people can't raise that sort of money but under that definition you could call bread unaffordable in many places. It seems some people pick just to pick
with 20% better fuel consumption, longer range and better fueling than the 990 and not much heavier what's not to like. And the electronics make it a safer place to be.
KTM: you inspire me. I'm getting this. I'm very excited. I am drooling all over myself just looking at this thing on the computer screen. Hurry up and deliver this thing to me. If it's possible please accelerate production and delivery to the United States. I want to replace my BMW with this KTM.
How is your 1190 adv doing after 10 months? Any issues/problems? Many say air box allows dust/dirt. I'm most impressed with the electronics like MSc cornering abs.
Looks good but like all these big adventure bikes it will be compared to the bmw gs1200 so... Someone take this thing around the world make a dvd out of it and lets see how it holds up with real world abuse over long distance.
Not impressed. Lots of stuff that will break. Your example of the center stand is not impressive. This is a pure road bike now. I won't be buying one. I'll keep my 990. KTM has left its off-road roots and moved to pavement.
La moto piu acerba e brutta del mondo. L'avete proprio fatta coi piedi e le vendite lo dimostrano. Questo e' distruggere il mercato delle moto. Complimenti
I have a 990adv and a 950se. They are simple and relatively easy to work on. This bike relies on to many systems. I would not want to ride the UP of Michigan or northern Quebec for fear of a electronic glitch. Lastly this thing is just ugly. It looks like my kids Transformers. Sorry.
