Finally thanks for listening!!!! After analysing I think getting a old gen 1duke n moding it to our necessity is more then enough for someone who's first time buying a 390
I owned the RR 310 till last week. I rode the RTR 310. I was impressed. I rode the Duke 390. I sold my RR 310 and bought the Duke. And that should say everything.
I also own RR310.. But I test rode 2 duke 390 gen3 from two different showrooms.. Both vibrated (buzziness) more than my RR310 below 5000 rpm..I'm confused right now..
That silencer is bringing the whole look of the rtr down. I dont understand how TVS hasnt changed the exhaust from the rr310 since that was one of the most criticised design element of that bike.
Just today 9/feb my RTR310 became 1month old😁, Bought it in blue with both dynamic and dynamic pro. Its got so many hidden problems i could make an essay about it, and i will. ride comfort is excellent, i would highly urge and recommend anyone who will be buying bikes, if its being offered with adjustable suspension and if you can just stretch your budget a bit get adjustable. its just makes long ride so comfortable. I do think the reverse inclined layout is the cause of the vibration/harshness. it has certain harmonics that most normal inclined engines dont have and that translated into harshness that can become tingling sensation especially on hands. gloves dampens the vibes, getting heavier handle bar weights do help in minimizing vibes and now i can cruise on 120for really long time, but i instead drive on around 80-100 because of road anomalies. and there vibration is actually not bad. on a day to day basis on either of these machines you wont notice the vibes, unless you do topspeed on every inch free road vibration is not going to be bothersome.
@@raajrane It is , i agree. but RE engines dont make that much power for their displacement. Still i would like to see some ooomph from re engines too. Like the new 450. a sports naked with 450 engine goes to11000 rpm that would be cool. TVs has 50hp tuned rr310 engine racebikes whose vibration probably twist riders nuts off.🤣. For what it is its a solid purchase, as long as it does not die on its own i am keeping mine.
@@droid6759 vibration is not a hidden problem. and explaining them in a comment, no one is staying to read, but since i have the attention i will type it out.
Please make a comparison video between DUKE250, Speed400, CB300R, and RTR310 (lower model without quickshifter). Because all fall in same price bracket and all are really good machines.
Honestly talking about refinement i have no idea why you say the KTM is refined when in reality the apache and ktm both are unrefined and horrendous to ride. completely vibey. I had the Adv 390 and sold it off because of the vibes, and instead loved how refined the Dominar 400 is.
As much as I hate ktm for it's image, I cannot stop admiring the 3rd gen 390 for the performance and features it's offering, I hope it gains more positive image this time. BTW the radiator design of the RTR is damn good
Tvs apache looks like a more expensive ones in terms of design and features only. The starting price is ok ( TVs Apache has way more vibration and buzziness in higher speed than ktm by seeing other youtubers review)
@akashv-jb3sr just have a look at it in person, funny stickers that makes no sense, unwanted panels...we all know it's trying to replicate the look of the Ducati Streetfighter ..i mean the radiator panel is just outright funny....ktm also has the front tank shroud which looks bad also..but comparatively the TV's looks funny and cartoonish.
@@mohanvarma7733 I like Ktm more my friend has a older one. The pickup and ride quality is just amazing. Now the design and instrument cluster of Duke just go better
I request Evo India to make comparison of Hunter 350 vs Avenger 220 ; I know I know it's a bit of a stretch cause of displacement misplacement but still they are of the same category , ( Plus ) If Hero Xpulse 200 can be compared with Himalayan 411 then there are no excuses to avoid this comparison as well .
In terms of performance and overall quality, no doubt the 390 seems a cool option but i still kinda prefer the rtr 310s aggressive design (even tho it seems like a copy of Streetfighter)
Waaaaay back in *2007*🌀 i had the chance to ride a brand new Apache rtr 160 for approx 60-70km... can recollect having felt significant vibrations after 4000 rpms especially at low speeds... TVS R&D is most certainly insistent on keeping those *good vibes* even when they come out with a 1000cc in 2030😅
Having ridden both the old RTRs and now owning a BS6 RTR 200, I can wholeheartedly say that the vibes are not an issue. On this bike, vibes start from 5.5K rpm and disappear at 6.5K RPM. Very mild and easy to live with. You won't even notice it if the throttle is pinned to the max. After the 6.5K RPM point, they disappear and reappear more prominently (where it becomes difficult to be in that RPM range for more than half an hour) at about 9K RPM. I believe that's a much better improvement than the RTRs of yore.
18 minute long, in-depth comparison video and you make the bike stats disappear in a second, now I have to Google it separately, what was the hurry? Great review otherwise.
