KTM 890 smt. is the fuel economy any good???

After a short tour down to the French mountains in the Vosges region, I stopped to fuel up, and wanted to just let you guys see what fuel range I was getting. This was with just a rider and a small amount of luggage for a 5 day trip. Hotel sleeping, not camping.

The big screen is a game changer for sure... 3.5 lkm is 80 mpg uk I believe..

Better than the low/mid 30's mpg of my old 990smt ! That and the rear tyre gone in less than 2kmiles was enough to sell!! Keeping my licence and Staying alive also played a part in that decision!!! 😉

Did it get better or worse since the decat and air filter mods? Mine is running at 70 mi/ukg completely stock.

Well, if you are getting 70 mpg and I got 78 mpg. Then I think we have the answer. I did also do some more spirited riding ( a mixture of riding ) and that got me 73 mpg. So If they are true readings, I would say that the decat and k and n have helped with the fuel... 😬

Been really impressed with my economy, the bike is brought out and given a hard time each time, and gets 170 to a tank. Doing a road trip next year, so looking at 200miles plus, could it be the perfect allrounder!?

@@invictalad it is just such a great bike. A real do it all bike. Like the early 1200 gs, or the 900 hornets I used to have. I just love riding my 890 smt...
