Just having a little fun with the old girl on a twisty road here.
The 990 however was very difficult to ride due to the horrendous throttle response....
I've tried my best to "fix" it but it's "rideable" at best(a progressive throttle cam helped a lot! ; RC8 throttle cam in my case)...my engine cut out when pulling the clutch is also still there...

Where is this road located? And I'm a big fan of your 1190. Binge watched all the videos probably multiple times since I bought my own. Do you still own the bike?

I still have my 1190, but it's up for sale since 7 Months already...I'll replace it with the GS from a friend...the white 30 year edition. I have few RAWs online with it already. @@StromerRU-vid Why did you sell the 1190? Was it all a bit too much, or do you really wanted a different style of bike?

@@Knakkerman- Didn't fit my riding style anymore. For Touring, a GS is much better for me and for the dirt I have the 990 which is 15kg lighter than the 1190 + the suspension is much better in my opinion. Another thing that got on my nerves was the insane heat from the bike.

@@StromerRU-vid Ah I see. I have the 990 smt and I am potentially going to swap it in for a 1190 adventure next year. As it has a bit more features (traction control, electronic preload, etc...)

@@Knakkerman- If you go for a test ride, make sure it's long enough to get the engine really hot. And a little hint: the electronic suspension needs a few seconds after the engine start to go through a "test" program! Do not take off until that's done! You can feel it when the suspension goes to super hard, then super soft and back to normal again.

same problems, bought my bike 2022 ... throttle cam added, smaller front sprocket ect. for the wonky response ect. but still cutting out sometimes when i pull the clutch ... adjusted tps made a world difference but still sometimes idle is at 1800 instead of 1500 and bike cuts off while rolling pulling clutch. My question is did you replace the TPS Sensor already ? And the Idle stepper ? Edit, i also redone all the cable insulations, sprayed every plug, sealed the ECU because the insulation material on the case had some cracks

i literally overhauled the whole engine trying to find the source, opened case, measured everything replaced clutch basket, timing chain and sliders ect. doublechecked every single thing .. but still have the old TPS and idle stepper

@@Suchtzocker Only the TPS so far(currently the old one is in it again), but that didn't change anything...the whole throttle body was already replaced in 2016 by KTM. What helped a little bit, was the sync of the throttle bodies and a new regulator, as my voltage dropped from 14,2V to 13,4V as soon as I revved the engine. Currently on the stock map, with the O2 Sensors disabled. Now the only time the bike cuts out is when i pull in the clutch and cut the throttle above ~5000rpm. 2 things are still on my list: clutch sensor and sidestand sensor. Oh and I set the idle from 1450 to 1500...but it only goes up to 1400...

​​​@@StromerRU-vid atleast i checked the clutch sensor and in the garage it worked every try but maybe i throw it in the pot too im knee deep anyways 😂 new R\R was actually the first thing i did, maybe i measure it again yeah

Meine tendenz geht zum Schrittmotor ... wenn der nur nich so teuer wäre ums damit zu versuchen 😪

@@Suchtzocker my clutch sensor put out some weird values(on my multimeter) on a half pulled clutch...but KTM wasn't able to send it to me since 1. of May....and I live not even a 100km away from the KTM factory in Mattighofen, Upper Austria....
