kublai khan was a local band for me, and I remember being at high school and college parties and hearing some other friends in bands talking about them, like local drama bullcrap and stuff. So weird to see them go from a few hundred views to huge band. Honestly it's so dope to know how far they've come. Everything they've put out is super good! Had the same experience with Crown the Empire, but honestly Kublai Khan about 1000x better lol

I listen to metalcore and stuff thats more melodic mostly these days but im still a hardcore kid at heart. I grew up in both worlds but something about the raw energy of hardcore is unmatched by any amount of typical heaviness you find in more deathcore or adjacent things. Im also new to Kublai kind of but Ive been on the knocked loose and adjacents for years now, coming from the Converge/Dillinger type bands that paved the way for this stuff

I know what you mean. Matt sounds like anger personified. They have become my favorite band as of late. Seems like they step it up every release.

I 100% agree I find that similar with Dan of Gideon he's the same way haha. Wouldn't mess with him but he's the sweetest dude! Kublai are easily becoming one of my favorite bands right now. Nothing feels like getting hit square in the chest like Kublai haha 😂 thanks for watching Zach!
