Yeah if there was ever a demonstration of cals and matts need to get into an argument it’s this. Man was ready to jump on drifts neck. Barely allowing him to finish points when he said at least three times that he was playing devils advocate. It was a very basic point that mat and cal were being cynically dismissive or being wilfully ignorant of. Young players who don’t get their opportunities move on. This is demonstrable. Ask Chelsea. And sometimes those players become, Kevin Debruyne. Cole Palmer. MO SALAH. Very very easy to understand point but some man just wanna be raggo. Bit annoying tbh.

I think the whole stats thing is very subjective. For example drift might use Nunez GA stats to suggest he’s doing well but equally Matt/cal could use the context that Nunez missing open goals isn’t good enough. Same with kubo, drift is using stats to support his argument that he might not be that guy and cal can say that stats don’t tell the whole story. All depends on how we want to view things 👍🏾

We all need to just wait and see how we set up and play under slot in pre season imo. Then we can judge who will be the best signings. Kubo under klopp wouldn’t work but under slot who knows. We will be more possession based so kubo would be a good signing. He works hard as well. The only thing is if salah is leaving soon then we need to replace with the best and the best imo is kudus. He’ll only cost 30m more than kubo as well. If we’re going cheaper tho then soule is the best option. 30m as well.

20:55 - Drifty's maths is not mathing LOL. I get that people struggle to convert from meters to feet and inches. So 1.73 meters is 5.67585 feet which is 5 feet 8 inches (or 5'8"). What you did was convert to feet alone which gives 5.6xxxx. To convert from meters to feet and inches, the decimal part of the value (.67585) must be multiplied by 12 (Since 12 inches make 1 foot) to get your value in feet AND inches e.g. 6'1", 5'5", 6'3" etc

@@KOPISH I am sure Google converter DIDN'T convert 1.73 meters to 5 feet and 6 inches. What you probably saw was 5.67585 feet which is not the same as 5'6". Again 1.73m = 5'8"

I'll go straight to the discussion prompts. Kubo is a talent but I wouldn't sign him. Not what we need NOW & also not sure he'd impact our team in this league. Fabio.. I'm honestly not sure what he can become in our team, was confused on his signing in the first place.🤷🏽 I'm happy not jumping to sign every name out there, as Arne does need to SEE what's in the squad. BUT for him to have success in his debut season he'll need a capably solid defense so I wanted signings that help in that area. DM, CB & backup keeper if Kelleher pushes for the exit. I would even be ok Grav leaving if that got us a senior DM who's a high performer i.e like a Palhinha. Still wud be enough time to see what Bacjetic can become. Effing missed a chance on Palhinha & Calafiori who I think will bang!

If we are not sold on the players we are linked with (I.e. Kubo), which btw there is nothing with. Why are we annoyed that Slot wants to assess his WHOLE squad before we sign players? Especially if the players that are available don't seem like they are gonna take us forward. I don't agree with not signing anyone just asking a question.

Drift is right Kubo is good but not bettet than the 4 Cal compared to I rather us get Kudus whos not even a right winger but can play all over the front. @Team Kopish: Three problems I see at Liverpool currently. 1. Expectations of the fanbase regarding Arne Slot's first season. Let's rewind a bit. When Klopp announced he was leaving, how many months that gave FSG to find a replacement? 3 or 4? You think that's a lot of time to find an adequate replacement by FSG for one of the best managers to ever grace premier league, Jurgen Klopp? I don't believe it... And 2. On the other hand, the new director of football Richard Hughes needs to get more pressure by FSG. John Henry could do something in the lines of "Here's 300 million, do your thing, I am not going to scout or pick players for you big man. That's your job. Cover the holes that need covering" (pause) " Number 3 however...if the reason we are so quiet is due to Liverpool director being given chump change to work with, whilst owners expecting miracles, that's a deep ownership mess right there. Need to move with the times. Can't be competitive with stingy owners. So those are my three points. Let's make a clear separation between all three please. YNWA, fellow Kopish supporter, Atanas

The show has too much analysis on a player we haven't bought yet, we should wait till we buy him first. Having said that, Mitoma & Son are similar size & doing well in the PL, Japanese players are doing well in SPL too. They look slight but seem to be a lot stronger than they look...

Guys a title challenge is unrealistic As we dont move like title challengers i.e. by buying players that improve our squad. The current squad was not good enough last year to win. Therefore if we don't strengthen where we were weak, We can't expect better results. Especially when other teams are making moves Once again ball dropped leaving everything to future season. Then the excuse becomes we can't fix it all in one window. I'm so tired by the lack of ambition. Meh

I'm going to be honest about the tchoumani/conversation regarding if he came to Liverpool was in our midfield playing to a elite level blocking bajetics pathway, I wouldn't really care and I think many fans wouldn't either if we had a world class tchoumani helping us win games potentially titles .
