Great video. I have actually purchased a Bxpanded skid plate but it hasn't arrived yet. Having seen the Bro-tek I am having regrets. Thanks for taking the time to produce this video.

I have the BXpanded skid plate, its so much easier and quicker to install and remove than the Bro-Tek...also if you have the mid-mount mower deck you'll quickly hate their skid plate due to the lack of space already under the machine once the deck is in place, trying to hookup the PTO shaft would be a big pain trying to get the shaft and your hands through that access hole while trying to work around the lift arms for the mower deck. This is the reason I went with the BXpanded skid plate. If you don't have the mower deck you probably don't care, but for ease of maintenance even, the BXpanded skid plate is a 1 minute or less install/removal, not a bunch of nuts and bolts and tools needed...pull 2 pins from the mower lift arms, and it slides out from under the machine.

Thanks for the video. I was wondering how that thing attached. I bought this thing last night and I have to tell you Richard over there at BroTek is one hell of a great guy with customer service. I didn't know I needed a rear plate so he called me about 7:00 at night and informed me that I needed the rear plate also We communicated back and forth about four or five times and finally got done about 8:30 at night as I said great customer service

Great great... thanks much for posting the video...it really helped me get mine done... the Bro Tek skid plate is super nice. Tickled to have it on my BX. Was really surprised at how open everything is underneath. KTM 350 EXCF here, will be looking for ya on the trails..

I am glad you provided this video. I will be buying Skid plate for front and back, I am not sure if I need to raise the rear end to install. I have a 2380 3 point implement, with out a back hole.

Thanks so much for the video. It's a huge help. My bx23s being delivered in a couple days and most of its projects will be in the wooded areas of my place so definitely be adding beefier skid plates.

Note: I would carefully monitor you trans temp. The transmission fan underneath (right where you covered) needs a great deal of air moving through it to keep the hydraulic system cool. Covering it like that without ventilation holes in the skid plate could prove to be problematic.

There is more air coming around the skid plate then the fan can move. After using it for over a year, it works great

I have the BXpanded skid plate, much quicker and easier to install. Front hooks to a couple bolts you install in pre-drilled holes in the tractor frame and the rear utilizes the lift arms for the mid mount mower...have to remove the skid plate for mower use, which is fine as the mower is there to protect the HST fan at that point anyways. But I prefer the BXpanded version as it only takes a minute to install/remove. Since I have the mid-mount mower I elected to go with the BXpanded skid plate and with the PTO shaft from the mid mount mower you really don't want a skid plate in your way trying to hook that PTO shaft up, its already cramped under there with the mower deck lift arms hanging down in your way. It looks like you might be able to get to the HST filter if you remove the Mid-PTO cover on the skid plate. With no mower deck the Bro-Tek is fine, but way too much hassle to remove for servicing of the machine which is why I didn't go that route.

Yes love that little tractor. Having a 33 hp tractor, use it 3, 4 times a week. I went with mini kubota k008-3. Problem is switching out backhoe with 3 point tools.

Nice video. BXpanded also makes a skid plate for the BX23S. Did you compare the two designs before you purchased the one from Bro-Tek?

Dude, put something under those tires or frame before you get under that tractor like that. Any hydraulic failure of any kind would not be good for you under there.

I made a comment about Brotek but there is something I meant to mention. It looks like you used the outriggers of the backhoe to jack up the tractor. Oh brother!! To you and anyone else who reads this, NEVER TRUST A HYDRAULIC!!! If even a pin hole is blown in a hose, or a seal fails that tractor will drop faster than you can say "Aw crap" (or scream "call 911") You WILL NOR get out from under there in time. I've seen it happen.

Well I think it would with just a little modification, the sweet part is that you could take your foot pegs off and it’s wide enough you would have floorboards lol

Stop making those tractor videos. Your going to get me killed. My wife is going to have a fit when I show up at the house with My new kabota tractor. I'll get one I bet. I bet it will be like the one you have. She wants me to make a small pond for the ducks. So that can be my excuse. Back hoe and front end loader is all I need. Question. Do you know if your backhoe controls are ISO? I think that's track hoe standard. Like CAT controls. I'm a heavy equipment operator. And that setup is what I'm familiar with.

Yea lol, well I have always wanted one and really it’s just always been a dream. I just figured I would never get one, but one day my wife seen one and said hey, that’s what you need and I was like Yes ! Yes it is. So we went to the Kubota dealer and they had the financing for 60 months and no interest. I’m telling you it is so awesome have it, I have found so many things to do, I got a brush hog and a rear grader blade for it also. I live it, I just wish I would have got one years ago. I didn’t get the mower deck, I didn’t want it for mowing grass. One nice thing is you can hire out and do small jobs to help with the payments. I have had so many people already asking for me to do work for them, I’m just not ready yet, maybe in the spring! I don’t know about the controls so I’m not sure what ISO is.

@@WOODZMAN I've been looking at them. About 20k for a new one. I'm just going to go to the dealer and check them out. I don't need the mower iv got a bran new Hustler 52 inch. Love it. I just love running equipment. I want my own probably as bad as you did. 60 months. How much does that put your payments at?
