Congrats on your new tractor. Happy to hear we played a small part in you deciding to buy a Kubota. as for the mods. It's pretty much the same that's on our BX25D with the exception of a few that were requested by some 23S owners.

I’ve seen people do many things in my life that caused them much grief. I had no issue with the system. Maybe something isn’t right with your loader frame or your method is wrong. Get your dealer to check it out and see where the issue could be.

Obviously getting your loader stuck is the result of poor technique. I take responsibility for that. Am I having this problem all of the time? No, not at all. I have learned how to correctly take my loader on and off. Is my loader bent or damaged? No, it is in perfect condition but I did have to replace the stand after bending it. I had my dealer help me and I had them service the loader and everything is in perfect working order. Am I saying there is something defective with this design or that this happens all of the time? Of course not! What I am saying is that it is very important that you always make sure that you have your loader properly in the receiver on the main frame of the tractor. If you start raising and lowering the loader arms you can get yourself into a situtation where the loader arms can come out of the receiver frame. If that happens you will have the clam locks still attached to the tractor frame and you will have a hard time getting them to release. Most of the technique in getting this loader on and off has to do with curling the bucket. Just follow the instructions in the operator's manual. During the Kubota Field Event this spring I watched a Kubota rep nearly do this same exact thing when he went to show a customer how "easy" this loader comes on and off. I agree this is a technique issue, I have it down now but buyer beware. Like I mentioned above it is not fool proof and while the new convenience features are great they are not without their own issues. That amazing flat faced coupler quick attach manifold for example has had some issues with leaks. My quick attach loader manifold assembly has been replaced twice by Kubota under warranty. My dealer and Kubota have both been great to work with but my dealer had to put a lot of time into working with technical reps.

Just to clarify. I don’t own this tractor. It’s on loan to us from NL Kubota Limited to help us devolope new accessories for this type of tractor. As for a grapple. I have one for our BX25D and love the thing. You won’t be sorry if you get one. Here’s a photo of ours flic.kr/p/284gJ8V

Thanks Nate. One of the first things I did with our BX was make a heavy duty skid plate. I think of it as “Military Grade”. They are a must have. Check out the link to ours. I’ve only made a few of them and eventually we’ll offer them for sale. Good luck! I used to have the BX23S now have the B2601. I do miss the bucket level indicator. Would buy one if Paul creates one. Also those larger backhoe feet would be great as well.

The B2650 with cab has bucket level indicators.

I don’t have a BX23S but I worked on a few of them and if you seen me with one here it belonged to Newfoundland Kubota Limited and we were developing accessories for it. That being said. The BX23s has a lot of plastic parts on the hood and the shrouds and they can vibrate a lot at differant rpms and it can make a lot of noise so that’s one possibility. One other possibility is the motor mounts on yours may not be aligned properly and may need a slight adjustment. Yours should have plenty of warranty on it so it wouldn’t worry me to much. These tractors are bulletproof so on hold tight and enjoy your tractor.

Coy these videos take a lot of time out of our day and we just didn't have a minute to spare. As a matter of fact we ended up working until 7:30 PM because the video's bit into our day job time. Video's take some time to shoot, edit, render then upload.

Paul & Kathy Short I realize that a lot of time goes into creating videos. This video edited to 11:05 minutes but I would not be surprised if total time invested not counting computer processing time took several hours out of your day. But the comparison would provide helpful information for anyone considering a new 23S vs a used 25D. While my tractor is not a Kubota, I also have never removed the loader. I have read the procedure, but never done it. I bet there are 25D owners in the same boat.

You are correct. This video took a little more than two hours then once launched I try and answer some comments and that could go on for years. As for the comparison. Kubota do not pay me a dime to do any of these video's and having to work to make a living my business can suffer trying to promote another business so I keep it to a minimum. If we were on their payroll Kathy and I could make a Kubota video ever day of the year but they won'y pay for what they are getting now for free so who can blame them.

I haven’t replaced any yet. They look to be a differant size and the boots are differant. The hydro unit appears to be the same with the same adjustments needed.

These little 3 cylinder engines are a great engines but they vibrate a lot. I’d rather have the vibration with their reliability than smooth with issues. Yours will be ok. Don’t worry about things that might never ever happen. Enjoy your awesome tractor.

The mower attachment looks the same to me. I can’t say it is for sure.

There would be more differences on the deck I think. I'll have to rewatch the how to Kubota video again, to see the difference(s). I Just recall all the trips on/off the tractor.

No. This tractor is on loan so we can take measurements for our mods. The tractor belongs to NL Kubota Limited here in Newfoundland. They are just helping us out with our business. No need for a mower deck.
