Thanks for the video on replacing the quick coupler fitting. For two weeks I struggled to reconnect the front coupler for the grapple. I purged the lines, etc. The issue was me, I do not have enough strength to push in the connector. A friend finally did this for me. Taking attachments on and off has got to be the biggest problem for me. I can operate the tractor, but the connecting of the attachments is a huge issue. Thanks for the videos as they are very helpful. Can't wait to see the playground.

When a coupler has too much pressure in the line it can be impossible to get connected. Sometimes I just bleed the line a little by loosening a fitting to relieve the pressure. The playground is a huge project I didn't anticipate but it'll keep me busy for sure. Hope the kids like the end result. Keep on tractoring!

Hi Jon! Yep, better get your tractor to the dealership before the warranty runs out. Sorry you didn’t get to play on the backhoe, but clearly your “mission” was for a worthy cause! You have a lot of work ahead of you to rehabilitate that playground set. Looking forward to seeing the backhoe action and the rebuild! Take care!

I did get some backhoe fun recently, a video is in the works. However, yes the playground is going to be more work than I anticipated. I'm sure it'll all be work it. Keep on tractoring!

I hope you have better luck with your quick connect manifold than I did. My BX23S went back to the dealer three times due to leaks. They ended up working with Kubota on the third attempt and replaced the entire quick connect. I was told some of the quick connects had a manufacturing defect. The first time they replaced the quick connect it was with the same faulty manufacturing defect. Things are much better now but it still occasionally leaks a little.

That is exactly why I’ve waited this long so they could get that issues sorted out. I have heard from others as well they had multiple issues. When I talked to the service department they were well aware of the issue and it was a common problem. They’ve got it fixed now I guess. We’ll find out in a week or so.. Keep on tractoring

You don’t need to replace the couplers we need to replace the O-ring gaskets on the inside of the couplers, and there’s a recall on those from Kabota 🚜

When you are trying to hookup those couplers, the easiest way to do so is to make sure there's no pressure at the coupler on the tractor, otherwise you'll forever be fighting to connect the hoses, so for your case lower your 3 point hitch, that'll take the pressure off that coupler and allow you to connect that hose...I'm sure you already know this though.

Morgan got a Kubota or two. I was surprised to see a BX23S. I never expected a sub-compact - but on the other hand it makes sense from Kubota’s perspective - They sell a lot of BX tractors - I was kinda expecting to see New Holland as New Holland’s N.A. HQ is in New Holland, PA.

Kubota doesn’t work with youtubers so to see Mike begin a partnership with them is very unusual. Mike does some great stuff and is a perfect fit for their brand. The BX is the best selling tractor in the country right now. Keep on tractoring!

I think with a designated set of forks instead of bolt on forks you would have got those trees off the truck a lot easier. I was even thinking using your bucket with a strap holding the tree from tipping out might have worked better. Keep on tractoring!

I have the same problem with my new BX2680 and 31 hrs. The quick disconnect coupler system is a bad design. The issue with the design is that it does not connect fully like single quick connect system. My tracktor is in the shop now, and I am converting back to single connects for each hose for the loader. This issue is common. Replacing the top portion will not fix the issue.

I think the connection could be tighter. I think they are supposed to have a solution for this issue by now. In the beginning I think replacements were just anither defective part. We’ll find out I guess. Keep on tractoring!

I have a 2018 BX1880 and I'm also within a month of warranty expiring. At 89 hours my quick connect hydraulic manifold for the loader started leaking as well. Hopefully the dealer can get the issue resolved.

How's she goin'? When the flat face hyd. connectors first came on the market I was thinking they are pretty neat. Then I saw the price and had second thoughts. Now that I see you are having trouble with them, I'm having 3rd thoughts!!! LOL Looks like you're be 'playing' with that playset looks getting it repaired!!! Take care!!

I still prefer the flat faced over the pioneer fittings but surprise my fitting broke on me. I think Kubota has fixed the leaking issue. I guess I will find out after I get mine replaced. The playground is going to be a bigger project than I thought. It should all be worth it in the end when the kids get to enjoy it. Keep on tractoring!

My BX2380, the non backhoe version leaks at the loader quick connect sometimes also. I have found that if I clean the mating surfaces to sterile operating room levels it will only seap a small amount. I spray the parts with brake cleaner just before attempting to connect. The advertised do it all from the seat loader attach / detach is not a practical reality in my case.

I'm hoping the warranty replacement fixes the issue. I've been told it will. We'll find out soon I guess. Good idea to use brake cleaner. Watch the paint surface though that stuff can eat away at paint. Keep on tractoring!

Olson's is local to me. 12 miles up the interstate. I do have an evil green machine though. :) Waiting impatiently for my pallet fork set up from palletforks.com on Wednesday. Keep on tractoring!!

Great videos, Jon. Enjoy watching them. My 2018 BX23S started leaking at the quick coupler (tractor side) about 1 month out of warranty with 300 hrs on it. After researching online and discovering there have been issues with them, I discussed it with my dealer and he got me the replacement part from Kubota without charge but I have to do the labor or pay the dealer to do it. I know the dealer changed yours but any advice you might have would be appreciated. Also, any leaks on your replacement? Hope not.

I did have that coupler replaced and haven’t had any issues with the new one yet. I think it’s nice your dealer is replacing it but it’s too bad they are charging you labor. Kubota should have officially recalled that coupler. I wouldn’t think it would be that tough to do yourself. FYI, When they replaced mine it took just under an hour. Hope this info helps. Just a heads up 9 times outta 10 if a quick coupler fitting wont push together theres to much pressure built up behind one fitting or the other so if u unscrew both fittings a little and relieve that pressure theyll pop right on after u retighten them. Yours may have been legit broke idk but I figured I'd let you know in case you didnt know about that

You are right about the pressure and fittings not working because I’ve been in that situation before. I actually had the fitting off and in my hand and couldn’t get them together. They were defective for sure. Keep on tractoring!

Went to a kubota dealer on friday to get the filters and fluids for my 400 hour service, kubota wants $37 for a windshield wiper for my l5460 hstc..... talk about highway robbery oh and BTW kubota 400 hour service costs me $615 just for parts and fluid!

WOW! That is highway robbery and a windshield wiper should be 10 bucks at the most. A full service should be under $400 for sure. That's just terribly ridiculous! I did a full service on my L3940 last summer for just under $300 in supplies. Keep on tractoring!

I have 10 hours on my 2020 BX 1880 and my quick connect also has a very small leak and I do not look forward to giving it to my dealer for 2 or 3 weeks because they are so slow at getting anything done

It was a 2 hour job for my dealer. I called and asked when a good time would be because I would just wait while they worked on it. I don't like dropping it off to pick up weeks later either. Keep on tractoring!

Just had a cab like yours installed on my new BX23s. The hydraulic line quick connector on the backhoe is a 90 degree angle so it fits and connects easily. However with the backhoe off, such as when you use the 3-pt hitch, the tractors main hydraulic line now makes a loop and connects to the tractor. But that quick connector is straight and longer. It does not clear the frame for the cab and nearly impossible to connect and disconnect quickly and easily. I wonder if it too should be at 90 degrees to fit in that location better ?

It wasn’t as heavy as it seemed, being all lightweight redwood but then today I tried lifting a stump I thought for sure I could handle and I was disappointed it couldn’t. I know how you feel. I’ll be addressing the hydraulic downfalls later this summer. Keep on tractoring!

Sir,I am looking to check my hydraulic pressure on my 2020 BX 2380 loader.Is the flat face coupler that you installed the same size as the one on the loader, will it fit the male end of the loader 4 bank ?if so ,can you tell me the size and make and part number of the flat face coupler? I have not been able to find this size. I appreciate any information you can give.

I would love to able to tell you but I just don't know. I went to my dealer and bought 4 female flat face couplers for my snowblower. My best advise would be to call your dealer. I know they're not cheap. I think summit hydraulic is another place you could call or e-mail. They might be able to help you out. Keep on tractoring!

I had the valve replaced on mine under warranty. It stopped leaking for a couple months but then started again. I've tried everything. It's just a poor design that leaks. That's my conclusion.

It is a poor design and it’s unfortunate it’s had so many issues. They don’t seem to want to fix the issue either. I had mine replaced and it still leaks from time to time. Merry Christmas! Keep on tractoring!

My bx2380 started leaking from loader quick disconnect 🤦‍♂️ leaking all on my floor boards have only 10hrs on the machine, is there a fix I can do myself or let the dealer fix it.

I had mine replaced under warranty. This was an issue with many BX’s and I believe the replacement is a slightly different design. Mine seems to work now without leaks. Keep on tractoring!
