The thing alot of dealers especially John deere don't like to mention is the exposed hydro lines running down the loader.Anyone who works in alot of brush will know exactly what I'm talking about.Kubota Takes there times puts them in the loader.And the gauge steel on there tractors/loaders is 2nd to none!Atleast he did say which ever dealer is closer/and reliable.I have no Yanmar dealers but I do have a friend who has 1..He can get parts but finding someone to bring him another tractor if something goes wrong with his is out of the question..I've had 3 kubotas over 20 years..And have never had a tractor down more than a day..Due to manufacturing problems.The number 1 thing in buying a tractor I have found out is a dealer that wants your business long term...

I choosed Kubota over yanmar , I had no choice because Kubota gave me very good discount. However I tried yanmar and for sure several things are better done in Yanmar. Seat position and front loader operation is much more advanced and better than with Kubota - You can see immediatelly that Yanmar has all this exprience with excavators.

Absolutely top-notch review! It's a shame that everybody doesn't watch this before purchasing. You might see a lot more Yanmars out there. Both of them fantastic machines but the fit and finish on a Yanmar is hands down A step above a Kubota. Both will no doubt run forever. I personally own a Yanmar Cub Cadet that was only produced for a handful of years but the same scenario is there also. Awesome machine that has worked and worked beyond my expectation! Bravo on the quality of this video! If it doesn't answer your question, you don't need to be buying a tractor LOL

I've owed both of these tractors from being brand new, If you're looking for tractor with a loader, the Kubota loader is way smoother and better quality and it lifts more even though the specs don't say so. The loader control lever on the the Kubota goes directly into the hydraulic valve giving you full control and smooth operation, the Yanmar has small cables going from the lever requiring added linkages and parts to fail and it made it rough to operate under a load. The Yanmar loader also has cheap hydraulic hoses (I had 2 blow in the first 6 months I had the tractor). I like everything about the Yanmar and I even prefer Yanmar except for the loader is junk. The Kubota doesn't have a electric pto switch and the seat isn't comfortable at all unlike the Yanmar, but everything is built well and it will last. So if you were to order a tractor without a loader, I would pick the Yanmar, if you want the loader, pick the Kubota (that's if you're comparing these 2 models, the Yanmar YT225 model is built better than the YT235)

Yanmar does look & sound impressive at a competitive price. A Yanmar T35 w a cab would hit the sweet spot in terms of power, torque and features for a 0.5 to 5 acre use, home or farm. One basic question is the Yanmar less costly because the frame or steel is a lesser grade or is it comparable to Kubota or John Deere? A tractor needs to be durable and reliable, working in possibly in tough terrain and weather. Any response on frame, quality and grade of steel?

Love the new yanmar’s but have lots of fear that they will not stay here long term! They were here for a very short time in the 80’s and pulled out leaving customers high and dry, came back a few years ago to team up with cub-cadet making tractors and again it was short lived and left customers high and dry. I love the new tractors in every way, I even narrowed it right down to the YT347C / YT359C but have tons of fear that they will pull out again! They are in the most competitive market, the compact and subcompact market, so that competitive market, the featured rich options I love but are electronic / computer based followed with there history of coming and going scare the wallet out of me. They have been around for ever as a manufacturer for lots of brands, but them on there own does not have a good track record. All the electronics/computers that are in all these new tractors could be devastating if they pulled out in a couple years. I would love to here comments and opinions about this.

Micheal, I can assure you, Yanmar is here to stay. Yanmar is putting more and more money into the united states market each year and we have had wonderful success with selling plenty of tractors. As someone who has been involved in meetings regarding the future of Yanmar, I can say that they are not only staying in the market in the U.S but they are growing very quickly because they have the one of the best value/performance ratios of any tractor on the market.

As a share holder I'm hoping they leave the US. Warranty cost in the US is several times more than most countries. Selling motors to US manufactures/retailers makes good since because we share the warranty cost (example, deere covers 80% of yanmar engine warranty cost). Warranty cost just kills it in the US as Americans just expect a much higher quality product than most companies.

I have a yanmar 2610D Have really enjoyed it over the years. I didn’t know at the time it was a gray market tractor. Now I’m paying that price. Front left lower wheel gear box cracked and haven’t been able to find a used one. But now I’m in the market for another tractor. I’m considering another yanmar if they have parts available only. But this old 2610D motor and transmission is tuff as nails. Over all it’s been a really reliable tractor. A solid concrete block busted my lower gear box. It was not a factor issue.

my first tractor was a Yanmar 220D. It is still in use today, and I suspect is over 50 years old. I do have a Yanmar dealer nearby. I bought the L2501 Kubota because of the 0% financing. I would like a few more hp, as that is the primary limit I have reached on the L2501. I have had to make multiple mods on the tractor to make it work for me: brush guard, canopy, front and rear hydraulics, floor mats, better seat, and right side handle (which is optional). I prefer the hydro pedal on the Kubota, but I think the decision to locate the loader control the way they did is terrible. I plan on remoting my loader controller to the right fender. I have received criticism in the past as others have said that I bought a utility and I should not expect more. I point to the Yanmar as a counter argument. My Kubota is just about depreciated, and I will probably take a look at the Yanmar. Thanks

The green and Orange dealers went on and on how I should spend $6k more for alot less tractor, weight, lift, warranty because they said I would get so much more for it when I sell it. The Kubota has just over 1100 lb lift capacity and the yanmar has 1300 lb lift capacity. The Kubota lifts to 94 in and the yanmar lifts to 84 in. Now what would be one reason why the anmar has a higher lift capacity? Cuz it can't lift as high! So many people look at motor lift capacity like it's telling the whole story about a loader but yet a lot of people don't realize how those numbers are manipulated. 1300 lb on paper but I guarantee that yanmar can't lift 1300 lb to Max height and dump it into the back of a truck!
@donaldstrishock3923
@donaldstrishock3923 Год назад
All these "max numbers" are at Max pivot pin hight with NO atachment on the loader arms at all. Small Kubota & John-Deere tractor loaders are the "weekest" on the market. The loaders themselves are great builds ,BUT have small lift cylinders, low pressure-low volume pumps ---all perhaps just for saftey & relability.

I just sold it on Craigslist and bought a MX5400 (premium features) for $32k including rear remotes, 3rd function, filled rear tires, heavy duty FEL, and quick hitch. Never considered another tractor brand as Kubota is, IMO, the Lexus of tractors for reliability and quality. That and the price of a Yanmar is not far off of the price of a Kubota.

Does it have tilt stearing,console mounted loader valve,seat suspension more than 3/4", ground lever fueling,right side step,horn? My MX5200 Does Not but my Massey-fergus Certainly DOES. This Yanmar BEATS this Kuboa BAD. Case in point Kubota has the "Best Dealer Presents " of the two hands down, plus the loaders are SO WEAK- they will never break. Kubota only comes out on top with their backhoe attachments Almost every time. Kubota are 15% over-priced compaired to features of other brands-- but they do about have the best "longevity " to the competition--presently. Maybe the best warrenty but l don't know mine's 5years old & 825hrs young & ZERO problems.

A average pick-up's production's cost is Only 7500.oo$ -- 9500.oo$; the Rest gets "Jacked-up" through sales,distribution,advertising, marketing & mostly FINANCING. And yes l have 3 foreign tractors, a kubota,& 2 Massey-ferguson's( they are under 70hp)--- it Shames me to BUY ANYTHING foreign Built or BRANDED. This is the crazy-lazy world we live in. Thanks for the reply & happy safe tractoring.

Who beat the shit out of the grill on the Kubota at 9:09 , that thing has at least 3+ holes ripped in the grill. Fire that operator now. Both of these tractors have DEF,, that's a deal breaker for me. BIG, BIG $$ down the road.

The previous owner of the tractor. Also the tractors DO NOT have DEF instead they use a diesel particulate filter.

@@TractorBobs yes you are correct,,,,, that's true on the DEF/DPF issue on these tractors. They still have regeneration and when the DPF unit plugs or fails dig deep folks,,, $3500 plus. Still a deal breaker for me I'll just keep on using my NH TC45DA and KUB 1750.

As long as you're happy that's all that matters. From what I've read, Mahindra's cause nothing but headaches for their owners.

@@pctatc66 yep. My neighbor would agree. He's had it for a little over a year and he has blown five cylinders, a backhoe hydraulic hose, his gas cap (?), and dented the fuck out of his hood. The dealer said not to come back. His warranty has been voided.

Hi Chief119, I sell both the Yanmar line and the Mahindra line. Mahindra has some strong points like overall lift capacity, weight, and the mCRD. With that said, Yanmar’s quality and lower cost of proper maintenance along with better parts availability make it a tremendous value. The Yanmars are a more premium unit in every class, sure you pay a little more on the 35hp by comparison it’s worth it if you enjoy ergonomics and a lower decibel at the operators station. Just an opinion based on dealing both brands daily.

@@pctatc66 Had mine for four years and no issues. Built far better than Kubota or Deere (companies run by bean counters). Branson and Tym make great machines too.
