Well here is a video of a SVL65 owner switching out to a SVL75 after about a year. I knew my 65 very well. I use my machines in some challenging areas. So I usually push my machines a little bit.
I think both are good machines. Either one would do the work I doo. The 75 does have more power and weight which helps. But the 75 is defenatly loader inside.
Thanks for watching.
If your in the local Kansas City area, I bought this machine at
Coleman Equipment in Bonner Springs from
Logan 913-523-4622

Thanks for comparison video. I'm glad I went with the 75. I definitely agree on the auto level and hybrid drive also.

Just did a demo on a svl75. Looking to replace my T190. Thot kubota was great untill i used it. I noticed alot of blockage of sight on lift arms and was not impressed at all with the machine overall. Loud and hydraulics felt wierd to plain jane for me. I wouldn’t trade my bobcat for a svl75 i am a grader and demo guy for 30 yrs have ran John deer,cat, bobcat and not a fan of this unit at all. Thanks for the awsum video 👍👍

You know what they say there is a butt for every seat. I kinda feel like they all have their strengths. I actually love the power of a Deere 325G in this class better than anyone else's machine. But the door gets me. And the foot room in the cab. Cab is nice and big. The 75 has pretty good power. The door really gets me though. I used to have a mini skid all the time to load stuff and to move stuff around the shop mostly. Being able to get out of the door when the boom is up saves me from having to have that extra piece of equipment.

Until all the manufacturers learn how build a door that rolls up versus swing out ill always choose a takeuchi or kubota. It just boils down to the door for me 🤷‍♂️

I had a Bobcat for shearing cedar on our ranch…out there for hours, by myself in the brush…miles from rescue, etc. I had concerns about a stalled machine that wouldn’t restart, me trapped inside, with a big nasty cedar tree in my shear or grapple that was blocking the door from opening. Yeah, I know, I could unzip back window (the emergency exit) and crawl out over the seat back and try to fit through the small window to safety. How needs that scenario in the back of

…WHO needs that dreaded scenario in the back of their mind constantly? The overhead door trumped everything for me!

The SVL75-2 and the SVL65-2 have the same style of hydraulic system, straight open center gear pump. The SVL95/97 uses a load sense system.
@skidco
@skidco 2 года назад
Incorrect sir. The SVL 65 and 95 have similar drive systems the Kubota calls a Hybrid Drive system. The 75 does not have the same drive system.

I am pretty sure you have the tracks on correct. There is a arrow on the tracks, but kind of hard to find the points the correct direction.

I liked mine better than my 75-2. I have a fence guy I know and he is the same way. He has both and he may trade the 75 off for another new 65-2

I’m having a very hard time picking between the 317G and the 65. I think you had both? Any input? The Deere is more expensive and I like the extras you get vs how basic a 65 is. But the super simplicity of the 65 has an appeal all to itself. I need to fit under 7’ doors so Taks are out sadly because I liked the TL8 R2 a lot. Anyway any advice or input is appreciated. The price difference is around 13k more for the Deere.
@skidco
@skidco 2 месяца назад
Thats a hard decision. Yes I've had both. I do like the door. But the Deere has more power for pushing if that's important. The Deere may also pick up a little more.

@@skidco thanks for the reply. I’m waiting until October to make my final decision. Since I don’t need the machine right now I’m hoping the 65 gets similar updates seen in the 75-3. September or October is when my dealer would know if such an update is happening. Yeah I need the smallest machine dimensionally that can lift the most and push the hardest. As my work is moving pallet material on my personal property. A skid of advantec is 3800lbs plus the forks. The 65 can move that…carefully same for the 317 but the extra 6-700lbs(with counter weights) and deeres over kill loader hydraulics make it more of a sure bet. But it cost what a 75-3 costs…why can’t someone make the perfect machine?!? Haha. Thanks again for the reply at least I have some time to think it over

Oh the majority of its work will be ground dirt work. Grading and driveway construction on my personal property and odd side projects for contractors I’m friends with.

Side note - the machine does not have to be turned off to relieve pressure and attach/detach the quick couplings. Just ensure the AUX is turned off which when the safety arms are up if you have left the cab it shuts all of that off anyway;
@skidco
@skidco 2 года назад
If you pull the fitting out and start the machine you will have flow out of the port. Its not totally shut off like an on and off switch. Its not as high as flow as it is running an attachment but still has flow.
@yellowmetaldriver1460
@yellowmetaldriver1460 2 года назад
@Skid-Co you may want to have that checked that is not normal operation. I have the same machine a 2021 model and nothing leaks when disconnecting or reconnecting when running or off. I am the only one running the machine so I am never in the cab when connecting and disconnecting lines.
@skidco
@skidco 2 года назад
Correct. but take a wrench out there and unscrew the fitting. All machines have parasitic flow to the fittings while running. So if you disconnect with the machine running there is still flow behind the fitting. When you plunge the fitting running you can fell the flow push back on the fitting as its pushed to release the pressure. Not running you will not feel the flow push back. I always release and unhook while the machines is off. Especially in the summer. Heat and cooling builds a little pressure in the attachment.
@yellowmetaldriver1460
@yellowmetaldriver1460 2 года назад
@Skid-Co never needed to take a wrench to fittings. perhaps they have changed something in newer models but with the aux flow not on and engine running I can push to release pressure just the same as if the machine is off. It takes the same amount of force if the machine is running or turned off on mine. Good vids

I have a new 95 and I have watched your videos where you changed the tracks from the 65 to the 75. I also like the tread pattern on the ones you put on the 75. I know you told in the video which ones they were but I didn't catch the name of them. Do you mind giving me the name of them and I can only assume that they do better due to you changed them. Thanks for the videos.

Higher ground clearance might suggest a higher center of gravity, so wondering if that affects steep slope work?

Which one do you think would be best for a rental offering?
@skidco
@skidco Год назад
I like the SVL 65-2 better overall. Both I think would do good in a rental situation. They are built really tough. The 65 does just as much as the 75 does in my opinion.

Should I buy Takeuchi TL8R2 or Kubota SVL75-3 Any advice?
@skidco
@skidco 10 месяцев назад
Im actually looking at a TL8R@ right now. Trying to figure out if I want to change machines. I ran the tl8 for about 5 minutes in the lot. There are some benefits I can see straight away of the tl8. Boom is really beefy. But the Kubota SVL 75-3 seems to have all the fixes I would like to see in it. Not sure what to tell you. I haven't had either long enough to get a feel on what it will do. Id say that one depends on which dealer you like and cost. Id say they are pretty comparable machines with the -3 Kubota.

Way to big for me. The 75 does good. The 65 was fine. But if Deere had the door id have a 325G.
