Your video just saved my ass on this job! Was trying to figure out why my cold planer wasn't working properly totally underpowered I thought maybe there is a line restriction... Tomorrow morning on the job I know how it works! Thank you! Only took me 3 years of owning an SSV 65... next time I should read my service manual 😂

That is awesome. Im glad it could help out. It was one of those subjects I kept getting asked about so I did a video. Im really glad you found it to help out with your machine. Thanks for checking out the channel.

I'm not sure on the 65 and 75 but on the 95 and 97s you have 14 different settings on your dash that increase's the flow rate with each step. When hooking up high flow to an attachment you need to know the maximum flow rate the attachment will take and not set the machine higher than the attachment will handle. The sad thing is Kubota holds these settings cost to them. You have to pay to get what each setting is flowing. Which should not be that way.

I’ve got a screenshot of all the settings and the corresponding flow. Drop your email and I’ll send it to you

I have been using a 75 with a seppi drum for nearly a rear now with the high flow option activated and never noticed a difference in power while using it in standard flow. The right side of the toggle never has worked for me, only the left. Did the factory hook the male and in and out backwards? Is that why it is only working in standard flow the entire time?
@skidco
@skidco Год назад
OK so what you need to do is switch the fittings on the attachment. The mower has a check valve in the so it can't run backwards. So when you try to engage it going the other way it probably just loads up and doesn't run. I don't think you have ever ran high flow to that attachment. You may be in for a surprise with more power. You want standard flow attachments to work to the left and high flow should go to the right of the toggle. Hope it helps. Let me know.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the male and female on the bottom of the manifold have a slightly larger center circle. Allowing for more flow than the top couplers.

You are absolutely correct.

Correct. I get allot of people confused and they think they are two separate circuits. Thats why I made the video to try and help explain it. But yes. Larger fittings allow more flow through them with less restriction.

Don't even own one but planning on getting a couple to rent out locally. Any preference on 65 vs 75 and which would be best to rent out?
@skidco

I like the 65 over the 75. Its lighter and a little faster hydraulics. Cheaper and easier to haul because of the 1000 pound difference in weight. They are both very comparable to each other. I own a 75 now and wish I had my 65 back every time I get back into one.

I’m just about to buy the SVL65. All I plan to use it for my business is augering post holes, hammering concrete and very minimal material spreading. I was considering a snowblower maybe in the future. I wasn’t figuring on needing a high flow machine because I won’t be mowing with it. What is your opinion?
@porteeab
@porteeab 2 года назад
I'd consider a potential snowblower to be significant motivation to go with high flow. Take a look at specs on various models of blower and compare to the SVL specs. The price difference for high flow isn't that big in the grand scheme of things.
@skidco
@skidco 2 года назад
I think it would do totally fine. If your not blowing snow commercially and having to be on a big time crunch I wouldn't think you would need high flow either. Blowers don't take tons until you are throwing it 50' and running hard with them. I really liked my 65 I had.
@jacobconfer1693
@jacobconfer1693 2 года назад
No I won’t be using it for commercial snow removal. And I’m still not sure if I would even get a blower for it or just use a blade.
@skidco
@skidco 2 года назад
You would be totally fine. I pushed snow with my SVL 65-2 on commercial sites. I like using pusher boxes. And the 65 pushed a 8' box on long pushes with heavy wet snow. I have some videos of it on my channel. Search around for them. It was probably 2 years ago. Hope it help.
