Kubota SVL65 Track Loader Plowing Snow! Come along and see if this machine can handle the snow and ice we throw at it!! Do some shopping: www.amazon.com...
Good video. One thing that concerned me was the slipping and sliding on fairly flat ground. How would it do pushing snow up a steep driveway ( 100 vertical feet ) Thinking wheels would be better with chains. Still debating about wheels vs track.
Luckily, a few days after this storm we had 50 degrees and rain, so most of the snow is gone. I hate snow, and we have thought about moving south for years!
My 1st real good time in a SVL seat was pushing snow and I racked up 80 hours my 1st winter in a Kubota svl and it was well worth having it and glad to see you getting some work pushing snow with one as well so have a good one man #kubotaproud
haven't had much snow at all here in southwestern pa...more rain and some ice but little snow... that's one heck of a machine , should push about any amount of snow
Hi, New subby here from Yorkshire, England! we rarely get snow like that here. I love the snow and would happy to move snow all day for you with your skidsteer! All the best Jon DingleZilla Esq.
What track pattern do you have on the machine? Wavey H pattern? Do think that style performs better in snow than other track styles? (C pattern, Q pattern, Z patterns)
Second!!! But I waited until the end to comment 😎 She gets around pretty good!! I'm assuming you have a "drier" snow??? When we get snow, it's wet and heavy! Snowball fights aren't as fun, because when you make a snowball, it turns to an ice ball.. I've run Cats to plow logging roads, steel tracks slip slide around... But the good news is, whatever you have pushed to the side, is an ice barricade.... You have to try hard to bust through it!!
LOL We had an ice storm the first day, and snow the second day. By the end of the third day (the day I was plowing) it started to get wet and heavy as it melted a bit.
@@dehavenfamilyfarm nice... It pushed great!! Looked like it stayed straight. That would explain why it looked like it was sticking to the blade a bit..
I noticed if I let the machine sit without cleaning off the undercarriage, things started to freeze up a bit. Snow/ice knocking off a track is definitely something to watch out for!
@@dehavenfamilyfarm it pays the bills!! I like the blade! Always thought instead of snow pusher a v plow from a pickup would be nice, V back to open driveway then V forward to clean?!
@@jonstevensmaplegrovefarms3754 maybe it pays your bills LOL I actually have a Fisher stainless steel V plow for my pick-up. I was going to get it out for this storm, but it is buried int he back of a storage building
Beautiful to see the snow but man do I tire of pushing that stuff around. Most years I just shovel the walks and hope for warm weather to take the rest away.
At the end of the video, I give my thoughts on the two- but basically the tracked machine is better in the snow, but a wheeled machine with tire chains is better on ice. Thanks for watching!
LOL No, it is not a high flow machine. It took some getting use to. The hydraulics on the plow were set up for lower flow- like rear remotes of smaller tractor.
@@dehavenfamilyfarm it looked like that was something that would take some getting use to. I have a massey Ferguson industrial 40 and the bucket on it when you drop a load of soil or what ever when you lift the bucket back up it lifts like thst and itll slam really hard. Still haven't got use to it.
Any plow from a truck is designed for much lower pressure and gpm , only way to slow down angle would be to install adjustable valves in the hydraulic lines
@@bobcatron609 oh ok I'll be doing that cause it's a pain in the but using it flops dirt everywhere if your not expecting it. I just figured it was a bigger fix than that. Thanks for the info
@@dehavenfamilyfarm Thanks! I want a tracked machine so bad except for I have a bit of a hill on my driveway that scares me lol. Probably going to get wheels and chains but enjoyed seeing this machine work.
