If you've never ran one of these, here is a quick tutorial on how to run one. Calvary 1808 Farm is a small scale Kunekune operation located in the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
I've had my x900 for 10 months now and I love it! One thing about shifting into gear, the brake should be pressed down hard to make it easier to go into gear. If you look at the back of the machine and have someone press on the brake pedal, you will see the linkage taking the pressure off the hydrostatic transmission making it much easier to change gears. Its still not perfect but you will find it much easier to operate. Sometimes pushing the shift lever and giving it a little throttle helps. Hope this helps you. I got onto my dealer as the sales people didn’t know that either.
Thank you SO MUCH for this helpful video!! I, FINALLY, bought myself this model and it was delivered today!! I bought one with a winch since I have 105 acres to monitor...Trees are always falling down on my fence after storms! This is my first RTV, so I am very happy that you made this video for first-timers like me!! I am 62 yo female with NO experience with these vehicles. Thanks for all the helpful tips on breaking in my brand-new RTV!
@@calvary1808farm I watched your video one more time, then had a BLAST zooming around my homestead! Your tip about the gears being so stiff from being new was spot on!! The shifting was not cooperating BUT I knew exactly what to do thanks to you! Also appreciated the tip about releasing the emergency brake! Glad I came across your video! Now, if I could only come across a video that shows how to maintenance the machine, when it finally needs it...I'll be set! Happy homesteading!! 🤩
