@@darylhosker6879 I've had both and range wise I'd say it's marginally less - probably because its 1.5 pounds heavier. Overall I'd say its slower 0-10 km/h but faster above that speed. It's much better built and a smoother ride. The main downside compared to the S1 Pro is the lack of cruise control.
@@danjohnson6459 I've got a Xiaomi 1s, but I want a cheap one to bang about in the winter on, Would you say the plus is a decent scooter for the price then? Such a lack of info about these online, The aovo pro looks half decent aswell.
@@coaldust01 I think both the S1 Pro and Plus are good value. If I had to choose I'd go for the S1 Pro. It's lighter, quicker off the mark, has cruise control and is cheaper.
@@danjohnson6459 thanks for getting back, yeah the lack of cruise control is quite a big negative ain't it, are the s1 pro quite reliable then? Don't suppose you know what cells they use in their batterys do you, I'm guessing they are not LG cells at this price point, I do prefer the look of the plus tho.
Light, Small, Compact and cheerful. Good for up to 10miles normal driving. 15 if you're careful. I had one, quickly sold it and moved on to KUGOO M4 PRO 16Ah - best scooter overall you can have. TOP product.
I have been riding this model for ten days and I am very happy with it. I weigh 76 kg and I reach 25 km / h even in small climbs, on flat roads up to 30 km / h. The folding system is very easy and fast, a real pleasure. I just wish there was no beep every time you turn it on or change mode and turn on the light, but that's a detail.
@@danjohnson6459 I always use mode 3 (Max speed) and I recharge it every two uses. It's been 10 km, the light on the screen still shows 2 sticks out of 4 but in the more important dimensions, only one is displayed.
Great review Jake - liking your work. To me it looked like it got up the hill, albeit slowly. Can you recommend a scooter with a bit more power that's still under 15kg?
@Greg Turner that's good to hear, it seems to me the weak point on these cheaper scooters are the unbranded battery cells, Any probs and you could replace the battery with an LG or Samsung branded battery which would then last for ages, Definitely looks better built than the pro, Might give one a try soon. Thanks for the feedback.
You did a review of the kugoo S1 pro and said you was going 25kph uphill yet this video you say it's slow and for a child . Just wondering is this scooter kugoo S1 plus slower than the kugoo S1 Pro?
I'm wondering the same thing. I saw other reviews saying the engine is not quite powerful enough on this model. But I don't know whether this is the same for the other S1s..
On the S1 Pro your could access the settings menu fairly easily and adjust key features. For example your could change the KM/H to MP/H. Is the same possible on the S1 Plus?
Nice little cheap scooter, Bit confused as to no cruise control though? I might get one to use in London so this can get robbed instead of my Xiaomi 1s lol. Oh and I was trying to think who you remind me of then it came to me, Seth Rogan 😉
If u ever want me to review one of the scooters on a daily commute 11mile round trip shout me I'm tempted by a scooter as a back up to my e bikes I use and a whip to pop shop n so on with as I wont leave a 2.5k bike locked up outside a shop
Get one mate they are so good for short little journeys, just fold it and take in the shop with you, I used to stick a tenner in me motor and have a drive sometimes if I'm super bored, now I just whip the scooter out for a few miles probably costs about 10p lol, they really are great.
