The S1 pro isn’t that much more expensive but features a larger battery and the tyres are still solid rubber, but hollowed out in areas to compensate for the bumpy ride, and the improvement is noticeable.
You can change the back wheel for a pneumatic one and also ADJUST the back suspension!!! Also, don´t overuse the folding feature of the handles, or they´ll became looser by time, use this feature only when unavoidable (f.e. too small trunk space), but not all the time...

Thanks for the review, I have just purchased 2 from Amazon UK at £250 each, one for me and one for my son so we can race down the quiet fen and farm roads around Lincolnshire!
I bought two scooters from them, s1 and s1pro. When I took the s1 out of the box, I didn't notice any problems. But when my son started riding it, I heard a loud thud and noticed a vibration. I found that the rear wheel has a defect. I wrote about this to the support company, and they replied that this is possible if you often use the rear brake. Then I showed that the scooter had traveled only 10 km (6 miles) and during this time a good quality wheel would not be able to wear off so much. I have written to them many times that I want to return or replace this scooter. But the company did not satisfy my request. They asked to record and send them a video where the problem of the scooter is visible. After they watched it, they began to ignore me. I strongly do not recommend buying scooters of this company, you can get a lot of problems that you will fix at your own expense
You've done a great review, but it does have cc, 11kg is EXTREMELY light for a e-scooter and for commuting usually you would need something more powerful unless you live in a country where bike transportation is well adopted as this scooter will be a bad choice in traffic. I do like the warnings that you're giving like the foot stand scratching floors as this is something that I won't have the foresight for. Altogether I did enjoy your video. I don't own the A1 as my G-Booster suits my needs best.
After having two of these for 2+ years I have some 50 cents to share. First of the front fork have a very weak weld to the stem. Lift the rubber protection and you see. My son was riding when the thing came apart and the wheel folded it self under the scooter. He wasn't serious wounded but that was just a fluke. I have repaired that with strong welds on both sides of the metal. The front shocks is a joke, there is a plastic shim that the stem slides on and the fit is to tight. When riding you hammer the suspension to bottom out and it stays that way. Return spring can not press it out. I fixed this when I did the repair on the fork by grinding of some on each fasett. Battery last ok for two years then they go down i capacity fast. Rear wheel is more plastic than rubber, very hard but I suppose that have less friction on hard surfaces. However it is easy to make a flat spot if you stomp on the rear brake. After that the ride is not smooth. I prefer the solid tyres and the next gen of these have better sets front and back.
My daughter has 365 n i tried this one the other day. So much damn fun, but if you have lower back issues steer clear 2 days later and I'm still in a lot of pain sciatica
hey guys i got mine beginning of September and i use it around 4-5 times a week it takes me up a steep hill slowly as I'm 86kg but still faster than walking and onwards to work and to uni and to my dads and home on a full charge , i might have to charge it a while at my dads to get me home but only half hour r so , no issues with it absolutely banging , payed for itself already with not using public transport, wish id have bought one a time ago , no issues with light rain or wet roads and standing water , and it came with a carry bag excellent for inside uni and work , got of amazon less than £300 all in . 10-10
@@MakeUseOf I really don't think they care atm what with c19 an all tbf its the kids plonking around on them. I ride on the road and even overtaken them and nothing. As long as you use sensible ie commute and not toss about I don't think they care. I'm actually upgrading to the 4 with the 500 watt and seat. Just waiting for it to arrive. 👌😁
True that. I hear they're trialling them in london now too, so hopefully it's a sign of the times. And our glorious new "green" Bojo might be all up for electric scooters next year ;)
it has cruisie control. it can be switch on or off in options meniu ( press horn and "set"buttons for couple od seconds). also ther you can set speed limits for each "gear". and also a bit of grease for suspension shoukld be used if you want to have softer ride
I have one and use it when the weather permits to travel about 5km to work and back. Perfect for this although the legality of electric scooters is in question in the UK right now. It is great fun, though advice..., wear a safety helmet with these. The police would probably be keener to. stop you without one, and hitting the asphalt at 20km is going to be serious. I know. Nuff said. 🤕
@@MrPoliarinis Wow thanks for the quick reply. I just found out that it has CC on by default during my maiden voyage. Another question if I may: What option number determines the strength of the brakes?
@@earlofdoncaster5018 your welcome. There is no such a option for strengt of brakes. here is a list of settings: 0 - software version 1 - start from the kick ( 0 - need to kick, 1 - start from zero) 2 - (default 25 ) max speed, 3- ( default 8)diameter of tyres 4- number of magnets ( default 30) 5- max speed on 1 speed ( by percentage) 6- max speed in 2 speed ( by percentage) 7 - max speed on 3 speed ( by percentage) 8- cruise control ( 0- off, 1- on) 12 - voltage (36 - do not change) 20 - time for turning of on idle 22 - recuperation (KERS ) 0 - off, 1- on 23 - miles, kilometers ( 0 - km, 1- miles) 24- screen bringjtnes ( 0-4) 99- odometer
Excellent review..Well done! I am in the process of deciding whether to purchase one or not, although you did touch on it, my only concern is what it is like to commute in the rain and is there enough power to take a 112kg male up an incline. Your thoughts please.
Nice review. I purchased one as a second scooter for my daughter. I have a m365. Lot of scooter for your money but I find the throttle and brake too binary. Maybe I haven't got used to it but I find the m365 is much more relaxing and smooth to ride.
I have this very scooter and use it daily weather permitting. I love it. It gets lots of compliments and a few funny looks. It’s fast Sturdy and folds for easy storage. I wouldn’t be without mine.
Thomas Desmedt I personally try to avoid riding it in the rain as it’s not ideal in the wet. Both for the electrics of the scooter and the grip issue it’s riding in the rain. It would survive a light shower if you were caught out but it’s best suited to dry weather imo.
Great video very well explained and easy to understand. You have referred very well a great electric scooter easy to use and economical to buy. Thank you
I have this scooter and i went off road ing at night and the ride was great also I was out there for like an hour and the battery bar went down 1 percent it was also raining and the tyre grip was amazing my dad's kinda skidded a bit he didn't have the same scooter as me tho and the lights was also very bright.
Great Video !!! ...got mine since yesterday and my folding mechanism is totally stuck...the bolts on each side don't want to pop out....what did you do in the end to solve this problem ??? ....already have 2 carbon scooter and they fold in a second.....what can I do ??? or do I have to send it back.....
I strongly disagree about the tires. I have the M365 and it gets flat tires that are impossible to change. I prefer solid tires even if it is a harsher ride
welp I used mine for 8+ months before my battery died but I was aware it was the water that reached my rear break light and somehow had a short-circuit I believe and It only allowed me to travel half the range
MakeUseOf I ordered the scooter of thete site before watching this video so I researched it on RU-vid and all the videos are saying it’s a scam except for one person who works with them that was seems like he was payed to post it and all the comments is bad story’s about howthere orders never came or arrived faulty there’s so many that it couldn’t be just racism hope your right tho
Got the scooter today about a week after ordering came in perfect condition and was meant to take a month.also went flying over the handlebars because I thought I was cool talking a video a 30km in the first minute of riding not in the best condition at the moment.
YESSS , DEFINITELY LIKE THESE TYPE SCOOTERS , CONSIDERING THE FACT , IT HAS A SECRET , IT REACHES A REAL 3 8 MILES PER HOUR.. WITH INCREASED TORQUE ...... YESS , REAL TALK ........
I love my M365 for traveling to work. I flashed custom FW (that is what mobile apps can be usefull BTW :D) and it ride very well. 12,5 kg should be no problem for men, but my GF complaining a lot about this weight... I plan to buy M365 PRO and add extra batery. 25 600 mAh and 60 km of range is awesome :D.
Thanks I live in a place with not many smooth surfaces and a lot Of hills.I was thinking of getting one I don't have a car ,it was this or a bicycle. But its sounds heavy. One thing can you use it just like a regular one when its not charged.
Can anyone help me so I’ve had my scooter for a couple of weeks it worked perfectly but one night it just randomly stopped charging and won’t charge on any charger please can someone help me
theres a secret settings menu where you can set litteraly every thing, the firmware is good, you can set coltage from 24, 36 and 48v, i get 50km in speed 2 on 24v,
I have one and I love... Totally addictive... HOWEVER... ILLEGAL TO USE ON ROADS, BIKE PATHS, ANY PUBLIC PLACE. In UK... A fine of up to £300..and if you have a driving license you could lose 6 points... Never been stopped as yet but after the first recorded death last week in England, laws may be enforced more rigorously. Shame we can't seem to organise a segregated road system for bikes and scooters, away from larger vehicles, similar to Holland. I bought an electrics bike, which is legal, but consider this somewhat more risky to be honest. Still reduces my carbon footprint, which was my original motive.
@@MakeUseOf not kidding i went past a police car today and he had his window open and i said hi lol and he said i like your scooter, that i did not expect
@@protectyourneck3042 sorta a deal killer than as in Northern England I could go to shop in it and its fine I'll come out and it will be pouring it down Is their a solution to that?
Kugoo s1 pro speed not 30 km/h. It max 25-26 km. And battery durable max 22-24 km after full charge. It is not water protected. My schooter has entered water and stopped. I communicated with seller and they told do not use in rainey season. It's not fair. My country has 7 months rain and snow. I do not like this toy schooter.
You might need to shift it into the highest speed mode, it comes initially in beginner mode. Should be the main button on the display. Also, depends how heavy you are of course, but should get higher than that.
Ive had it for 7 months now… everything worked great until the battery broke… havent got an new battery for 3 months and the handle bar is broken! I do not recommend this scooter… it’s very shaky and feels really cheap. It sounds so much when u drive and the suspension is shit… the only good thing is that the power is great… don’t buy it save up for a better scooter trust me.
Did you get to choose which warehouse it comes from, and which shipping method? Express would be with you within a week, but "standard shipping" by boat from China would be a month or two. If you chose a european warehouse, that should be quick.
After 6 rides, my scooter will not run. I have been emailing for a few days and have received no response. A complete rip off. Crappy product and no customer service. I'll revise if I hear from them, but I don't have high hopes. Very sad. I need the scooter for transportation and I can't afford to lose so much money. I don't know what I'm going to do. Buyer beware.
Sorry to hear that, Patrice. Not our experience at all, but is the charger ok? Does the LED light up to indicate it's got power/charging? It could just be the battery is dead and the charger not working, which is easy to replace (you shouldn't have to, of course, but it's easy enough to fix)
@@MakeUseOf Not the case. Charger is fine, light was fine... I have been exchanging emails with them and they're trying to get me to fix it myself by sending me photos of the wiring but the pictures they're sending do not match the wiring that is in my scooter. It's clear that the wiring was hastily assembled and crammed in without much care. There is fusing that does not allow me to disconnect the wiring like they're asking me to do, there is tape where there should not be tape... the innards are a mess. MEANWHILE, they will not guide me toward a repair shop, they won't take responsibility and are claiming that I did not send a video of the non-functioning scooter therefor I should withdraw a dispute with PayPal. The truth is, I sent two. I am at my wits end and will never buy from them again and feel obligated to spread the word.
@@MakeUseOf how does this make sense when i see many people riding there electric scooters on the main road etc lol i think its just one of the laws where police dont give a fuck
@@podcastsforus It's a dumb law, for sure, more because our laws haven't caught up to the technology than because they're being specifically targetted. There is pressure to legalise them, but I certainly wouldn't want to risk a £300 fine or penalty points on my license: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/electric-scooters-legal-ride-uk-roads-law-protest-downing-street-a9038016.html
rattles over every bump after 3-weeks it virtually was unsafe it's underpowered the handlebars rattle, it's like a kid's toy, it does 4 or 5 mph uphill, my son's 365 pro does 13 mph up the same hill, every video that doesn't have music shows the scooter rattles, it does 12 miles at the most on speed 2
In the UK, electric scooters are classified as motor vehicles, which are “powered vehicles”. To use these vehicles, vehicles need to pay taxes and purchase insurance, and vehicle users also need to have a driver's license. In addition, the UK's Highways Act of 1835 stipulates that the sidewalks on the road are unique to pedestrians and that no vehicles, including scooters, must appear on them. Currently in the UK only electric scooters (e-scooter) are allowed on private land and are prohibited from being used on public roads and sidewalks. Police catch you, they will charge you and scooter will get seized and never returned. You will go to court and get a big fine. Better off buying a mobility scooter since they are legal and can do 15Mph.
Do not complain about the weight! The chinese will take notice and produce a complete piece of shit that is 30% lighter but breaks down fast. That is not what we want.
Good value, though ill stay on my Gotway TESLA EUC. Range 70km (at around 30-35km/h as i weigh 90Kg) top speed 50km/h...though dont try this unless you know about the warning signals ;-) Normally i cruise at 40-43km/h to be on the safe side.
The typical "oh great review" then proceeds to "ill stick with my brag brag brag" get out the house and go have fun instead of feeling like you need to brag about your much better scooter to everyone
@@redmdc I personally feel that EUC riders have good reason to brag, I mean, have you tried riding them? Practically impossible to stay upright and they'll throw you off at every opportunity. They're basically one-wheeled high-speed death machines! 😁
