"Nigeria....doing Politics without Science"...is like Thinking without a Brain. Father Mathew Kukah couldn't be more apt. It's the grace of God that's kept this highly revered man of God alive. He is so consistent, you're always sure what to expect.....may the hand of God continue upon him. Unlike the many other church leaders who "romance" these politicians. If we had all church leaders taking this stance against government, Nigeria would have been out of the doldrums decades ago. But 98% of them speak from both sides of their mouths. That is why the church is ineffective in Nigeria.
A country blessed with great men and women like Bishop Kukah being governed by a group of illiterates. May the Lord continue to guide and grant him good health and protection. Happy 70th BD.
Before we all start to sing the praises of the Bishop we should not lose sight of the fact that it was his generation that destroyed Nigeria. Where was he when fela was fighting the establishment for change. Medicine after death is bad medicine
Ruben Abati is not updated in his reasoning. The permutations of This day Newspaper ignored the influence of young people, just as Nigerian politicians have done. To a large, extent, the young people will decide who the Next President will be. This gives Peter Obi a clear advantage. Thank you Bishop Kukah for spotting out the influence of young people
Bishop Kukah should be drafted to run for the position of the President of Nigeria. He will undoubtedly change the wrong direction that Nigeria is heading. He is very LEARNED, KNOWLEDGEABLE and WELL-SPOKEN. May the Almighty God Bless Him and keep him healthy the next 40 years.
Happy birthday to a great Cleric. The Lord will continue to empower, energize and reward your passion with Manifestation of your expectation on from this GENERATION IJMN
I just salute this man for his courage. Practicing Christianity in a Islamic dominated area is very challenging based on Islamic views of other religions. The only place in the world where Islam could not change the pple to radicalism is yoruba land and the remain an example and pple from other parts of the world needs to go and learn from them. Bishop kukah despite me having my reservations about his stands on justice and equity I still respect his courage. I have been hearing many Islamic cleric preaching against him in the north and still he keep standing.
Happy birthday Rt. Rev. Mathew Hassan Kukah, Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese in Nigeria....May God bless and reward you with much wisdom to walk intelligently in your pastoral and shepherding work in Christendom.... To commend the present regime in some areas may not be in populists' view but only you know the reason because nobody would be good if God were to be a judge.
I love Bishop kukah. He is a great man, unlike those people that are supporting Atiku. If you are supporting Atiku, then you are one of those promoting injustice in Nigeria. How can another Fulani man succeed the current president who is also a Fulani? Is that fair in a country of over 250 ethnic groups? Is Nigeria now a Fulani republic?
A man of 70years old sounds very vocal and his acclaimed age mate, the APC presidential candidate could not slip off an ordinary written paper shit given to him, not talk of standing for 10 to 20 minutes without looking for a helper or an additional adjustment to keep him standing Nigeria how did we get here?
Even here in America most people do not even THINK of a government job when they are applying for a job, no matter how much it pays. And that is evidence of a well-organized society. Nigeria should aim to be like that.
Tell that to Abati. No more doing interviews on the comfort zones of the money bags. And PeterObi is dragged to every corner of a media houses for tough questionings.
Happy birthday to you sir, thank you for all you do for mankind by always standing in the path of truth. At 70 you still look much younger than someone whose age is still questionable and running for the office of the President of Nigeria.
Congratulations sir. My issue is we always blame govt only but spare Nigerians. We lack LOVING each other! These are kind of religious leaders we need in Nigeria. Not a former CAN president that always political when he talks. A lot of GOs of our churches need to learn from this great man of God. Arise good job!!!
When you see the truth and say the truth only the truth can set you free. Truth maks one to be free and young as Bishop looks amazing and young every time. Happy birthday to you
One of the "big guests" at Bishop Kukah's 70th birthday said he is 70years too. Well, no argument about that because we were not present at his birth. But, just take a good close look at Bishop Matthew Kukah.. Does the mind tell you anything about the "big guest" who is also 70years old as Bishop Matthew Kukah?
It's high time Nigerians begin to think out of box of tribal, ethnic or religious sentiment when it comes to our political leadership. Let's put our best foot forward.
Happy birthday sir. May your days be fulfilled as your Lord has called you to. Please Bishop, endure to bring back history into our educational curriculum.
The Nigeria problem is that majority of Northern Muslim Fulanis/Kingsmen are tribalistic and when they see ppl like our cherished BSP Kukah speaks, they always feel threatened and rattle…We lov u, sir..Happy Birthday to u in advance again by the special grace of God….
If Bishop Kukah is 70 years old and he still looks very young and energetic likewise Charlyboy, the Area Father, who is 72 years old this year; brethren how old is Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is really looking old and tired still having massive resources at his disposition to take care of himself. Has Bola Tinubu not committed perjury for swearing an oat that he is 70 years this year? In fact, I can't understand the APC candidate.
Equity and justice in Nigeria! Under muhammadu buhari administration, score was ZERO. How can a system not include the populace in DIASPORA who send home millions of USD every day in the voting process. This group are about 20-30% of the 210 million populace.
I feel disgusted when people who have been on the receiving end of the injustice that's Nigeria speak in a manner to appease or be politically correct. Bishop Kuka is highly respected but how come he finds it difficult to condemn the Muslim/Muslim ticket of the APC? How come he believes that all the candidates that have emerged have the capacity to lead Nigeria out of the woods. As sound and cerebral as Bishop Kuka is, will he be proud to introduce some one like Tinubu as his President. Does he believe that Tinubu, in his current state has what it takes to rescue Nigeria? Does he not think that Shettima and the Northern cabal will hijack power from him and consign him to irrelevance since he would be spending most of his time at the hospital overseas? We must begin to say the truth without minding whose ox is gored
Father, please forget about a working Nigeria with these kind of leaders and orientation given to the younger ones. Let all of us separate peacefully and have international cooperation and mutual respect for one another.
If we all know what the problems are and how to solve them, why can’t we just do it?!? To paraphrase the Kung Fu Panda, “Enough Talk! Let’s Move!” . Love Bishop Kukah tho and love my country. Vote Peter Obi / Datti Baba-Ahmed.
Why don't they include high cost of governance in their discussions? Or dont they know it's a cankerworm that has eaten deep into our dear country called NIGERIA 🥺
My lordship Bishope kukar. May you continue to age gracefully in good health of mind , body and soul. Amen.🙏Glory be yo God. There are 2 very bitter fact cleverly being ignored by our great men and women who feel pained about the killings of our innocent people all over nigeria. 1: That the word one Nigeria is a scam. 2. That there should be no election with out first conducting a referendum. We should stop deceiving our selves that we are one. If this land must be called nigeria, there should be no election without conducting a referendum first. A country where the indigenous people are called slaves by aliens and the aliens call them selves born to rule? If not, tell me why an Atiku should come up now to context?. A Cameroonia ; why did he not employ 1/2 nigerian in the houses he built with our money in Dubai?.A country were "aliens" are blood tasty, have no value for humam lives and cherish slaughtering of innocent human beings?. O no, the center can no longer hold. From happenings, these aliens have shown us that they have another home inview. Buhari Spent our God given resources to better niger republic while our children are jobless , out of school for over 8 months just staying home ? . Food for thought. Enough is enough ooooo.
Dr Abati you got your match , was your questioned well ventilated . Rev Kukah was very cerebral and resisted your capacity to question your guests. You need to bring back
I will be 78 years old soon. I was baptized in 1956 in Catholic church. Father Kukha like other Christians are still alive by turnning the other check among the Muslims. Christians don't preach the statement of Jesus where he warned his followers that those who do not have a sword should sell their shoe to buy one. Muslims and Christiians can't make a peaceful nation. "Thou Shall not steal, thou shall not kill" If these are too difficult to obey, then why are we called humans. Some Christian pastors went to praise and pray for a particular traditional ruler, the so-called Oba Ewuare of Benin who ordered his palace cult members to bring an old man to his palace, forced him to drink some poisonous liquid that killed the old man later. Happy birthday at 70, but come to the south and leave the north for their blood-tasty jihadists.
When we are ready to tell ourselves the truth that only when when Nigeria we move forward. Now we are talking about new president when the one we have on ground still have nearly one year to go. How can a country be handed over to one man and other citizens become helpless watching one taking decisions that is ruining the country. Anything that makes such possible is what we should be talking about not long grammar.
The Fulani mechinery simply reduced something as serious as nation building to who sits around the cooking jar.First,it was the British that interfered and tampered with our organic evolution by pegging the Peoples' Parliament and (Puppet ) Prime Minister,Tafawa Balewa, at their flag independence,to the puppeteer Emperor Constantine Ahmadu Bello, the great, of Sokoto Caliphate,a rogue invader from Futa Jalon which is in Senegal while the Caliphate itself was tied to the British Crown. This was bursted in 1966 by Nzeogwu and war broke out. After the war, the Caliphate was disgraced back to its original stolen base at Sokoto for overstretching and playing God then the Parliamentary System was replaced by the Presidential System in '79.Then came the military interregnum.Another heavy scam came, the 1999 Military Constitution. The evil Fulani Military Oligarchy of which Obasanjo is a card-carrying member gave Nigerians a repackaged Oligarchy as democracy as against the repackaged Monarchy given by the evil British at independence. The war ended the repackaged Monarchy, what would end this repackaged Oligarchy as democracy is an unprecedented ANARCHY never witnessed before in the history of mankind. What is happening in Libya and Somalia would be a child's play. After the anarchy, then a true peoples' Constitution and democracy would be ushered in.
Republic of Biafra, a secessionist state. Republic of Tigray, a secessionist state. Republic of Oromia, a secessionist state. Republic of Somaliland, a secessionist state. Republic of northern Cape, a secessionist state. western powers must make happen those to recolonize Africa.
I don't believe Rufai supports Atiku, but I know Abati support Atiku. Bishop Kukah does not support Atiku. I think Rufai is rational and support the best, which is Obi. Rufai is trying to keep his job, by not speaking against Atiku. The establishment and Abati support Atiku, and Rufai is playing safe
Bishop, Abati is a PDP supporter so all these your idea of justice doesn’t make sense to him. He and boss Nduka Obiagbonea who wants same corrupt Atiku on Nigerians.
Kukah you are lamenting for the killings of Christians , then wait until Tinubu and Shetima comes into power....and for you to commend Buhari administration for doing well except on security.....with all due respect, you have been compromised
He has never been and he will never be, If you know the deliberate attempt to kill and silence this man over the years you will know his importance. I'm a catholic and I forever remain grateful for his support of Catholics and Christians in the North.
All this thinks you are saying is true but what I want to ask you is what are you still doing in that so call Sokoto eh eh.we are tired of Nigeria let us go our own ways please
There are Christians in sokoto too bro, so calm down. He's a bishop and therefore he's the chief shepard of his church in sokoto, he has protected many Christian's in the north since time immemorial. That's why we celebrate him
@@peterchukwu8108 I'm from delta but currently residing in zaria. for Christians in the North kukah is not just a bishop, he's a shield for Christian's over here, there are so many Christians living in the north and this is what a lot of people in the south don't understand, even in my community here, there are indigenes that have been Christians for over 50 years... There are equally other minority tribes in the North that a majority Christians. Examples are Jukun in taraba and Jos ( tribe of MI and Jesse jagz) , bachama in adamawa state and even in Borneo where there are killings there are so many Christians in the north that I'm even forced to believe that the ratio of muslims to Christians in the north is actually 60 to 40%, unlike the 70 to 30% most people claim.
Speaking English as a Nigerian shows that Nigerian are still under colonial master. Take English language out of Nigeria if Nigerian people can interact as a country. Until kingdom come, Nigeria cannot be good. The best is to call for the dissolution of the amalgamation of Nigeria and indigenous peoples should go their separate ways.
But why are you writing in English? Come up with a new tablet or alphabet. Without the English language you will be cave men. Start with the arabic language then, and let'see you destination thousand year from now. Nigeria is a nation of too many primitive professors.
I disagree with you Bishop Kukah on the frontline candidates for 2023 Presidency, not all are eminently qualified to be President of Nigeria. It is Political and diplomacy talks like this that has kept us where we are. By the way,Bishop Kukuh is part of Nigerian political elite, though a clergy.
