Kurapika is a smart character, he wouldnt just enter a fight knowing he maybe has a chance to win. He knew from the very beginning that he doesn't stand a chance Vs him, he captured him once tested his chance and nen on him. Kurapika in this state could most probably defeat every troupe member except Chrollo.

@@mjhmab he did, but he caught him by suprise. In an open 1vs1 fight it would be a whole different story. Chrollo is probably stronger, but Kurapika made so much progress in so little time. It's really unbelievable that he can most probably 1vs1 every troupe member except Chrollo. It will be interesting seeing how his story progresses. Hopefully we won't be waiting too long for a new season.

@@rRekkobut Uvo has good reason, he’s not just come Cold mass murderer. he’s someone who’s broken & killing because of that reason, carrying & trying to salvage a burden with chrollo.

If he spend 10 minuts, he Lost 25 days of his life. I believe the fight spend more than 600 seconds.

No one wants to live old, at least i dont, so being supreme in my youth i would gladly accept that over old age discomforts

@@ichiroutakami4189 Uvo was not a liar. During the fight he confirmed they fought and killed the kurta, he even said they gave a good fight.

@@B_Shit06 In short, he shortens his life using emperor time. And the ratio is something like 12 hours of usage = 5 years of life. But that is only a part of a problem. The other part is that under certain conditions he is not able to turn off the ability. That is why I love HxH. The balance. To have broken abilities you must risk your life or have a complex set of conditions to activate it.

Kurapika is no weakling by any means, his conditions simply make him unbeatable versus the troupe, but his specialist power alone makes him an incredibly powerful opponent in the hxh universe

@@zir456 He can use emperor time whenever he wants, and the only ability that he can't use on anyone besides the troupe is chain jail, and maybe little finger. So he is definitely OP

Bro the penalty is discussed in length when you read the manga. It is that every second he spends in Emperor Time shortens his life by an year or something close. (Which is why he constantly tells his opponent not to waste his time and go all out from the beginning so he can verify his hypothesis and get it over with as quick as possible) So, if you ask me it is a crazy ability but the drawbacks are crazy too.

That's one of his riskiest abilities though. If he passes out while the ability is lent to someone, he might never wake up.

He knew this dude was a straight enhancer, so it would be a straightforward win.

Kurapika can't steal powers though, specialist doesn't mean you can just steal powers of others

Did he already have that ability here? Anyway stealing uvo's big bang fist isn't very useful it's just a strong enhancer punch

@@way2dawn853 I don't see a reason why Chain Jail shouldn't be able to restrain a Phantom Troupe Adult Gon. It's just that Gon would be too fast to actually get caught in it and would blitz Kurapika before he even knows what happened.

@@yennox5338 again: because it doesnt chain any spider 100% It just uses zetsu on em He even says it in this fight: you have to escape using physical strenght He only restricted uvogin so far so we can only assume everyone weajer than uvogin wouldnt be able to break out (like he also says here) Adult gon is either the #1 or #2 strongest physical character introduced so far If hed only be slightly steonger than uvogin ok But hes probably AT LEAST 2-3 times as physical strong as him

His Scarlet Eyes (Emperor Time), Dowsing Chain, Healing Thumb, Judgment Chain, and Steal Chain can work on anyone. In the manga, he's already up against new opponents.

Did you even watch the video ? 🤣 He is use his "Time Emperor" 20% power is only bruises each other with same enchantment is fair 🤦‍♂️ 100% power broke kurapika hand, since it was all out attack so imposible to block that This is Hunter x Hunter not One piece nakama power 💀 Pay attention or you miss something

@@_Cfocus still bro I would argue that the phantom troupe has some of the strongest human fighters f.ex. Chrollo and if they say Uvo's strength is by far the highest out of these people I would also think that it's definitely on par with some of the strongest characters we've at least met so far in the anime. F.ex. strength wise it could be on the level of Neteros strength. It was very early in the show so most people just think the first antagonists are weaker than the next but that's not the case. Like I said look at Uvo's strength in retrospect to all the characters and tell me it is logical that he didn't completely fuck up Kurapika. Kurapika is a small and thin boy that knows about Nen for about 6 Months when he fights him and I don't think it is good story writing when you just make him literally beat the strongest of the members with one try, no injuries and seemingly little effort. Very much the only thing I dislike about HxH tho.
