Indeed! It's even more ironic than the russıan government repeatedly calling Ukrainians 'Not Zees', whilst simultaneously russıa _once again_ ínvades Europe & _once again_ attempts to ethnıcaIIy cIeanse their peaceful neighbours - simply for considering joining their local NATOhood Watch to protect themselves from *_him._*
@@Naptosis not to take russias side , i do have some things to dislike on her , but when did russia "invaded europe" ? because nato expanded more than russia while murica participated in over 100 wars and politics in the last century
@dh1380 Dude, that's just humans, period. Most people don't want exciting lives. People want a lot of boredom with dashes of excitement; not a war on their doorstep.
Could they have peace AND western standards, they would likely appretiate it. Just they likely do not trust the situation. Putin could be back, and then???
@camelthegamer7165 I was referring to the depopiticised nature of Russians. Of course human beings want to be left alone, but I was referring to something much more embedded in the Russian pysche than exists in many other nations
The Americans provided thousands of tanks, trucks and locomotives to keep the Sovietunion afloat. Without Americans land-lease it would have been a different game.
@@TorianTammasNot just America. Britain supplied a vast amount of equipment and many of the cargo ships. A lot of sailors died delivering equipment on the Arctic Convoys.
@@felixalbion Not to speak about the risk both took sending convoys via the Arctic. The whole operation was short of miraculous. Just for the Soviets do what they do best and steal the credit from anybody. I bet in Putin's new revised books it says that Putin himself went to get the stuff swimming all the way to the USA after using his time-travel superpower.
Some people called it Newkraine. But since Putin wanted to take Ukraine, Ukraine might as well call the land Mykraine or Ourkraine. Edit: Ukraine's Mykraine would be Putin's migraine.
Kursk technically belonged to Ukraine before so they are just taking back what is theirs. Like they will with Crimea some day. Russias reaction to this will be hilarious.
@@yorkshire_tea6875 Not quite that extreme, more like the USA ceding the Northwest Angle to Canada for practical reasons, though that would anger the local inhabitants a lot more than Kursk going to Ukraine.
@@apveening That situation works well too. If Ukraine even wants Kursk the holding a UN supervised vote would most likely be enough. Just saying it used to be Ukrainian probably not enough
Tragic requires sympathy. Even Gollum was tragic. Even Jaws was just a wild animal. Russia is just a villain. It has no arc, no renaissance, The cold hard dark side of the world. Always has been.
Ukraine condemns Russia for doing holding referendums in contested land during a war because it's against international law, is it a good idea for Ukraine to then do that? Isn't that legitimising what Russia did, or at least making a joke of it?
Actually no german(at least around me) is caring about the pipeline, the only thing that is caring about this are some news and the internet. Maybe there are some industies that are mourning about rising energie prices around some cents. I got the feeling that more people in our coutry are happy that the russen have lost some pressure levers on us. So lets go ukraine, wish you the best to get your peace and freedom.
Exactly. Nordstream was simply something that Russia could take away once you were reliant on it. They'd use it as a pressure point whenever they needed leverage. The move towards European autarky and renewable energy is a smart one. I hate how far away the US is from the rest of the world. Our isolation gives us a false sense of security and superiority. So many right wingers here want to leave Russia free to rampage through Europe. They'd celebrate it, in fact.
The nordsteam was just a dealer giving a junkie a fix, Piped straight into German veins. At any time the dealer could jack up the price or stop it all together.
Agree. Whenever "whatabout Nordstream" comes up, one can be sure it's a russian propagandist. They are the only ones still care about it. Putin had stopped the gas via Nordstream I to Germany BEFORE the explosion and Nordstream II was never working. Gazprom/Gasdeal was dead the moment Putin decided to use it as blackmail in his war.
🇬🇧 For such tiny little islands, so far away from the front lines, it's absolutely hilarious how terrified the russıan government and their propagandists are of us, and of our assistance to Ukraine 🇺🇦! 🤣
🇬🇧 was literally the largest empire that the world has ever seen. Freeing the colonies didn't mean giving up all power .. London rivals New York to be the global financial centre. When colonialism ended the US undermined a lot of 🇬🇧 plans, forcing them to give up control of more than the planned to. Losing the Suez etc, but it's still far from being a few little islands. The UK has the 6th largest economy in the world: controlling around 2.5% of world GDP compared to Russia's 2.0% before the 2022 invasion.
Russia should fear the British! For almost a year and a half Great Britain stood up against the Nazis and successfully repulsed their attacks on their Homeland and their territories in the Middle East. Great respect to the British people and their military for being able to keep a giant bully from imposing their will on them. Not only did stand firm against the Nazis they did it alone! Well with the help of some of their Commonwealth countries but the key is the British Commonwealth stood against the Nazis alone.
@@markus717 Indeed it does. Vietnam War, for example, caused a major upheaval back in the US and, instead of just locking people up or sending dissidents to a warzone as punishment, they had to abandon the venture.
Thank you for all your informative videos always true and straight to the point ☝️ thanks Arthur. Slava Ukraine.❤❤ Prayers to all the victims of tyranny.
36C outdoor temps and 6km/hr continuous wind, and those are just natural weather conditions probably make it impossible to contain the spread of fire to adjacent tanks. The daily forecast doesn't account for localized effects produced at the oil storage site.
Centralia is a town in Pennsylvania USA that developed an underground coal fire in a mine in 1962 that is still burning, and is expected to for around 250 years. The town and surrounds were evacuated and the roads re-routed. The fire makes the ground unstable and leaks toxic gasses, so no one can live there. Burning Mountain in Australia has been burning underground for estimated 6,000 years. One of the mass extinguished of the world was at the end of the Permian epoc. Volcanic activity ignited a coal seam under Siberia that burnt for thousands of years, killing 90% of all marine life on the planet in the Great Dying
It's crazy how a weak dictator talks about bravery and toughness, when all he has ever done is TALK AND HIDE BEHIND A DESK in his KGB or FSB office. HE IS NO WARRIOR! It makes me laugh when a coward talks tough and hides in their concrete bunker. Stop 🛑 it! Just noticed his behaviors and I have my opinions of his actions. All he does is AGGRESSION & EVIL! Great video Artur! I wish that the borders can be restored to 1991 status and for the war to stop. I appreciate you and your work! Thanks for the video 📸.
Russia's economy is 2% of the world. USA is 25%. Holding out against Ukraine with US backing for 2 years is not weak. You can prefer that Ukraine wins without stooping to saying stupid things about Russia.
@OKEAHKPACA-pd1gl Putin is 71 years old. The life expectancy of a male born in 1952 in the Russian federation is 56 years. A sensible thing for him to avoid unnecessary contact.
@@sixgunsymphony7408 Or he's in politics, reminds me of an old senate meeting back in the hippie's time. "How do you ask someone to be the last to die in a war?" "Senator, with all due respect, how do you ask someone to be the first?"
A referendum in Kursk comes after the war, when Ukrainian troops can finally withdraw and go home. That’s when they can choose to stay Russian, become independent or join Ukraine, without the threat of troops standing there while they vote. That’s the right way to do it.
Hey Artur. You are doing a service to many. People around the world need viewpoints like yours, we all suffer from media that peddles influence depending on who owns it. As Ground News so excellently points out for us. Truth with some spice, and some laughs, and no bulls_it, we love you man. Slava Ukraine
The operation in the south is clearly British. A Russian soldier heard one of the enemy saying "shaken, not stirred". And they wore clearly British uniforms: Bowler hats and smart suits with umbrellas. Clearly British, no doubt. They also reported seeing a German unit in Lederhosen and dancing to a polka band.
As a Brit I love how much the Russians over-estimate both our levels of cunning and intelligence prowess, and delude themselves that we're both still playing The Great Game because we're both still Great Powers
Well, these trucks can take up to a company of soldiers. Once the whole 96 men were packed into one such truck, the worst ride of my life. After we arrived into the destination most of the soldiers either could barely walk, or couldn't walk at all. I was lucky, only 2 soldiers were sitting on top of my knees, my friend has 4 guys sitting on him and i had to literally help him stand up and walk out of the truck
If they could get over a hundred thousand voats they would pretty much have the controlling votes for democracy. There's less than a million people there right now. So they would represent a major as electoral block for the area. Isn't that how Russia claim part of Ukraine? Through the exact same process.
Yes, but only if you count forcing people to "vote" at gunpoint after being "persuaded" to leave their homes by a Russian with a loud hailer and an armed escort as a legitimate vote, then seeing "counters altering votes they don't like. An election that only Belarus, Iran & N Korea recognise.
For a moment, I assumed you were explaining Medvedev's disappearance. In Russia, there are punishments for failure more terrifying than the window treatment, such as rehab.

That was no security holding that drunked dude, it was Nicolas Sarkozy (former french president) and Silvio Berlusconi (former italian prime minister) 🤣
“To all the initiators and patrons of Nord Stream 1 and 2. The only thing you should do today about it is apologise and keep quiet,” Donal Tusk (Polish Prime Minister) wrote on the social media portal X this Saturday 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Artur, The right mix of battle news with behind the scenes strategic posturing, with bad and good news in realistic measure, all delivered with reverent humour; you are my go-to news cast when I want my mood to be lifted but also hear it as-it-is. Great job.
Russia cant bare the fact they been humiliated so bad they underestimate Ukraines ability to make a great plan. They blame the British intelligence to make their ppl feel Russia is fighting not just Ukraine.
As a Brit, part of my admiration for Ukraine is the way they fight this war with the level of skill, cunning, and determination that I remember from our stories of WWII. I am quite sure that Syrskiy, Budanov, and the rest of the staff are quite capable of coming up with these cunning plans. I do hope that they will write their memoirs after the victory, I'm sure they have some great stories.
@@alexandermonro6768Not to mention that under todays technology (drones, Internet, etc) that they are literally rewriting the rules daily. The West will have lots to absorb from this war going forward.
Cunning plans? The Kursk invasion is a brilliant and well planned and executed plan. Sending small groups of commandos to sow doubt and fear all along the border was something I could have organized. And I am not even a military man. Russians are just liars regardless
Ukraine plans depend on intelligence and money. Access to satellite etc _is_ from their allies. Acting like Russia is silly to fear UK is bizarre. In 1994, when Ukraine agreed to become a permanent nuclear buffer zone between Russia and Europe, the treaty with them was signed by Russia, USA, UK. UK's economy is 2.5% of the world's GDP: compared to Russia's 2.0% before the 2022 invasion. UK is a nuclear power, has an advanced military. 🇬🇧 had literally the largest empire the world has ever seen, and didnt give up all the power when colonialism ended.
11:00 It is not just Medvedev but also Peskov the spokesperson of Putin....he is nowhere to be found, they say he is on vacation during the times of Russia getting invaded.
It should. You don't invade a country for 3+ years and walk away with no territorial losses. I see Ukraine fully retaking Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, and any territory they fortify. If not all, then probably just Kursk since it was first. Though I'm sure they'd be fine with having just their sovereign territory back. We'll see though.
When Putin annexed parts of Ukraine I suggested that Ukraine should annex Russia. Putin lies to the population of Russia. This is not governance, this is hijacking a nation. The so-called Russian people should be liberated. The people of the land of Russia should wake up and know that they are under a dictator who has stolen their lives. There is no Russia at the moment. The people of the land area of Ur-asia can, with love and understanding, be de-briefed, (after Putin hits the ground or has a long sleep after tea-time), by broad-minded Ukrainians and brought into a prosperous East-European alliance of states.. United States of Asia? ..Whatever it might be called, its capital should be Kiev, and it must have a constitution so constructed so that the sovereignty of The People is guaranteed.. even if this means guns for all.
There CURRENTLY is a gas pipeline IN Ukraine and it is transmitting gas THROUGH Ukraine to Europe. It is STILL transmitting gas and Gastrim is paying someone in Ukraine, the agreement expires this year and is not supposed to be renewed.
That gas goes to the European allies that have been providing assistance and military equipment. They probably don’t want t to bite the hand d that feeds them.
its not a conspiracy. Everyone knows Ukraine can control the flow of Russian gas through its own land and everyone knows its going to Europe. Everyone's knowledge of this is a card that Ukraine has to play
Well considering that Schröder (a former Chancellor of Germany) worked well past February 2022 in a very high position in Gazprom and considering Northstream was started under him you could imagine why the Germans are that keen of getting them. Schröder only very begrudgingly resigned from his cumfy Gazprom job when the German media, public and the USA threatened to put him on the sanction list!
Dunkin Madickiner made a glorious mention at the end. Very nice. Also, very nice content Artur. I appreciate the work you put in to include the links to the stories you report. Well done!
