So...I see a post about Petrenkos birthday and I saw his 92 world's performance posted and I'm like he landed 5 triples. After watching this routine even without a second triple axle I think browning would have won this under today's scoring .

I don't agree. Petrenko's and Brownig's performance is technically not excellent but Petrenko one is better

The technical notes are too high for his performance.

Popped double axle, two-foot landing, no triple-triple, touch down, other shaky landings, and he's acting all, "Yea, I nailed it!" I understand that it was a personal victory just staying on his feet after the Olympic disappointment just a couple months earlier, but his marks are too generous here. I have to believe some sympathy played into that.

This World Championships was wacky. It seemed that everybody who was a big name got very high scores for performances that were not their very best. Love Kurt. Love Tonya Harding's skating. But both of them received quite high scores for the performances they gave. Still. I'm glad Kurt gave a good one here with 7 (if flawed) triples. He was happy. I'm sure he was a bit surprised by the 2 5.6's for Artistic Impression. Despite the errors, I always loved this choreography and how he interpreted the music.

1:09 Although the lutz was his least favourite jump, the one he executes here is flawless. I'm most impressed by the way he taps with his free foot. He uses his big toe (and not the pinky toe) to vault which is harder because you don't pre-rotate your lower body, unlike the cheated technique that the Eteri girls use with their flip and lutz jumps.

I never understood why the costumes were so bulky. You think they understood a thing or two about aerodynamics.
