Easily my most listened to artist of the last 5 years. KV is just unreal. Found him in 2011/12 and the streak of albums he has put out in that decade......they will be with me for life.....i NEVER tire of them or his catalog. This is so fantastic, this cover is new to me, but exactly as you'd imagine it.

When I've listened to Kurt do a song like "I'm an Outlaw," I've always thought vocally, he reminded me of an indie-rock Tom Petty. When I actually hear him do a Petty song, I hear the similarities less, but I appreciate it just the same. Talented dude 👏

I heard this on my trip back to horrible Texas from Colorado and completely fell in love with the world of Kurt Vile. This was only a few days ago and it's kind of mind blowing to see all of his works that completely went under my radar. Thank you Kurt for doing what you do and for reigniting some sort of inspiration in me. You have taken a great song and actually added so much to it. This so warm and has something magical that I can't put my finger on. This is how any cover should be, or else it is better off destroyed!

I agree that most people are dumb and say dumb things, but art critics are just as important as the artists. Everyone should be playing both roles as much as possible without shame or apprehension. As we contribute more and more to this process, we grow as individuals and press humanity to new grounds. Imagine if everyone actually listened to this advice throughout history.
