"We used to run the ball with the Rams" Orlando Pace and Marshall Faulk definitely helped with that.

*Caleb Williams deep ball throws were his college marquee plays, he thrived in making those throws look routine, he's NFL underthrows and overthrows tells me that his mentally pressing now because the NFL stage, his over desire to make those plays and the intensity of eyeballs on him are much greater than in college and he can sense it, it's like having someone looking over your shoulder while doing your job, it can be unnerving until you get use to the situation. Playing comfortable and natural will come in due time, then those down field throws will become connections that were familiar routine throws.*

Would have loved to have heard him explain more about the difference between week 2 and week 3. He was slightly more accurate this week (63%) compared to week 2 (62%) and even hit more deep balls than he had in any of the two previous, yet he thought he took a step back.

The man is a rookie that’s played 3 NFL games. Lol 😅 Mfs aren’t allowed to grow anymore. It takes YEARS for QBs to settle in and be consistently good. Occasionally you luck up and find an anomaly. But I don’t know why anyone that claims they know this game is this disappointed in a guy that’s played 12 quarters of meaningful pro football. That’s actually what’s disappointing to me. 😅 Take away the Hail Mary and he’s still over 300 yards. How many rookies have throw for 300+ yards in one of their first 3 starts? Probably not many. If he looks the same in a year then you got me but based on the fact he seems to improve a little every week I think he’s doing fine.

I think Caleb is definitely pressing. The one thing that concerns me is his pocket awareness of the pass rush. That was Justin’s biggest weakness and they both had high sack totals in college. But.. I did see some decent awareness and just that innate radar that senses pressure by CWs in college. It’s just that he would hold onto the ball way too long. And that was a lack of discipline. But I do think Caleb can be successful once he calms down and finds his way. But as much as I like Rome it hurt the Bears that they didn’t improve the O line more. Hopefully that third round pick will come on and contribute. Because Caleb needs to quit taking the brutal hits like he did vs the Texans. Honestly I never believed in Justin as a passer even though he’s a likable guy. But Caleb in the right time and situation I believe can be a successful NFL QB. Good luck man! I’m rooting for ya.
