Although I am Tanzania, but this is the best documentary ever seen. Really it makes me think about Africa. Why all these tortures to your countrymen? But I can also conclude that Kenya had warriors and not just brave men. Now it is our turn

Raila is a very forgiving man. He forgave Moi and even visited him severally before he died. He seemingly doesn't keep grudges. Kenya has come from afar. People really suffered for the freedoms we are enjoying today. History is very important.

I knew Lee Njiru was a Moi’s man for preserving information but I had no idea that he would be so evil in pushing for harsh treatment of dissenting leaders.He continued to be Moi’s private secretary until his death in 2018. Lee Njiru is now an old and sickly man living an isolated life at his village home in Embu county, may be quietly regretting some of the statements he has pronounced himself to as a sycophant of Moi. The 2010 Constitution is progressive and if implemented in full, Kenyans will join the progressive countries of the free world. The current urge for substantially revising the 2010 Constitution only ten years after promulgation of this Constitution is a selfish desire by one or two tribal chiefs who want to change the governance structure to one that can place these tribal chiefs in top leadership, particularly the Ceremonial President and the executive Prime Minister with their deputies positions. This is a very unpopular proposal among the Kenyans particularly because it has no ideological basis and it’s also extremely costly and coming a time when the country is economically struggling to recover from the devastation of the COVID-2019 pandemic.
We never used to go to school during sabasaba,especially schools in town,city centre,all in all after taking maziwa ya nyayo we were given a one day off school if just incase we found ourselves in school that day.

Wow! Zubeida, that was epic! I had not watched this but it encapsulates all that happened from 1988- mlolongo sham elections to Jubilee's reign and the fall of KANU. We need more of this especially because our seniors are dying . We need that History to be archived and we need to hear it from those who were in the arena. Even Moi is now gone, Rubia, Matiba............ I even forgot how George Anyona sounded but I am glad there is a clip of him. Great job Zubeida and KTN/Standard. Oh, and Uhuru is taking us back to KANU days. What he has done this month of May, 2020 is just KANU in a different suit. The more things change, the more they remain the same. I feel like those who have suffered most for us to be where we are have always been shortchanged when there has been some changes. All these people who have paid the cost for democracy get trodden under foot and never compensated for their losses or even honoured in kind.

Whilst the programme gives a good account of the histiry, iKTN missed a real opportunity to interview some of the women involved in making this history.Perhaps when making future documentaries KTN will remember to have a more balanced representation of interviewees.
