Yes more likely he confused it with the 1984 K250. K2000 was like $2,800 since day one.

Lol. And it's selling for $7000 on the street! More like $400. They do sound great though. Just took mine out of mothballs. He is correct about the weight though. Got the orchestral and contemporary roms.

I was probably mistaking it for the K2500. At the time these came out, I wasn't interested in Kurzweil at all, as I had a sizeable collection of Sequential Circuits, Oberheim, Roland, Korg and Akai. Anyway, I think I sold this one for $325, and I bought another one (a rare blue one) fully expanded for around $500. I still have it and play it. Hello.. It really is. I sold this one, then started to miss it, and bought the blue VP version, all maxed out with ram and sampling. It's kind of my go-to workstation these days, since I'm really digging ROMplers and 90's sounds. Thanks for watching! .. Oh, and it's great to still see you come around. :)

Pretty much, haha. It actually was very sturdy, despite all of the reconstructive repairs. I now have a rare blue model, fully maxed with sampling. It sounds stellar, and I use it a lot for pads. Thanks for watching.
