Kurzweil K2700 VS KURZWEIL FORTE: Ep.Piano, AC Piano, 

This is where the Forte's huge 16gb of storage comes in...much more details and string/ damper resonance than in the K2700. I love your Kurzweil videos! These boards are so underrated...

IMHO both have the same Piano sample but Forte somehow sounds better. May be the digital to Analog convertors used in K2700 are not of higher quality then Forte. There can be a lot of reasons. But Forte sounds much much better .

I've actually tried both, but the Forte's piano sound is soft, but relatively murky and less natural. One vote for the sound of the k2700

Lots of resonances on the Forte, some reverb too I guess, 2700 sounds dryer, not necessarily worse, in fact I think they both have got same sample banks, it's just some some difference in the parameters or decoding setups..

Forte sounds better to me. More dynamic and open somehow , where the k2700 sounds more ‘boxy’ . Is it the DA conversion. Lack of programming ? Other master EQ settings ? Indeed 16GB versus 8 ? No matter what the cause is , in this vid I vote for the Forte despite being it 7 years older than the K2700 in terms of processing power and improved (?) converter hardware . Strange outcome

Neither of these hold a candle to the top tier sample libraries for various plugins.. unfortunately. Would have hoped Kurzweil would completely reinvent the piano and sample it from scratch, but alas.. it is not to be.

Which of those keyboards can be reverted so I can play right hand part of a melody with left hand and vice-versa? Also, which of those keyboards allow setting notes to keys, so I can make a mirrored keyboard at D4, for example, to play the same pattern with the same fingers over the same notes in right and left parts of keyboard?

I feel that the different amount of reverb an it's possible impact on different frequencies make it hard to compare. To me it seems that the K2700 has a slight fatter low end when comparing. The Piano on Forte seems to be brighter and with more details, but I am not sure whether this is only due to the fact of sample size or if it coule be tweaked out of the K2700 as well by using Reverb and EQ settings

Forte seems sounds better than K2700..... as PC3 (and even Sp5-8 and Artis) sounds better than PC4...

Kto chce Forte niech się spieszy z zakupem.

Mam pytanie do Pana Pawła trochę z innego tematu. Jaką klawiaturę midi poleciłby Pan do wirtualnych instrumentów w np. Studio One, Cubase, czy innych DAW, aby wykorzystać różne filtry , itd. w czasie rzeczywistym. Posiadam kawai es110 i studiologic numacompact 2, ale nie mogę wykorzystać w pełni wtyczek w tych programach. Klawiaturę oczywiście z aftertouch. Filmiki ciekawe, tak trzymać.

So disappointing… I like the keyboard looks and layout, but the sounds are so disappointing in comparison to what we use now with plugins and sample libraries. I was hoping to get better sounds with larger memory and SSD, and yet it’s still the same ol’ samples with just some new effects or attacks… but it still sounds like a 2000-2010 keyboard. I will stick to use a keyboard controller with my computer…
